I actually put a teaspoon of plain white yogurt up in my vagina.
I have the same exact symptoms. Someone asked if anyone was not on birth control, I am not. So bc must not be the cause.
I have the same exact problem as you to the tee... But .. Ready for this? I never had this problem til I got a hysterectomy in 2010 but started getting these symptoms about 2011.. Ive done everything and still do not know what is wrong..My boyfriend accuses me all the time..Im worried all the time about it..
i am on the nuva ring and have the same problem i dont know what to do.
The one thing i have realized after having this for a year is that i have only changed one thing. My Birth control. I am going to change back to the other brand that i used to take (ocella) and hopefully this will go away. I was off of my Birth control for one week and it cleared up in that short time. I think it is the change in hormones that has affected my body so much. if you have changed the amount of hormones in your body and you have the discharge problem, think about changing again. I hope this helps :)
Could be a ph issue. Try not using tampons, and may e drinking lots of water extra daily. Also, over the counter fish oil is supposed to be helpful in increasing vaginal lubrication (google it its true). And avoid alcohol or other drugs, especially narcotics (prescription or not), and antihisatamines which can all dry you up.
Did it work?
This is frustrating. I have the same symptoms. I don't drink, or smoke...I eat an abundance of vegetables and fish....I've been off of yaz for over 6 months. I've been tested for STD's, bv and yeast. (all negative). Prior to these symptoms, I have never had a vaginal infection in my life. I've become very diligent in trying to find a solution to this. I've even stopped drinking my daily one cup of coffee. I only drink water (sometimes with lemon) and herbal teas such as peppermint and chamomile. I rarely eat sugar and only have a sweet once in a while. I cut out bread as well. (I'm practically being a saint) :) This began 3 years ago when I was 34. I went to two gyno's...neither took the problem seriously once they ruled out infection which is condescending in my opinion. I questioned one of them further to get more possible answers to my situation and he took umbrage! He told me that if I want this problem to stop he can stop my periods all together! (that was mean! so I asked if he could refer me to another gyno who might know what this could be....he didn't like that very much and he said there is nothing he can do! I think I irritated him...but so be it...cuz this is irritating me! sighh) I'm not convinced it's NOT an infection. I've tried various solutions from hydrogen peroxide, pre-seed, baking soda, fem dophilus, femiforte etc. I have been taking oil of oregano and cellfood. I haven't used a tampon in over 6 months and wear cotton as often as I can. I personally think it's some sort of bacteria imbalance. I read a response from one doctor to a girl with the same type of symptoms. She said that she gives her patients a cleocin cream and/or Azithromycin (Zithromax) antibiotic. She said it clears up these symtoms 50% of the time. Well I am willing to try either/or at this point although I'm not a fan of antibiotics. I don't know if my gyno will prescribe this to me since they don't think I have an infection. From all my reading, I think our problem is either cytolytic vaginosis or perhaps mycoplasma (my doc doesn't test for that and he looked at me like I had two heads). It's frustrating because noone is taking it seriously and that noone knows what this is. (I'm also verrry tired of hearing that it's normal discharge..I had 34 years of what I considered MY normal...these last 3 years have been far from my normal and downright uncomfortable) ... If anyone has any further information please post. I am willing to be my own guinea pig with the zithromax. I will post my results if I take it.
douche w/ 30% distilled water and 70% perioxide
I'm 17 and I've been noticing white thick gunk in my vagina. When a guy .... Rubs me... It goes dry and painful. I thought it was a yeast infection but I took medicine for it and it's still there! Does anyone know what it is and how I can get rid of it?
Has anyone found a cure for this yet? it is not caused by sex or birth control pills because i have not been on or done anything in over 6 months
I agree it's not caused by birth control pills. I also heard some say it's from over-use of antibiotics and other yeast infection meds etc. which I have never taken in my life. I also heard that it could be stemming from endometriosis but my doc says I don't have that. So that rules that out. I've never had a vaginal issue up until now. I think it's cytolytic vaginosis. I've been trying to self-diagnose myself since no one is assisting me. I went to two gyno's who tell me everything is normal (which I refuse to believe). I've tried pre-seed (but I don't think I used it long enough) I just ordered more and I'm going to continue with it nightly to raise my pH. (I tried baking soda but it just burns) Somehow the good bacteria has gone outta whack I think. Anyway, that's my suggestion for now. I've always been very health conscious, exercise and eat properly (which pisses me off even more cuz why the heck is my body doing this?). I'm wondering if it's from taking too many probiotics? too much of a good thing? That's the only thing I can think of. I've stopped taking them and no longer even eat yogurt. I cut out wheat, dairy and coffee for the last 6 months and got off of my bc pills. Somehow I messed up my normal flora. This has been going on for almost 3 years now. It's awful. I just don't understand this. It's not fun but hopefully we can all figure this out. Gonna stay the course wit da pre-seed. :) will update!
Try to drink lots of water i have same problems and all ive done is drink lors of water n it clears it out
Hi All. I've been dealing with this for about 8 weeks now. Never having any problems (no STDs, no infections, NOTHING) previously (I'm 33) it has scared the living heck out of me and I've cried countless tears over it. I had been to count them.... 6 different doctors, 2 were ob/gyns, 1 urgent care, 1 ER, 1 dermatologist and my primary all came back with the same thing, its not contagious, it isn't an STD or infection because all the tests are negative but we don't have an answers as to what it is or what I can do to fix it but here's a steroid cream to make you feel better and make you more comfortable oh and here's some diflucan to take just in case. While the cream does make it more comfortable it isn't treating the actual problem, it is only treating a symptom. Anyway... I've finally found a new ob/gyn that is willing to do some extra homework and try some new things. Basically he said that it is probably an unbalance in my ph and the various types of bacteria that live in that environment and we needed to try and balance it back out. So this is the regimen I'm currently on.....
Sitz baths twice a day w/ epsom salts (unfragenced) for 30 min
1 tablet of probiotics daily (whole foods has some great ones by Natren, in the refrigerated vitamin section)
1 boric acid suppository at night before bed (needed a rx for the strength he gave me but you can get lower dosage also at whole foods in a product called gynatren, found with the probiotics)
2 days of a rx antibiotic called tindamax (watch out this made me really dizzy and nauseated)
It's only been 5 days but I have noticed an improvement and I'm excited that this may get me back to 'normal'. More importantly I hope that by sharing this information with you that perhaps it will help someone else that has been dealing with this as well.
