YESSS! I have experienced the same thing. Once the boil comes to a head and drain, it's leaves a sore and the sore takes forever to go away. I found that if I don't wear panties, the sore will some what dry up faster. But as soon as it is almost gone, I get a boil and it comes right back and fill up with white stuff and blood(like a pimple ready to be popped). I have spoken to my doctor several times about it. I have taken multiple antibiotics and topical creams. Nothing seems to work. I really discovered that the boils show up when I am about to have my cycle. The boil cream helps with the pain and a hot hot towel and hold it there for a couple of minutes and repeat about three times twice a day for about two days and the boils will subside, but for me the sore remains. One time my doctor performed some kind of procedure I guess he lanced the sore left behind from a boil and it dried up completely and never returned in that spot. it just showed up somewhere else later though. Now the sore has this hard line that leads from the sore to my bikini line. I don't know what's going on. One other doctor told me it was folliculitis (inflammation of the hair follicles).
First, let's clear this up. It's more accurately called an abscess. They happen because hair follicles get clogged.
The one thing you all are overlooking is the fact that our hormones change during our cycle.
Example: I've personally had a rare case of histamine releasing so strongly during the pms/menses stage, that my teeth even fekt sensitive. I was lucky to have large-dose flaxseed capsules for my omega 3 supplements, and that lowered my histamine.
I get abscesses around the area I sit, from thighs to outer labia. I think the abscesses form where underwear is tightest.
I'm also overweight, and it's actually a symptom to gain infections more easily. You don't have to even be "rather chubby," just over your healthy weight. Please don't get offended, it's just science.
I take hot showers, so they disappear fast. If you want, take a hot bath, or sit on a folded towel with a hot, damp washcloth, to help lock in the heat. Damp heat always kicks antibodies in gear for the area. I don't have luck with heating pads on abscesses.
If you choose to lance one, make sure the skin is very taut on the abscesses. Otherwise, too soon causes it to get much worse.
TL/DR: I break out in abscesses all the time on my menstrual cycle. I get chin pimples, butt pimples, even had what coukd have turned into a fistula (buttcrack abscess), but I was lucky.
Note on butt pumples: If you get one on your upper booty cleavage, drain it by carefully pulling the skin taut. It gently opens the access. You'll know you have kne if it feels like abruised tailbone, but you didn't hurt it.

I’m 46 I have had boils pretty much my whole life. They make me sick literally. Last august I had a huge one on my butt cheek... golf ball size but it was from the inside anyway I went to doctor took antibiotics out warm cloths on it and after 3 weeks it just ruptured!!! I almost fainted. Most horrible thing I’ve experience all by my self and thank goodness I was getting in shower because it had to be a gallon of red and white stuff just poured out all over my bathroom rug (trashed) it was loud and vicious and the smell ... I started telling all my family because it scared me so bad.... I told them every detail be cause I couldn’t find anything on how to prevent boils my whole life and if they are gonna just get worse age then they need to know just in case I could help anyone. Of course everyone looked at me as if I was weird and gross.... that’s the only one I’ve had like that and hope to never experience that again... I couldn’t sit for 2 weeks!!!! Still had normal boils on thighs, pubic area and under arms. Then one day out of the blue my 2nd ear piercing got infected and wouldn’t heal so thank goodness my doctor sent me to the infectious disease place in my county. This Doctor was amazing and basically told me that I’m a carrier of bacteria... he told me so much and it made sense everything he said til I went home and told my husband... pretty much my body has a hard time with a certain kind of bacteria and he said it’s getting mire common because of the super bug... pretty much bad bacteria’s my body will be a home for them???? I know it sounds crazy .... he told me to go home and Lysol my house every inch and my husband and son had to start spraying Lysol in car and school bags everyday for 2 weeks.... also had to shower with hibiclens antiseptic skin cleaner (from Walmart) for 2 weeks from head to toe and after drying off use it as lotion for two weeks. Was prescribed mupirocin ointment (antibiotic) to put in each side of my nostrils twice a day for two weeks.. Husband and son also had to do this. Yes it was a little expensive getting and doing this but we did everything to point. Three weeks later my boils and the little ear piercing hole had cleared up!!! Yes this worked and for 9 months no boils!!! I started getting a boil about two months ago and I still had my antibiotics and purchased more herbiclens, I sprayed Lysol all over house and that boil went away before getting bad. Sorry I don’t know all the terminology my doctor used but this absolutely worked for me. My ear piercing had got infected just out of the blue, I haven’t put an ear ring in that hole for years so for what ever reason that is why my doctor sent me to infectious disease Doctor. I don’t know if this would work for you but it is worth a try if you hate these skin monsters as much as I do(did). Hope this helps someone... good luck to you all
I too feel more at ease to find out that others have dealt with the same thing. One of my first ones I had to layer bandaids, gauze and horse wrap around my leg because it was so larger in my upper, inner thigh that I could barley walk. I cut it open myself and then put silvidine (or the OTC option) on it for a long time. I often get them along my underwear line- so I all the sudden have a spot that feels like a sharp pain/paper cut by my underwear and I cannot walk correctly… My doctor said it was due to moisture and your body flora changing. She said to keep it clean and dry. Using the white bottle of Goldbond medicated powder seems to help. Also, I try to avoid sweets & bread (it feeds the bad flora in you sensitive areas) and I try to avoid underwear with rubber/silicone lining (this tends to make it flare up more often also). I wish it would go away for good. I’m not as worried how it looks as how it forces me to walk- working, walking, and playing with my kids is so painful. Thank you to everyone who offered their story!
I just got one on my butt and I’m expecting my period any day now. Currently I am putting gauze in between my butt to collect the draining blood but I’m so scared that I might get my period as this is healing ANS then I won’t be able to keep the area clean cus everything is bloody and we wipe so much and it’s so rough down there. Do u have any knowledge or suggestion on what u do when the period comes soon after? Cus it seems ITLL be so messy and I’m worried. I don’t want it to make it infect the healing boil.
I am with you. I do not even want to date. I get boils every month during my ovulation and before my period. they go away a few days after my period is over, but they leave scars that are hard to get rid of. some of them are under the skin, other are ingrown hairs. my inner thighs are destroyed. I am so embarrassed to have sex with lights on. it is horrible. I cannot wear bikinis or be naked in the house with my man.
I haven't got my period yet but I have some
I have been having period-related boils for a while now, I want to say a year maybe longer. I have suffered from boils all my life, had surgery and they are still appearing. What else can I do?
