I also have this severe belly button pain and pulling sensation during my period every month. The first time it happened I went in and thought I had a hernia. I've had multiple abdominal scan and they found nothing. Feels like someone is stabbing my belly button during my period. I already have a diagnosis of stage four endometriosis, PCOS type two, IC which is bladder disease and have had several ruptured ovarian cyst and endometriomas. This is definitely related to hormones or endometriosis. I'm going to have my new doctor examined my CT scan from a few weeks ago to see if he can find anything. So far no one seems to understand this kind of pain and finding an answer is very difficult. I also get very bloated around my period when this happens.
Hi, I'm having very sharp and intense stomach pain in the top of my stomach and along my pelvic bone area. The pain cause me to feel faintness, tingling and sweats. Stops me in my tracks. Pain is intense like labor pains. This has happen to me two times now. This being the second time and the pain is worst then before. After taking pain pills the pain eases up at the bottom of my stomach but not the top. As I'm writing this I'm in pain upper abdominal pain, only find comfort by laying on my side. I don't know if it's associated with my tubes being tied or a health condition. Any insight???
i was having the same issue. after a year of dr appts and a trip to the ER. I was also up every night for 2-3 hours in pain that could not be cured. i just had to deal with it until it stopped. I had a ct scan that showed my ovary doubled in size. my dr made an apt for out patient surgery to remove to ovary. once on there he saw a huge sack of cysts( why my ovary looked so enlarge) and endometriosis everywhere. Its nice to have an idea finally bc i was getting discouraged and helpless. My dr cleaned out the endometriosis and I am going to start injections to help with the endometriosis. However if they do not help I will have to get a hysterectomy. Hope this helps bc I know how lonely and horrible it is.
I feel for you. Mine is sore and every step hurts.
The fact that you had ovarian torsion caught my eye. I'm three months past my ovary torsion "ordeal" that was caused by a 16 cm cyst, and then a removal or my torsed ovary, the cyst and a torsed fallopian tube. The pain was in the ovarian area for the first day, but then while I was in hospital awaiting surgery, a great deal of my pain shifted to my upper abdomen. I even asked if maybe my bowel was obstructed in addition to the torsion! haha! The location of the pain just didn't make sense. Since my period has returned, I experience menstrual pain in the upper region now (not related at all to gas or gallbladder, I've checked). I don't get "regular" cramps anymore, but instead these upper abdomen cramps. I also get front of belly pain (probably from the laparotomy scar?). So weird. There must be a connection. Never felt that pain until my torsion.
Hi - were you ever told what it was. How has the pain changed. I am 48 - upper rubber-band feeling and get really bloated. I still have not found anyone who saw a doctor and was given a final diagnosis or true findings. Please let me know. Thanks!
