I've had it for a long time but almost everyone in my family has it so
It normally happens when I wanna do something and I have to ability to do it (like sitting downstairs and wanting to go upstairs)
Eh also when I watch anime or read fanfiction I like to joke it's my hormones telling me I'm turned on //I'll leave now

I too have been experiencing a vibrating rectum for about a week now. It went for day now it is back again with vengeance. On telling my other half about it he could only lean up the doorway helplessly and dab his eyes. Now I am the butt of his jokes, (pardon the pun.) It isn't painful at all but it is driving me mad. I have a few seconds gap between each "buzz" and this can go on for hours then it will stop, maybe for hours then it comes back with it's usual frequency. I am curious if anyone has suffered from this for more than a month or longer. Your feedback would be appreciated.

Wondering if you ever received a diagnosis after your doctor visit? Thanks!

Hi! I was the poster about the parasites. Sorry to hear that your son has pinworms. Did he get over them? I actually don't have pinworms. I've seen two kinds of worms: 2 inch white ones, and a clear/reddish ''C'' shaped one with a black head. (Sorry if I gross people out, but it's just the truth and I'm grossed out, myself, and can't do much about it). Reece's PInworm is what I took, and the doctor gave me Albendazole. Then I was buzz-free for 3 weeks (in March)! But then it returned. I'm sure it's 'cause it didn't get them all, thus reinfecting me. Not long ago I took more Albendazole (I had several pills leftover) and more Reese's. But they don't seem to be working anymore. Well, I saw some white things in my stool which I suspect were worms a week after taking Albendazole again, but for sure the Reese's stuff does nothing anymore.

So since I still feel this weird vibrating feeling (not quite as strong and steady like a cellphone as it used to be, but it's still there and uncomfortable), I assume that I still have this problem. Oh, and I thought I got it from kale/spinach. I'm pretty confident that I contracted it because I work in an elementary school with kids from Mexico, and they travel there and back pretty often. I'm just a normal girl who's never traveled outside of the US (for fear of parasites!), and look what happened. So anyone can get this. Oh, and I did take antibiotics just days prior to the buzzing for strep.

Yesterday my doctor said he'll refer me to a gastrointesinal doctor. We'll see how that goes, but I feel hopeless now. Albendazole is the main drug they prescribe for this and it doesn't work for me, anymore. I hope your son is cured because this is not fun! I've been dealing with this since November.

I have read many, many of the descriptions here and I too have exactly the same symptoms. As suggested, I have had no problem with hemorrhoids. However, I do have a diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy, which causes me to have a lot of strange buzzing, twitching sensations, especially in the lower extremities. I wonder if this is just something related to that and do any of you folks have the neuropathy going on?

I'm wondering if keeping a cel phone in one's back pocket could contribute to a sporadic muscle spasm in the anus...even when the phone is no longer in the pocket...like the muscle is replicating the sensation of the vibrate mode or perhaps the electronic frequency.

I think this is probably hyperacidity...linked to acid reflux. Google it.

I think have to do with imune system not working properly. Imune disorder can resilt from various factors. Bad diet/alcohol/drug weed etc.

I am experiencing the exact same thing, and have been probably for the better part of a year. It's so faint that I blew it off many times as just going on in my mind, but I was telling my wife about it, and to my surprise she said she had been feeling the exact same thing. I've been desperately trying to find answers because the other thing that has been happening with my wife and I is that we have have severe back problems. And I'm also having problems with tingling pain in my foot. It has disrupted my sleep for better than a year. I'm past sick of the doctors (3 different ones to be exact) telling me they're not sure what's going on. Diabetes, plantar facitis, gout and others have been (so-called) ruled out. I've had MRI, EKG, X-ray and blood tests done and nothing. I stumbled over this blog trying to get answers about the bum-buzz, but I'm now thinking that all of my symptoms are part of the same unknown problem.
