Hi,

Honestly I'm glad to see other people experiencing this (not that I'd wish it upon anyone), but it relieves me to know I'm not going psychotic or my subconscious is trying to tell me I want kids. I'm 21 years old and I haven't had any surgeries or children. The only surgery I ever had was on my foot to correct a broken bone healing the wrong way. I get the rumbling sensation, only soft pokes, and always on my left side. I try to work out as much as I can and the area that is affected is to the left of my belly button, which would tell me it's the bowel region. I do sometimes feel bit lumpy there and when it first started I was like "I better not be pregnant" alas all pregnancy tests were negative, so I scared my boyfriend for no reason. My periods are clock work, always first week of every month.

The pain comes and goes, sometimes though when it gets really hard to deal with it begins to affect my lower back. I usually take Ibuprofen (pain reliever/anti-inflammatory) to coast through it. Now it has gotten a bit worse to the point I can notice the bloating taking over. I'm roughly 110-115lbs considering I have always had a high metabolism. Lately though I find myself oversleeping a bit   and found that eating red-skinned apples helps things out a lot, but still not curing it. I have no insurance and it takes hours just to be seen at the free clinic, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have not read all the posts but I too have been experiencing this daily since my cesarean 6 months ago. My feeling is not a pain, just that "flutter" you get during pregnancy. I'm a mom of 2 :) The only explaination I can come up is that's it's the bodies response to such trauma. Our abdomen & uterus were cut open which included muscle & nerves. People who lose lombs still experience pain and feeling for what I assume is the same reasons we are experiencing what we are. (?)

Wow, I am so glad I am not alone in this. I have a 3 year old, had him vaginally and no surgery. I have very irregular bowel movements either constipated or loose. I get excited when I actually have a normal one since it is so rare. I have been dealing with these phantom movements for about six months but thought maybe I was just very gassy, I am very thin so I thought that may have been the reason. But I have the bloating as well and the pain has been getting worse. Like another young lady mentioned it. Actually bulges in my lower abdomin and when I put my hand on the bulge it moves. My mother and an uncle have crohns disease and I am going to get checked as well. I'll post back, but if someone knows these symptoms please let us know.

This lady did some great research in this subject matter. Page 4. 10/6/09. If you are looking for answers, I would start here. In addition, it seems as if we all may have comprimised abdominal wall (diastasis). There is an EASY test to see if your abdominal wall is separated. Check it out on the web (sure hope I spelled it right).

I can't believe so many people have had this occur and no one know what it is.  It happened to me for the first time last week.  I was sitting in a chair.  There was no pain, just the sensation of rolling or flipping.  It was very visible as well.  I've not had it since.  I'm 53, menopausal, no chance of pregnancy, no recent surgeries or anything unusual.

I hate to post this because it is indeed a huge problem here in the United States that Dr.s are not wanting to admit or recognize due to thier ignorance in the subject if they are not a specialist. The ER Doctor's are the worst to go see in regards to it because they are not specialist nor will they test correctly. You are ALL describing Round Worms, Pin Worms, thread worms, hook worms, worst case Pork or Tape worms. We live in a country that has 3rd world vendors selling hot dogs and tacos on every corner, we do have an infestation spreading like a wild fire here in the states. If you are having more itching sensation around you anus and vagina and feel maybe a tingling sensation or even like a sharp pain that is small to an area, your eye or eyes twitch a little more than normal, muscle spasms just twiching away, itchy scalp, white bugers more in length, itchy ears, these are little worms that get all over your body, spreading to your homes and those around you. They are not life threatening but can cause problems such as diverticula, I believe they are the cause of Minear's Disease, my own theory on that one and other heath problems that the medical community does not want to see as a serious issue. People are more embarrassed or do not want to believe we as humans carry worms but it is pretty severe actually how bad they are spreading here in the united states. Do your research on the worms listed above here on the web and compare your symptoms. Believe me I gaurantee 99% of you will have your jaw on the floor and in shock by the time you read one or two post. The Doctor will give you a stool test, it will come out negative because the labs only test a piece of your stool from 3 viles that is the size of your finger nail which these worms and thier eggs mostly come out at night to breed and lay thousands of eggs that are invisible to the naked eye but you can see what looks like shiny little tiny threads about a cm long and has almost a metallic shine to them, you have to look hard, look on darker colors nof clothes, darker underwear you will actually see what looks like trail marks like a snail but it is from the worms, these can grow up to 20 inches long inside of you and there are thousands if you are just opening yourself up to realizing it after how many years. Do me a favor and yourself before more health problems or questions come up get a colonoscopy as soon as possible. See a specialist and bypass your doctor and get your heath back, Start immediatly with an intestional cleanse, after you start with the cleanse pay attention to the very strange odd shaped things that come out of your body and if in your cleanse you see what looks like long spaghetti noodles or things with membranes still attached you will know what I am talking about. Trust me this all sounds SiFi and creepy and it is because we are not taught these problems, we are not a country that wants to accept we are not as clean as we all would like to believe. I promise you this you need to do an intestional cleanse, they thrive mostly on meat and sugar so watch your intake and do what you can but the Doctor will give a pill to take for a few days, take a shower daily, maybe more, put all dirty clothes in plastic bags, keep your finger nails short, yada, yada, yada, this will help keep you from contaminating your body more because it is the eggs you ingest through licking your fingers, eating with your hands, allll these things you will read about on other forums, truth is if you have had this for as long as I have been reading, you will have it probably a long time to come, it takes a full year to clean out your system to alkaline it to make your body a hostile environment, which you all will have to change eating habits, new life style...IT IS THIS SEVERE....the pills will kill a few here and there, do not buy over the counter medicine it only paralizes the worms for a few days and can damage your liver severly, Please do your home work. I'm a Mom of two and this is not a childs problem, nor a 3rd world country any longer, nor a person who has a dirty home. It is here, in the US, in every state, especially the more populated area's and even the little bitty small towns, these are nasty things that are literally eating our vitamins and nutirents out of our bodies leaving us with scraps. You will read they cause diahreah and constipation., just depends on your body. DO NOT go by the Doctors text book reading, you know your own body than anyone else, tell them you want a colonoscopy because you have done your homework. I know this is a lot to take in but I feel I need to share the truth instead of letting everyone believe it's a phantom gas problem. Hope this helps, don't freak out, don't get depressed, keep living your life, keep loving, keep being. It's been here for years and will be here in a hundred when we are all dead. Just keep going forward just get your bodies healthy and alkalined to not be a host to other parasites that will enter you because you are already hosting some, when your immune system weakens you can have numerous ones at a time, so again watch your stool and pay close attention to any sensations on your skin, around your anus, vagina or sac. This is as real as it gets people. Good luck and God bless to all.

Hi, I have had this rolling intestinal movement for years and have also had a bowel resection due to diverticulitis but the movement continues so am thinking it is due to the diverticulosis as there are still pockets and pouches in my intestinal tract. Usually with the movement there is pain and then gas like I eat to fast and have alot of air in the intestinal tract. Have no idea why my intestines roll around but it is kind of scary and do not want to go thru another surgery.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was?

Hi, For several months I have had similar experiences. I often wonder if I could be pregnant as well, but my age, (44) and the fact that I had my tubes tied over 19 years ago, tell me NO. Not to mention, I've had irregular periods since October 2012, I just have to assume, I'm going through the next phase of my life. It would be great to be pregnant right now to give my husband a child, we don't have any together and both have grown children. The only thing I can think of is we have really bad gas, blocked intestines or cell masses that are growing and moving around. We both should get to a gastroenterologist soon. I wish you luck with your issue. It makes me sad, I keep hoping that I am pregnant as a miracle even with my tubes tied and God is just going to Bless Us with a child. Again, it could be IBS issues, try eating Activia yogurt for a week and see if it changes anything. Other than that, you can eat an apple a day, to help you go to see if that eliminates the movement. Good Luck. LT Wishing & Hoping in Troy, NY
