When I was pregnant after the ablation I was also scared and my regret is that I did not ask the doctor about the things I was reading online about pregnancy after endometrial ablation. I think that if I had maybe by doctor would have been more prepared for the complications I had. Find a doctor who will listen to your concerns. In particular ask about placenta increta especially if you are experiencing stomach cramps that leave you unable to move. I think that was my first sign that something just was not right but my doctor kept saying it was normal. The better prepared your doctor is for complications the smoother delivery will go.

Follow up. I ended up starting my period cycles after 3 years only to shave ads vinci hysterectomy 2 weeks ago (3/2013) and found early stages of uterine cancer. Was told uterine cancer rates for patients with cryoblation is greatly increased due to masked symptoms. I feel very lucky to have had my daughter healthy but to have found my cancer before it was too late

What were your symptoms of pregnancy when you found out you were expecting? I had the same procedures that you have had, and have no longer had periods. I have gained weight and most is in my belly. I had not entertained the thought that I may be expecting ..... It would be a blessing !

Hello! Did everything go ok with the delivery of your daughter? Could you tell me if you got pregnant through intercourse or IVF? I have had an ablation and my partner and I will have to go through IVF. We are meeting with the fertility specialist this week, very anxious and nervous.

I am currently pregnant 9 weeks and I had the nova sure done almost a year ago. My dr said she never had a patient who got pregnant after novasure and it was successful. She had me go in for an ultrasound and they said everything looks fine. I saw the heart beating etc. The problem in my case is I am already 41 years old and thats ANOTHER risk. My Dr explained I will be very VERY high risk and my body may reject the baby after a while if my uterus cant hold it. I have opted to have my pregnancy terminated. There are just too many "what ifs" that scare me and my age on top of the novasure means all bad in the future. I dont want to wait and see and its a big chance I will be disappointed. I will be terminating the pregnancy this evening.

I had my tubes tied in 2005, divorced in 2010. At the time I did not think that I wanted any more kids, I had 2 boys and 2 girls, all born by C-section, and a tummy tuck to boot. I met someone else in my life, and decided to have another child. June 2011, I had a tubal reversal, without any other help to conceive, I found out I was pregnant November 2011. I gave birth to a healthy son in July by C-section. I had an ablation and essure because I had too many problems with mirena, now although my family is complete, I regret everyday that I had those procedures done because I still have a period, every month, even though it is considerably lighter, cramps still comes and goes, and as a nurse I will probably hear that it is probably scar tissue, even though I was told that I did not have much. Go with your gut, and do what feels right for you.

I am almost 49, had an ablation in approx. '06. Also had office Leep in '08, due to cheating husband - I have no bleeding, but all other monthly feelings of ovulating...I was warned about contraception as told life or death if got ectopic - diagnosed with endometriosis at 19, after emergency surgery & opted for ablation, due to very heavy periods, to where couldn't leave house a couple days a mth...my husband at the time had a vasectomy & doctor knew after 15 yrs marriage not going well, asked if would meet someone younger & want to have more children? I had a son at 24 & a daughter & 31 - I was 41 at time & said certainly not - now a grandmother of 4 & 2 yr old. Recently been dating a man not fixed, I am sensitive to chemicals and opted for non-latex condoms, but not used immediately & only one drop has plenty - yes have to stop passion & be responsible...It too me 3 and a half years to get pregnant with daughter & had a hysterosalpingogram to open tubes (blue dye) - scheduled near ovulation & then checked to make sure not ectopic - I have been light headed, nausea, but also was ill not long ago with flu & very bad cold. I have apt April 15th for routine pap to discuss all, as right upper leg burns - where had cyst rupture when I was 19. I drink lots of ginger tea & read can make your cycle more regular - read after intercourse, now not sleeping well, worried - praying this is a warning, not to try again - not worth life lost, pain, or surgery & bills...I believe tubal & vasectomy best, but have heard couples still conceiving - my mother had regular periods until 58, when had hysterectomy & know of a lady 53 who had a baby girl - no thanks...rather my kids be having kids instead..

I had an ablation in 2006, I have had 2 pregnancies in a year. 1 did not develop past 9 weeks and the 2nd happened 3 months later. Unfortunately after lots of worrying and stress my waters broke at 18 weeks whuch caused a cord prolapse and we lost our son. I have been told by the doctor that it most likely happened due to the ablation, although they can't proven that. there are many complicated risks to mum and baby during pregnancy after ablation And it's been heartbreaking goingbthroughbthese losses. My message would be to really think about the enotional turmoil you go through. X

If you are thinking you want a child than don't have the ablation done until you are certain you don't want any more. The risks to your health and the baby's are to great. I had the Novasure done in July 2008 and didn't have a period until October 2012. Now I'm 5 weeks late and scared to death of the what if's. My first three pregnancies were difficult enough without the added complication the ablation may cause.

I am 44 years old & had an ablation last year, but would seriously love another baby with my new partner, I still have a regular period even though its lot lighter. Did you still get a period I have read hat I you still do it can mean there is still lining so a pregnancy might hold better.
How was you recovery ??

Hello I just read your post and had some questions! I had an ablation in jan 2013, no period till about 4 months after but it was heaven compared to what I was dealing with! Anyway, I just found out last week I am pregnant but I also had my period last week! Which was normal nothing out of the norm! I went to te doc and they did 3 hcg tests, April 8th- 29, April 10-36, and then April 16th-96! Obviously it isn't easing the way it should! How far in where you when you found out you we're pregnant and how did your pregnancy go? Thank you for your help!

Can you tell me what happened? I had an ablation in jam of 2013 and I'm pregnant, not sure how far along because I just had my period last week! Hcg levels are as follow April 8th-29, April 10th-36, April 16th-97! So their not raising like they should. Doc calls and says it's probably not a variable pregnancy or it could be eptopic! But she wants me to come in in another week! I am not currently experiencing any pain!
