OMG, me, too! always associated with the "pee" dream, this has been happening to me approximately twice yearly since I turned 50 (I'm a 56 y.o. female). I can't help but think it's related to menopause, but I see it's common among the younger set, too. It's distressing that there aren't MD replies to this. My (young female) MD acted like I was nuts. next step: GYN. A very embarrassing problem.
Same here. I think our body is sending the signal, but one part of the brain isn't waking up to wake us up, and is somehow translated into our dream state. I am not a professional in this matter-just an observer. And for me it tends to happen if I've had a long period of exhaustion(not enough sleep for several nites) or when I have taken a sleeping pill, or have had to be on a pain med. Plus I drink coffee all day long, so the combo of urine producer & dead asleep brain............
FWIW: I was a bed wetter most of my childhood. I grew out of it, but then it reappeared in my early 20's a couple times, then stopped. And made a come back around 50, rarely happens, but it still happenes. Plus, I've also had short bouts of sleep walking as a kid & adult-I think there is a connection in terms of brain wiring.
Yes, I keep wetting my bed but it is always a dream that am on the toilet and during the dream I usually catch myself. So I would finish on the toilet. Quite embarrassing since I am sleeping with my husband. Don't know if it's insecurity, since I suspect my husband might be seeing someone else. Please help me understand what's going on . I was told by a doctor once, I retain water, and I know my bladder is always full.
I'm so glad I found you guys. This happens to me too. I dream I'm over a toilet and when I start peeing I stop and wake up and go finish in the actual toilet. What the hell causes this ? I'm male 43
i have the same problem if you know any feedback for the others
