Smoking weed speeds up matabolism. I gained after stopping, only reason I stoped is my hubby hates it.
Same thing happens to me, smoke every day and i get down to about 53kgs stop for 3 months and im back up to 62 kgs. Its screwed i always end up going back to smoking just to loose the weight!

I smoked everyday for 6 years, went down to 7 stone (I am 5"5). I haven't smoked for 2 years and I weigh around 10 stone and I've honestly never felt healthier
Only lightweight smokers gain weight from munchies. If you smoke a lot you become dependant on it to eat or get hungry. When you quit your appetite returns to normal and you are hungry when you should be hungry instead of when youre high.
Im with you! Im only 100 lbs now and I hate it. I think everyones body reacts to it different and it depends on the bud but as for me, weed makes me lose weight. Really dislike how i look.

Hi, I'm currently facing the same situation as I have too smoked for years and struggled with eating disorders before smoking pot. If u still visit this forum I'd be very grateful if u can share with me if u had stopped smoking and what were the outcomes
Guys, i don't know what studies say but it's all individual.. I have friends who smoke daily and keep on adding weight BUT i also have friends who smoke daily and are skinny as sh*t - funny thing is they all eat pretty much the same (let's say it's mainly healthy stuff). It all depends on your body structure and a lot on your daily activity.
Now, been smoking daily for around 6 years i guess. I started the change since 2017. haven't quit yet, but i reduced it to only 2 weekends per month. First month was extremely hard especially when it used to hit me, used to lose my mind. Second month is much easier, you start sleeping properly and the anxiety is gone (very important - start doing sports, its a must). I'm doing sports now 6 days out of 7 and eat the same way as i used to - 3 to 5 meals a day, depending on my schedule and what i do. It's the third month now and i've gained 6kg so far. My guess would be that in my case - i add weight. I'm having this strange feeling it has something to do with the anxiety being gone now. My general state of mood is very calm now.

Honestly from what I have read so far everyone has different reactions I have quit smoking pot and cigarettes for almost 10 months now but believe me when I say this guys I was ina very very good shape and since quitting slowly and slowly I was putting on weight drastically and that's without really noticing until your jeans feel bit tight. Since then I've gained nearly 20kgs and I am baffled!!! It's time to hit the gym

I smoked weed for 6 years everyday I lost weight and could eat all day long and never have to worry about gaining fat !! I recently stopped because it was affecting my long term life choices and I have found even though I don't feel the need to snack because I don't get the munchies anymore I have put on a considerable amount of weight I do believe cannabis has way of stopping you from putting on weight
