HI there,
So I am 21 and I have had these symptoms for as long as i can remember:
1)ALOT of milky discharge that dries yellow on panties
2)Vaginal Dryness (Lube doesnt help) for this I give my bf a blowjob til my saliva gets "slimy" then its super easy for him to get it in.
3) A strong bitter taste and smell when I have sex.
4) Pain when I have my legs on his shoulders during sex.
5) A pink spotting a day before my period
6) the white stuff on my bf's penis after sex that dries up n flakes off. Also, the rolled up little flakes that are on the sheets afterwards.
I have had a miscarriage in July 2009 but these symptoms I have had for as long as I can remember. ( I think this caused the miscarriage). I have also been trying to get pregnant for the past 9 months but no deeeaal!
I have been two 3 different Dr's and one Gyno on to my next one in Dec (long time to wait so I decided to do some research on it so I have a Better understanding of what I am dealing with); everything has come back clean and the Dr's said I am 'Normal" [WTF?!?]
I have also gone to the Natural Foods Store and Spoke with one of their health care practitioners about me trying to conceive and he suggested me taking maca pills. They're for enhancing libido and sexual function, increasing energy and endurance, balances hormones, and many more benefits. He said the vaginal dryness was because my hormones were out of balance. He suggested I take 2 pills for 3 days, 4 pills for another three days and then 6 pills for another 3 days then about 4 pills everyday after that. I am on day 5 right now so I took 4 pills.
I had also went with the cytolytic vaginosis theory and douched with baking soda. I am no longer bitter and the smell is not strong. I like it now but I will see if it syticks around. If not, looks like I will be investing in some preseed and doing it that way.
Will update as much as possible for how effective these treatments are.
Thanks for reading :)
I honestly think you should try douching with baking soda! 2 tbsp in 4 cups of water. it has done wonders for me for the past 2 weeks. my vagina feels normal for the first time in forever!! Just give it a try to see if it helps. I did mine once every three days. Also, your cervical mucous varies throughout the month depending on your fertility. the day you got "wet" could have been you ovulation day sinc eyou said it came back again.
I am still a bit dry so I am going to try preseed soon. But the odor has gone away completely!!! and I feel pretty normal down there other than the dryness.
I think every female here that has been cleared of having any STD/infection for this particular problem needs to read up on: atrophic vaginitis.
Atrophic vaginitis is inflammation of the vagina due to thinning tissue and decreased lubrication. It is related to reduced estrogen levels.
While this is most common amongst post-menopausal women, it can occur in young females.
The white discharge is the vaginal lining, which has thinned and dried because estrogen isn't available to keep it healthy. This leads to irritation and inflammation, which will cause painful intercourse, and produce a white to yellowish discharge
(By the way, if you have this condition, you most likely suffer from other gland related problems such as: acne, difficulty conceiving, irregular periods, etc)
I would suggest each woman here look into a possible hormonal imbalance/dysfunction and seek healthy, natural lifestyle corrections such as diet change, increased water intake and proper supplements to affect overall health and in-particular to support healthy functioning glands.
While many here have found comfort in knowing they aren't alone and that this issue isn't so "abnormal" afterall, the only true relief is when we suffer this issue no longer. Whatever your quick short-term fix is, the reality of reoccurance is certainly undesirable as well as unhealthy and I would urge each individual not to stop until they have found the right combination of changes to end this frustrating condition.
Wishing you ALL the BEST of success and a life lived healthy and well!
I thought the chunky/abnormal discharge would go away in its own, but it never got better. Fed up, I decided to do a little research, including reading some posts on this forum (so glad I am not the only one) and I found a way to get rid of the chunky discharge.
I am thinking that the good bacteria is not controlling the bad bacteria in the vagina, for whatever reason (it could be different for everyone), causing the bad bacteria to flourish and cause the chunky white discharge; there is probably more to it than that, but whatever.
To fix the problem:
*I used hydrogen peroxide diluted with water and dipped a tampon in it. I just placed the tampon in the entrance on the vagina, not too far since I did not want to kill all the bacteria (just wanted to give it a good kick), and left for 15 min. Took it out and rinsed vagina with water.
*I only used the tampon once with the diluted hydrogen peroxide, then the rest of the times I just cleaned the outside of the vagina and just a little (maybe an inch-- probably less) into the entrance of the vagina.
*To replenish the vagina with good bacteria I ate Wegmans band pre- & probiotic yogurt and took acidophilus pills. (any probiotic yogurt will work)
*Within the first two days I saw a significant difference; much thinner, and less 'scoop-able' chunky discharge.
*I just kept using the diluted hydrogen peroxide--- less and less every night though--- then every other night, to clean the vagina.
And ate at least 1/2 cup yogurt everyday and took acidophilus.
It has been around a week, and today is the first time that I have had no abnormal discharge. I have stopped using the hydrogen peroxide (it is tough stuff, don't want to go overboard) for now, but keep eating probiotic yogurt and taking the acidophilus everyday.
I will never stop eating the yogurt or taking acidophilus because then I will always have plenty of good bacteria to fight off any bad bacteria and, hopefully, not have this problem come back ever again.
***Now, just because this has worked for me (so far) does not mean it will help everyone; we are all different. Some people may not agree with what I did, but I had no side effects from it and I feel sooooo much more comfortable now. Also, it may or may not work as fast for everyone too; but at least it's an idea--- try it if you want
I'll update if I have any changes since it has only been a week, you never know. And if anyone tries this, or found something that really works for them, reply, I'd like to know what you did. good luck everyone
