did you ever figure out what this is?
I am experiencing the same thing, deep in my neck on the left side, just below the left jaw. I have adjusted my monitors at work tying to find the right angle (not too high, seems like I strain all of the time now) and it only helps temporarily. I had no idea so many others were having the same symptoms as I am. It also feels tight in the very left back side of my tongue. I have switched pillows at night thinking I might be sleeping wrong, but that hasn't worked either and I wake up extremely sore and stiff every morning on the left side of my neck. After coffee and a shower it lets up a bit. It gets worse through the day as I have to stare at screens all day. I was rear ended in my car pretty hard several years ago and I attributed it to that, but there is definitely something else going on here. It's alarming to hear that so many have gone through tests to find out they can't see anything wrong, because this is painful, stressful and agonizing. There's got to be an answer, guess it's time I make an appointment; that said, I NEVER go to the doctor, I've been lucky with good health, so when I finally decide I need to go, it's the last resort and must be bad for me to even go. It looks like nobody has given an update in quite a while, I would like to hear more from anyone who might have found any information on what this is. I keep checking my glands, but they match and are the same size, but it's definitely right there in that area. As the day goes on at work it gets increasingly sore and fatigued, I move my neck around trying to relieve it but comfort never comes. I do have to say it's easier outside of work, but after my 8 hours sometimes at home I cannot get comfortable, no matter what angle I rest my head in. Aleive helps, but I don't want to take pain pills very much and have my body depend on them. I hope to hear from some of you out there and that you've found either the diagnosis, a cure or some way of coping. Thank you and God Bless.
My wife has exact same problem too almost 3 years. It is getting worse. Do anyone found out problem?
It just started up on me and it is driving me crazy. I even thought it could be connected to me stuffed up ears from sinuses and allergies.
How did the tests turn out....same exact thing here. My grandmother passed from cancer in her throat a long time ago, so I never knew her symptoms. But this has been going on for over a year with increased feeling now. My doctor said anxiety. But I know it's not, when they say that, I'm discouraged of going back...i know something is not right...that feeling is very very specific. I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism...but she said my thyroid are fine. Well it's something going on...i FEEL it physically.
Did anyone find an answer?
I have the exact same thing but on the right side infront of my neck.I have no clue what it could be and its so painful and annoying i cant deal...dont know if i should go check it out or wat.
Same thing here left side of neck / throat it doesn't last long but it feels like something gets stuck for a second and then it goes away....it happened 3 times this morning and some days not at all my MD seemed to think it has something to do with GERD but I didn't have any tests done. Its scary when it happens though but it does make me feel better that I'm not alone here!!!
I HAVE BEEN HURTING FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS NOW. PAIN IN MY NECK, ALMOST NEAR MY ADAMS APPLE. WHEN I MOVE MY NECK FROM SIDE TO SIDE IT FEELS LIKE SOMETHING IS POPPING OUT OF PLACE. I DONT THINK THIS IS A THROAT ISSUE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TO THE ENT AND THE GASTRO DOCTOR AND NO ONE CAN SEEN TO FIND WHAT IS GOING ON. WHEN IT FLARES UP EVERYTHING HURTS, MY EARS, MY JAWS, HEAD, NECK! IT IS JUST AWEFUL! I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THE PAIN FOR SO LONG AND NOW IT IS STARTING TO GET THE BETTER OF ME. EVERY DOCTOR I GO TO JUST SENDS ME SOMERHWERE ELSE AND I AM NOT GETTING ANY ANSWERED. THE WORSE THING IS WHEN I SWALLOW, EVEN SWALLOWING MY SPIT, I HAVE THIS LUMP LIKE SENSATION. SERIOUSLY FEELS LIKE I AM SWALLING A BALL OR SOMETHING. I DONT HAVE ACID REFLUX OR HEARTBEAT JUST THIS. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TRY TO POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE I AM GOING CRAZY!
Oh my god. I too have the same thing. I do not know how to explain this pain. It's really weird. If any1 finds out a solution plz come back and write here.
I also have had the the symptoms that the last few have been describing. I had a gastro dr. do a scope while I was out and they came up with nothing. I decided to quit taking a medication that my GP had prescribed and the symptoms were gone within a few days. We often forget that some medications give side effects that are not always expected.
Hi all...
so in research for the past year I’m coming to find out that Doctors “practice” their lessons and also what they learned from where their residency. However they may not seek out new diagnoses or therapies... just like a Computer tech stuck on Windows 2000.
So I been researching Atlanta-Axial instability... now not all forms have a protruding C1. Now when C1 is compromised - bring on the pain, numbness, Tinnitus, Stomach issues, anxiety...etc
So I’m looking into Prolotherapy
I have already tried Chiropractor, Massage, Physical Therapy, Orthopedist, Medication...
My head still clunks doing jumping jacks or laying down with something under my neck.
Massive occipital tightness and pain and loud tinnitus
