yesterday night my upper lip on my right side swelled up like a balloon and spread into my right cheek causing that to swell. Then both my eyelids swelled up! My left one way worse then my right. I looked like the freaking elephant man!

I have bad allergies and have to take anti-histamines everyday. The thing is that it's never ever been this bad before and I only skipped 1 day of my tablets? So does this mean its going to get worse and worse?

BTW its been 24 hours and my eyes are still slightly swollen, i'm using an eye spray on them

Hi.my 3year old son was diagnosed with preseptal cellulitis last April 29 after 3day of eye ointment and antibiotics only little improvement appeared so we were advised ti go to hospital for antibiotics thru veins and oral clindamycin antibiotics given.after 7days,there has been a big improvement but the swollen upper eyelid is still a bit big.will it just go on its own?or I need to continue his medications still.i haven't talked to his pedia yet and we can't locate her,,so I don't really know what to do..

For the past YEARS I've been waking up with my eyelid swollen not painful just wondering WHY??? It's been over ten years I've had this issue. I've heard it's from stress???? I've seen a doctor for this all she said was "in grow eye lash"

This is extremely helpful. I've also seen a primary care physician, optometrist and dermatologist and they all ruled out infections. The trigger was a facial appointment (she got pretty close to my eyes and my eye lashes were wet when I opened my eyes and my vision was foggy, so the stuff probably got into my eyes). But then the swelling hasn't gone away and it's been 2 months. I tried both cold/warm compress, tea bags, anti-histamine orally and eye drops, cortisone cream.

The dermatologist recommended a skin test, but I'm not to convinced because I don't use the products that the facial person applied and I'd never had any skin issues prior to the facial. Now I'm seeing an acupuncturist, she suggested my weakened liver which is related to stress. I also started to feel the sinus pressure along with the eye pain (on the right side), so I'm doing the nose rinsing daily and sudafed when I feel congested. My eye pain is mostly gone, but my eyelids are still swollen/heavy. I haven't been able to wear contact lenses or eye makeup for 2 months which make me feel ugly, thus not feeling social. I know it's a vicious cycle. I'm getting another therapy appointment soon.

I hope we'll all feel better soon.
