Wow, I just need to write about my experience, I hope it helps all of you. I have the same symptoms like most people in this forum thread, and I went to the gynecologist in the US very often and I tested negative for everything even yest. It sucks to hear that it is normal, when obviously it is ruining my life and stresses me out so much. My discharge is white and tastes bitter, it also has a very strong smell. I have also other symptoms like frequent urination, but docs say everything is just fine. I am originally from Ukraine so when I went back home I got tested for all STD's and they found genital mycoplasma and staph. It is extremely difficult to cure, but these bacterias can cause discharge. I drank the prescribed antibiotics and actually discharge started to clear up and I started feeling better, but after coming back to the USA i had sex with my bf and it all came back. Both partners need to be treated. So try to ask you docs about mycoplasma or look it up on internet, there is not much info but hopefully you find smth.

OMG  I have the same exact problem.  I'm 42 years old and have been with the same partner for 12 years now. For almost 4 years I have been noticing a thick white discharge on my underware and during sex. It has very little to no odor.  It isn't any sort of yeast infection or vaginal infection.  my husband and I have been checked for all STD's and infections.

I've have mentioned this to my OBGYN on every visit and every time she says she can not see anything but normal discharge.

I don't what else to do I have almost lost the desire for sex

I need help

I am 21 and I also have shared this same problem for years! I have a trick that may help some of ya'll to ease the embarrassment. It first started happening to me when i was about 16 and with my first serious boyfriend. I would be horrified when during sex his penis would come out cover in that thick, white discharge. I thought there was something seriously wrong with me, so did he lol. but anyways, I found a little quick fix that works for me so I can maintain a normal sex life. Every time I take a shower I use my finger to scoop out the discharge, rinse it off my finger and keep doing that for a minute until i'm all cleared out down there and my finger starts coming out clean. I know it's not a long term solution but it has worked for me for the past 5 years. My Current boyfriend would never guess that I have an issue with discharge. We are able to have a very fulfilling sex life. I've found that as long as I clean up down there the same day I plan to have sex everything will be good to go! But after about a full day/ day and a half the discharge will begin to build back up, so repeat the process. I hope my stupid little secret can help at least one other girl struggling with this issue, I know how stressful it is. Good luck to all you beautiful ladies :)

I got treated for mycoplasma (bad bacteria - which also causes throat infections) and drastically changed my diet to promote healthy bacteria. I took at 7 day course of doxycycline and have cut out most sugar and wheat products. I still cheat on occasion, but never more than one sugar or wheat product a day. I also try to incorporate yogurt or cottage cheese into my diet every day. My discharge and dryness is completely gone, and my nice mucous is back! Have your doctor check for mycoplasma. It's easy to get, and hard to detect. It's not necessarily sexually transmitted (although it can be). It's just an overgrowth of bad bacteria. My man also went on the doxy treatment in case he harbors the bacteria also. I've thrown out all my "toys" to prevent any re-contamination. I also had stomach bloating and frequesnt urination as well, which are also gone. Between the doxy and the healthier eating, I am back to normal. Hope this helps!

I too have had this problem for years. No STD's and 2 Dr's gave me the all clear. I am 34 and have had 3 kids. I didn't notice this problem until after I had my babies. I got the thick discharge you get when you are pregnant, but it just never went away. I have been on the pill since I was 19. Has anyone had the problem of getting rashes? It's almost like a diaper rash because it is always wet down there. It extends to the anal area as well. I am so sick of this! Also, the discharge is so thick that it fuses my pubic hair together every freaking day and I have to separate it with my finger. There are dried up yellow clumps of disharge as well as creamy goop. Enough grossness for you all? Just call me crusty crotch.

I've also had this problem for 10+ years. It started with a yeast infection and never went away. There's nothing I haven't tried to get rid of this thing and I had already given up when I decided to google it once more. That's when I came across this forum. I just got off the phone to make an appointment with my gyno to test for mycoplasma. I'm hoping this is finally the end to my suffering. I promise to update you girls with my results. In the meantime- hang in there!

I am replying to myself. I went to another gyno and she said, "There's nothing you can do about it. It's just how your body is." That makes 3 total Dr.'s saying just deal with it. She said I can smear a little Crisco down there after I shower to keep from getting rashes. Weird-huh.

Just been to gyno again. This is very frustrating, is anyone else experiencing other symptoms like frequent urination and random cramps? It dries up like dead skin - so disgusting! I find if i am active and working it comes on more rather than when im relaxing. AH

I just posted about this as well. I need answers quick. Here's my story: I'm 22 and have been on birth control since I was 19. About 6-8 months after I had been on the pill (Loestrin at the time), I stopped getting my period for 8 months. I switched from Loestrin to Ortho TC Low, but had some spotting so now I'm on regular Ortho TC. Ever since about a year into my birth control ordeal, I've been having more than excessive vaginal discharge. It's white (but against a white surface it has a yellow tint), does NOT smell and does NOT itch. It's not chunky or frothy or runny. It's thick. I guess it's what you would consider "normal" discharge, only it gets so bad that not only is it all over my boyfriend's penis when we have sex, but if I don't douche, it will drip out of me in mass amounts! There is also a pressure-like dull pain around my left ovary, and the discharge is mostly coming from the left wall of my vagina! (yes - I've checked!) I've tried not douching. I went off the birth control pill for 2 months, nothing. I've been tested for yeast, BV, ALL STDS. I've had pelvic exams AND sonograms to search my ovaries/fallopian tubes for cysts/infections. I do have HPV but was recently diagnosed and this has been going on since well before I was diagnosed. Also, my specialist says that it's unrelated. I have been to 3 different gynecologists, including one specialist. He suggested pro-biotics but I've been hearing that they don't work at all! The ONLY thing that ANYONE can suggest is that it's my birth control changing and increasing my vaginal mucus, and that being off it for only 2 months was not long enough for me to regulate again. I'm thinking the worst - cervical infection, fallopian tube malfunction, tumor...although it doesn't hurt when I press externally, but when I have sex I will often have pain on the left side where the discharge comes from! If nothing has been discovered during any sonogram/pelvic exam, what would cause this pain and discharge??? It's been driving me insane for almost 3 years and I cannot take it anymore. Someone please HELP.

I am only 15 and I am having this problem. I am not sexually active but have been tested for STDs(doctors didn't believe my virgin status)and infections. I was A okay in every department. I have recently stated to eat more fruit and vegetables. I drink enormous amounts of water and urinate accordingly. I am not under a lot of stress, but I would like to investigate that aspect of this problem. I have been sexually assaulted. If any more of you ladies has been please speak up now so that we can get some answers.

ok, sorry I know its been over a year since the last response but I had this as well.  I'm not on any BC because my husband and I are trying to get pregnant.  This is what my doctor told me, apparently it's a mix between being dehydrated and being stressed.  The lack of fluids is the big kicker, and if you're a drinker...it doesn't even have to be that much because I myself would have a glass of wine or two a day if that but any alcohol can contribute to this.  Its nothing abnormal cause as you can tell many women get this.  I told ym doctor that I notice it the most when we are having sex and get this.  HE said that coupled with all the things going on and the stress and stuff my body was having a little orgasm without me feeling it so it was getting thicker during sex.  The taste, being that it was bitter was from the foods I had been eating and if I were to incorporate more sweeter foods like fruits and such it would help with the taste.  hopefully this helps someone out there cause it sure helped me.  The more water I drank and the more I stayed hydrated the less is was a problem.  If anyone needs help with this or needs to talk, trust me I know what you are going through, ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** private e-mails not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use

Has anyone heard of a diagnosis of a sort of vaginal dermatitis (aka vaginal eczema or a similar dermatological condition, and NOT any sort of infection/imbalance)? I saw on another post from a different thread that someone posted their dr prescribed a specially compounded cream to use internally every night for 2 weeks, then as needed after that (5% hydrocortisone and 2% Clindamycin, made for me by a compounding pharmacy). He also prescribed a steroid cream to be used externally daily for a week then every 3 days. I will be trying this & will re-post. I have tried the baking soda methods, which has made the discharge subside but returns within 3 days. Also, on the other thread it says many women are finding some relief from using the lubricant preseed, found at CVS. It is so terrible that so many woman are suffering with this and dr's really are not taking it seriously. It really has an effect on a woman in so many ways. Hope this helps & at least something to try. Btw I'm not a dr or nurse just a woman suffering with this. I am going to see if I can get my dr to give me the compounding cream.

Hi. I can understand you all. I feel relieved a bit. I have had this problem for about 5 years now. I never use contraceptives. Am 30 yrs. I think eating a balanced diet and taking sufficient water could be of help as well as getting enough rest. Oral sex sounds wierd to me. Bra
