im so scared im quite young an i cant explain to my mum..does it go away/.
I am a 62 y o female who has been a paraplegic since birth. I have had this leaky thing for the past two years and, since I sit all day, I now have open wounds from sitting in wet. It started out as three small open wounds that I would try to keep dry, but no matter what I did, the wounds became bigger and bigger. Now my bottom is raw, but I still have to sit to do what needs to be done during the day - clean house, take care of child, shop etc. I am seeing a wound care specialist but she doesn't know what to do. She says it is from the cushions that I am sitting on but I have been sitting on the same type of cushions for years. Sometimes the leak is so bad, my whole skirt is soaked by mid noon and then I have to change and then again by the end of the day. No one has said anything to me about "leaky butt", but I have told the wound care dr. and she ignored me. I have left notes for my primary but she hasn't gotten back to me (socialized med -- isn't it great!). No one seems to listen. I have no pain around there but then again I AM a para. Had a hemipelvectomy many years ago which left just a flap for me to sit on on my right side. This alone causes the water to be retained between my cheek butts. I have tried pads (womens menstral and pee pads) but they need changing quite often and now with this wound getting bigger all the time, I am worried about infection. My butt is one piece of RAW meat!! Don't know what to do. Any advice from anyone would be appreicated. BTW, I cook quite a bit with garlic and drink cranberry juice for my kidneys but I don't think that is the answer cuz I have been doing that for years. Tks for letting me sound off here.
i think it's not mucus as the doctor said, i think it's related to antibiotics
i have this problem after taking strong antibiotic
My symptoms have unfortunately come back. I stopped taking the medication I was on as although it did stop the leakage (perhaps by dehydrating the stools somehow), it had an unsociable effect of making terrible, terrible gas that one time, I'm pretty sure it destroyed everyone's evening in a bar! lol. Yes my life sucks that much sometimes! Now I still have the leakage problem, but some of the soreness has gone away and I definitely smell better most of the time. For me, exercise and limiting the amount of oil/dairy in my diet definitely helps better bowel movements, fewer times a day. I may try more medication at some point, but at the moment I'm focusing on fitness and diet to see if that can help.I also experienced my onset of symptoms after taking an incredibly strong anti-biotic. It's really changed my life for the worst, but it's also taught me something about how randomly unfair life can be, and how you can become stronger by battling through this kind of (£$*$£!
Any diognosis yet any of you?
This is happening to me now, for the past 6 months. My summer uniform is white linen trousers with everything. I now need to wear towels!!! Please help. xx
Try taking a food allergy test and stop consuming foods in which you are allergic to. This might help.
You say might... Maybe it's a good idea to sleep all day untill you forget you have the problem, it might help...
Please, when you comment explain why you think it helped you or someone you know for sure. Better, only react if it helped to cure yourself. That way we aren't guessing and you can truely help people out here. So, did you ahve anal leakage and did you do an food allergy test? if so, did it stop after you stopped consuming those products?
Thnks. Wasn't meant to be harsh. Just wanne help people out here,
I have been having this problem for 5 days. I went to the doctor today and they wanted to a poop sample to determine if it's an internal bacteria infecting my intestines. My anus leaks feces and it looks like I have hemorrhoids. I will find out the results tomorrow. Also, check your diet and get a food alergy test. Take the test ASAP and stop eating the foods that you are allergic to. This will benefit your body in many ways.
Update:
I have a severe Hemorrhoid issue and need surgery. The diarrhea is another problems and the sample will take about a week to diagnose.
For now I need to find a good surgeon and have this surgery ASAP as my feces will continue to leak from my anus.
Wish me luck guys.....
Hi 40 year old. I am 79 and started having leakage problems several years ago. I have had three colonoscopies, one hemorrhoid operation, and several anus checks by my doctor to diagnosis why I have such leakage and burning after a bowel movement. It is embarrassing to say the least and time consuming. I frequently have to remove my under pants and hand wash them after a leakage session. I also use toilet paper placed up my rectum to collect the spillage but not all the time. The leakage is very irregular and mind boggling. Presently I am trying to find male pads, much like Kotex, but no luck so far. I also believe if I find pads I will need a belt to hold the pad. I don't know if there really is a cure, I think it is part of aging so I am trying to deal with it.
Pepsi
I think the problem because of Pepsi, after i stop Pepsi the porblem reducing too much.... i'll stop 2 week to make sure and i'll send you my feedback
I had this same problem for years. I had a doctor test my stool, and it turns out there were 2 parasites present in my intestines; ameobiasis and giardiasis. I was given medication for it, and within 10 days (that is how long the treatment lasts) all the symptoms...flatulence, foul smelling loose stools, unable to wipe myself clean after a bowel movement...all went away. Shigella is another parasite to test for. All 3 of those parasites are often found in gay men.
