Has anyone tried looking into kunkalini yoga? it sounds like the awakening of the kundalini...
i just started having this sensation as exactly described.. i was thinking spinal cord problem because i have a bad back..what in the world?
just like a small mobile phone on vibrate for a few seconds..doesn't hurt..seems like it must be neurologic..but i cannot find any medical referance, I am an RN, have never heard of this.
Hi all! I too am experiencing the "butt buzz" :) I actually woke up with the sensation this morning. It does seem to go away for a period of time, then comes back in a series of short spells, with the sensation lasting on and off for maybe 5 minutes.
I'm a 33yr old male, I haven't been straining when going to the loo, but it has been a little looser down there than normal (maybe too much info i know, but the more info we share the better our chances of figuring out what on earth is happening to our butts!)
I do suffer from anxiety / stress, and in fact had atrial fibrillation while down the gym a month back, probably due to stress and over doing it at the gym!
So taking into account what others have said and knowing I'm wayyy to anxious for my own good, I think this might be a stress related twitch, almost like when you haven't had enough sleep and your eyelids start going on the fritz!!

Hi Paul
I have seen a neurologist. Done many MRI and tests. all came back normal.
I am on Carbamzsipine 100 mg a day. it has worked. still on it. due back to see the doc soon. Not sure what happens when I stop.
I am also suspicious it is stress related but not sure. It more sound like twiched or block nerve somewhere down below.
Hope you found this infor useful
Please write to me if any change happens.
Regards
Ellie

Hi all, same problem here, vibrating, and after reading all the posts here I am not worried and although I don't drink coffee, I have been drinking a lot of Blue bolt (cheap but more potent Red Bull) lately and this seems to fit the bill. Thanks for removing concern.
I'm with you in the same club since 1 day !
It may sound crazy but those who said it's related to coffee are right !
I never drunk coffee before unless today ! Perhaps it has a relation , I don't really know ?
But it's great I'm not alone in a separate planet and others share the same issue.
Thanks all, I'm not worrying I think it's normal .....
Have fun vibrating :)

dont worry it more than likely is stress related. If you have anxiety or just alot of stress this can happen but it is not serious and it will go away
Just started having the same sensations as described, a throbbing for a few seconds and then a few seconds off. Started last night in bed and continues while sitting this morning. I took a different kind of laxative for 2 nights. Wonder if that's it...
I really thought I was imaging things. I was telling my sister "my butts vibrating" and she just laughed at me. I am constantly reaching for my phone. It's nut!! The only thing I can attribute mine to is anal sex. Although I don't have anal sex often I did about two weeks ago and that is about the time the vibrating started. It only happens periodically which is odd.
I am a 31 year old female and my butt feels funny ...lol.

"I have had the same feeling for the last few days so weird... I lift weights to and have been doing more lunges and squats then usual may be related to that... Don't think it's related to coffee for me I usually drink 2-3 cups a day nothing changed there... Never had issue like this before but cool to see it's not only me : ) hopefully it will stop soon..."
i'v been drinking coffee and monters and redbull for a while i think it might also be after a long time of lots of caffine it happens

Hi guys!
Its a feeling like tickling. I felt funny too. A secret - dont tell anyone - like shyness set in.
Later i felt that so long as it does not hamper my daily life, let it go on. Now I used to tell " Oh u have come . go on. I will allow u 20 sec maximum.. Sort of changing anxiety to fun.
It is like those floaters in the eye or the buzzing or ringing in the ears.
Ignore it.
Lte it have fun with us and go...
I have come to notice that this strange feeling in my anus only occurs when i am seated inn a very leasurely postition. i quicklty flinch my two butt cheeks together. this kind of tickles and i get mad at it. This usually stops it. Then it kind of throbs. i know when you think of the word throb, you probably think PAIN. it's not painful. it's just like.......... A HEART BEAT IN MY ANUS. HELP. :-(
I have the same problem- has been at least 6 months now! I found this site goggling. It is so annoying, but from earlier posts not dangerous. I was thinking cancer. I will try the hemorrhoid cream and pray it works.
When it finally stops "buzzing" It is such a relief- like an annoying motor turned off. Then poof it is back. Yikes!!

i have had hemorrhoids and am experiencing this odd vibrating or twitching sensation often.
Im a 52 yr old male and have had anus "throbbing " for off and on about 5-6 months. It started out as a "buzz"feeling but, no pun, has evolved into a throb/pulse feeling. I have had panick/anexity attacks in my past and hemi's as well. I can tell coffee agrevates it so imsureits stress related. Neverbothers me or wakes me up when sleeping. No anus sex or constipation.
