Maybe it would be worth it to go on a payment plan and pay it back once you have healed? I imagine your quality of life right now might make it hard to work. It would be worth it to ask them about it. I know if I were in that much pain every day I would definitely consider doing something like that.

Seems everyone hasn't figured this out yet. My pain is all over the front L/R side of carotid.
Curious if this is a new manifestation of stress - since according to Dr. John Sarno - many stress points can move when we are dealing with new or old stress - especially un-resolved.
I'm an analyst at nature - and if we fear sickness or fear responsibility we feel inept in.... we bottle up the negative energy to many somatic issues.
I went from severe back pain... that went away and became knee pain.. then heart palpitations.. Then cluster headaches... back to back pain... Then had a few years of great health. Then the process began with newer symptoms. Today I write with this neck problem - feels the fibers are all painful, kinda full feeling (stuffy).

Were you able to find what was it?

If the pain side of your thyroid was smaller then it could be underactive thyroid on that side. Either hyperthyroid or hypothyroid which ever it is for over or underactive thyroid. It's a type of thyroiditis which I think is what I have

Look up Eagles Syndrome. I was recently diagnosed with this and my symptoms are exactly what you describe.

What was your outcome? I have very similar symptoms.

I am experiencing the same signs/symptoms. I've seen the doctor and they believe its node related possibly fighting something off. They said come back in 4-6 weeks if it doesn't get better. Its been 3-4 weeks now. Its a weird feeling. I have the same type of description as above. Some days are worse than others. On my left side, interior of the throat. Hurts more when I swallow. Definitely distracting.

Yes, I have the pain in the fibers of my neck, both sides at times but mostly one-sided. Like all the soft tissues are inflamed, muscles, tendons. Radiates up into ear and occasionally I can feel the pain throb in the my neck and radiate up behind my eye on one side. Wonder if sinuses are connected to this issue . . . ?

I have the similar thing also! I just had my pre molar removed and had amalgam refilling on the molar beside it since it could still be saved. after a week, i am already experiencing this painful thing every time i swallow, eat or talk. i have not been to the doctor yet or the dentist if its related to my recent procedure. the pain i am experiencing is only in a specific part of the inside of the right side of my throat/neck. i sometimes press the lower part of my jawline to assist every time i swallow coz it hurts.
