Im 6'6 and have quit pot... 7 days in.
All i can say is for days 1-3 i ate barely anything at all. Days 4-7 my stomach has felt constantly empty. It has been churning non stop and im always hungry.
10 year every day smoker, minimum 2-3 grams ev/day for 5 years.
I was bodybuilding from 16 - 24 whilst smoking pot. Eating 5-8 times a day.
This feeling of apetite is like nothing ive felt before, and i know what its like to require a high calorie diet.
Im guessing this time round when i get back to the gym, ill require more amounts of food than opposed to being a stoned gym junkie, probably equivalent if not greater than the cost of my pot habbit.
Hope this helps some people..
Goodluck y'all!

I gained when I quit. Marijuana is a visor an addiction for somebody and they quit… And food might be a match to them as a replacement vice or addiction, then it's very possible that the food and take my increase as something to do in replacement for that other thing they used to do.

I quit smoking marijuana about 3 months ago after smoking heavily (about 8 grams) every day .. it was a little tough in the begging stages of suiting. I cut way back would would relapse like 1 time a week that went on for about a month before I actually was like ok I don't need to smoke any more.. in the past 3 months I have gained weight ..about 15..20 lbs.. But now I'm working out riding my bike for about 10 miles a day ( not as hard as it sounds) And am on a better eating schedule and feel like I'm getting healthier!

I've stopped smoking for 2 months after smoking for 5 years and I've definitely gained about 15 lbs. I'm considering smoking again because I do not want to get any bigger. Getting the munchies isn't as true as you think. I'd just drink water and eat a lot of fruit.

Yes marijuana does speed your metabolism every time I stop smoking a gain weight but soon as I start back I lose. Well research told me yes weed gives u the munchies but the speed of metabolism kills everything you eat so therfore when u see folks who stop smoking usually they gain weight and that's why. If someone loses due to stopping its because stress from quiting is causing it.

Thc is stored in your fat cells so yes it does stop you from gaining weight when i first started i was 75kilos now im down to 55 but whenever i quit for a few weeks the weight all comes back

When I first started smoking I weighed 48kg. Within several months I was down to 40kg. Stayed that way for 18 months, quit for 6 months and gained 15kg.

Took it up again and went from 55kg down to 38-40kg. Stayed that way for several years.

I quit again for good two years ago and I'm back up to 55kg,which for my height is bordering on being overweight.

I looked skeletal and sick at 40kg so I wouldn't want to be there again but I'd love to drop another 5-10kg.

I used to eat junk all the time when I smoked. Fast food, chocolate, chips, etc nearly every day.

Ever since quitting I hardly eat fast food and never crave chocolate anymore but I keep gaining weight even though I eat much less food and much healthier food.

Juicy...

I have a very similar story… I started smoking weed when I was 16 and smoked it quite heavily from that age until the age of 41… I have always been extremely petite to the point where my doctor was concerned… I smoked approximally eight joints a day give or take and ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted... It’s been just over one year since I quit and I went from 104 pounds to 135 pounds and I eat way less than I did when I was smoking weed so the facts are that smoking weed Contributed to me being petite and the fact that it is out of my system now has led to me put on quite a large amount weight for my stature of 5 foot 2.
