You need to go to a chiropractor. The pain killers only mask the problem. The chiropractor will eE align your spine and take the pain away permanently

I am 18 yrs old and have been experiencing what almost all of you are reporting as symptoms. I have been getting a burning stabbing pain on my right hip and it is really hard to walk on or put any wieght on it. It has happened a couple times but last night it was intense i couldnt walk bend forward or lay down. The only way it did not hurt was standing and putting weight on my left leg. The heat that radiated through my hip was extremely warm i could feel it bursting through my skin. All this pain is located right at the belt line of my right hip. i took advil but it did not help much and im making an appointment but doubt that ill get any results. But lets hope

Hi there.

I also have this pain in my right side. You cannot touch it to feel the pain so it must be inside but i have noticed that my back have a burning sensation and that my upper leg has a nub feeling. It is not the whole upper leg. I also cannot sleep on my right side sometimes. I could not get into the car, couldn`t drive and had to slide off the bed to get up.It started wit this pain in my upper leg/hip and then got the burning sensation over my lower back.

I have used Norflex co and Mylan Diclofenac and it helps. I take one in the morning and one in the evening and also takes it only when the pain is too bad.. It doesn`t take the pain away altogether (you can still feel it but it`s better)   but it has taken away the burning sensation. I have tried gout medicine  (didn`t help) and also some other but these ones work the best for me.

What i also have noticed is that when its cold it worse,

I have had the same symptoms as just about everyone else on here. I saw an ortho surgeon and was diagnosed with a labral tear and I also have a cartilage defect. The pain feels like a knife is wedged into my hip as I walk. Rest does not make it much better. I waiting on surgery in november. I'll be having an arthroscopic surgery to fix the tear and the other cartilage issue and they will try to take out some of the arthritis too. Hope this helps someone!

It's not trochanteric bursitis. I've actually had that and recently (in April 2012) had the bursa sac in my left hip removed due to an injury that occurred 6 years ago. The pain I am experiencing, while just as severe, is not the same kind of pain. With bursitis, at least for me, the pain was a contsant sharp pain. The symptoms I am now experiencing, as well as many others, is very sharp, sudden and pulsing. If this was constant I think I'd shoot myself. Nothing helps the pain either. I am 44. After my surgery in April I finally was able to get back to the gym and originally thought (as did my chiropractor) that this was a pulled hip muscle but now I am beginning to wonder if it's something more severe like a laberal tear or pinched nerve. Side note, I've never had children and I don't have my uterus. Had that removed, along with my cervix, about 8 years ago due to cysts in my uterus so the uterus enlarging can't be it in my case. I'll be calling my doctor on Monday.

I've had osteoarthritis since I was a kid too. However, the symptoms I am now having in my rip hip havin only started to occur very recently and after I had the bursa sac in my left hip removed. I don't know what this is other than very debilitating. After fully recovering from my bursa surgery I was excited to be able to do the things I love to do, walks, motorcycle riding, exercising...hell just liviing normally. And then this started happening. The first time it happened a few weeks ago and I went to my chiropractor and we figured it was a pulled muscle but now I am doubting that, though I too can sometimes have a "longer leg" when out of alignment. I have no idea what the next step is but I do play on going to my doctor as soon as possible.

I have EXACTLY what u are describing. Ever had a LYME TEST???? I was positive for it back in 2009 and have NEVER been the same. I was on extreme massive amounts of antibiotics both orally and the IV for 4 months straight. I personally attribute everything wrong with me now to LYME disease!!! Im better, but not the same, and now this! I dont know whats going on...nerve damage? Still Live bacteria in the joints area? Joint damage? Dont know. I dont know how Im going to explain this to a Dr. Its all entirely TOO VAGUE. But very possibly due to the Lyme or some other bacterial infection!!!! GET A LYME TEST!!!!!!

I have been having hip problems for over a month now. When I lie down on my back for a period of time (at night or something) moving hurts. It feels like my hip catches in the joint. While moving during the day it hurts to walk or put any weight on it. I also have a stabbing/burning pain in my groin, which intensifies if I am sitting and lean forward. Even more, my entire leg (thigh, around the hip and buttock) are all unbelievably tender to anything touching it, even fabric. It all feels extremely bruised. I get sharp pains down the back of my thigh and buttock. The pain is constant and only gets worse, but never goes away.

This week I have had 2 MRI's, one with and one without contrast, X-rays, and a nerve conduction study. I have seen my PCM, a Rheumotologist (history of autoimmune issues) and a Neurologist.

NO ONE HAS ANY ANSWERS AND SAYS NOTHING IS WRONG!!!!

HELP

I have the same pain it has been around for months. It started with just horrible leg cramps that when they hit would keep me up all night walking the floors trying to relieve the pain. But for the last 2 weeks the pain is so bad if I lay downto sleep I csn't even get back up the pain is so severe. It takes everything I have to move. I don't know what is causing all of this. Does anyone?

A little late to reply, but I have a friend who had something similar and I thought it was sciatica and suggested my doc to him. Turned out those very symptoms can also be a side effect of certain statins used to treat high cholesterol. Check your medications with your doctor.
