That is normal my dear no need to worry there are so many other women who get that .some men actually prefer it to the clear one
I have the same similar symptoms and I am NOT on any type of BC so the mystery gets bigger
I have the same problem although not as extreme. My gynecologist said it was from lack of dairy (i.e. yogurt etc.) He told me he could prescribe me a mild antibiotic, but the discharge would keep coming back! I ho[e this helps Ladies!
Not to sound vulgar but does it have any smell to it? Usually heavy, white fluid with a "fishy" type smell can mean you have aBV infection, I would go consult your gynecologist. Goodluck! :)
this doesn't sound quite right. people take antibiotics fairly regularly. The bacteria would get killed off whenever some one took meds for any other kind of infection. vaginal bacteria aren't built to live in a penis for months or years. if this was something that was known to happen, it would be vastly more well known. i'm going to say its more likely to be a weird birth control side effect.
has anybody thought that maybe this is just a type of normal discharge? no one's body is the same....maybe this is normal for some girls? it seems like a lot of us have it, and the doctors don't know anything about it. i think its hormone related, maybe sometimes from birth control, or maybe sometimes due to age or autoimmune disorders.
Yes taht would be me. I'm not taking anything and I did have a hysterectomy 3 years ago. I get this thick, white, pasty stuff way up in my vagina. It's so thick that I can scoop it with my fingers. ewww!
I fell gross. Most of the time it come when my husband ejaculate inside of me.

I Think You Guys Should try acidophilus. It's A Natural Pill That You Can Most Likely Find At Whole Foods Or If You Have Any Other Natural Food Stores Around Your Area. Also Diet Makes A HUGE Difference. The Sugars You Eat , You Should Try Replacing Them With Fruits And Veggies . but if you want to Get A Good Start When You First Take The Pills You Could Go On A Fruit Diet For A Week. however You Have To Take The Pills Consistently Until They Are Gone.
I believe what you have is Bacterial Vaginosis! Bring it up to your doctor.. If they don't see anything wrong, get a pap smear just in case. Maybe a blood test to see if you have a higher concentration of white blood cells than normal. Also, maybe try a different doctor.
Hi, I've read through all of this and for the most part everyone seems to be experiencing the same thing as myself. I've had thick white discharge which does not ever seem to leak out. It sticks to the walls of my vagina. I find it thickens when it is really hot out or if I've been sweating a lot that day, which I can sort of feel and have to "scoop" it out at the end of the day. It drives me nuts!
It also has made sex more annoying then pleasurable, as it dries me out and becomes coated on my boyfriend's penis.
Everyone else seems to have mentioned that it has a bitter taste or smell. I'm not sure if by bitter they mean the same thing as I do. The best way I can describe it is the starchy smell of potatoes.
I am glad to know that I'm not the only one with this problem. I've dealt with this on and off for a few years now. At first, like many of you I thought it was a yeast infection but none of those treatments seemed to help. I was on birth control for some time. I have been off the pill for almost a year now and it has made no difference. I thought perhaps it had to do with an allergic reaction to latex condoms, but that doesn't seem to be it either. I also thought maybe it was my boyfriend's semen I was allergic to, but whether he comes in me or not, it's still there.
I do not use any sort of soap inside the vagina, I do not douche, and I am vegetarian and have been making sure I eat plenty of vegetables and fruit, and have cut back on breads and pastas and sugary foods.
I've tried a couple of home remedies, which seemed to lessen the discharge, or make it less thick, anyways. One that seems to work for temporary relief is soaking a tampon in extra virgin olive oil (you can also use coconut oil) and clove bud essential oil, leave it in overnight, and the next day, you'll feel much better. However, it seems to always come back a day or two later. I have also tried the peroxide method, but that only dries me up even more and causes the discharge to dry up, making it almost harder to get out.
My next step is to start taking some pro-biotics and see if that makes any sort of a difference.
I want to enjoy sex again and not have to think about what's happening inside of my vagina all day. :(
Did the original poster ever find a solution, I wonder?
Thanks to all the ladies that have posted here. I have had the same thing for almost a year now. It is just like the post Ugh explained smells like starchy potatoes, white on partners penis during sex, & sticks to the walls. I have switched my Gyn to try & deal with this. I think I made it worse by trying all these different things because my Dr had no answer 4 me other than its normal but I'm 33 & I know what is & is not normal for my vagina. This is not normal for me. I ended up getting a terrible yeast infection that wouldn't go away until my new dr gave an aggresive treatment. I have been testing for everything, all STD's including HIV testing 2 times, & checked 4 diabetes. All neg. I have noticed that just after ovulation it seems 2 get worse espically if I've had starches or alcohol. I've been trying boric acid at the direction of my dr & it seems to be helping. I've been using them 4 two weeks now. Other than that nothing has worked & I even had a D & C from my 1st gyn. Anything I've tried, if it helped was only temp relief. I've had mirena iud (had it taken out) & been on yaz & shortly after that started getting the white. I thought it was my partner but he was treated 4 yeast as a precaution & I got the white back without even having sex. I think it has something to do with hormone levels & am at a loss. I will keep trying ladies. If the boric acid really helps I will let you know.
I recently noticed this problem, hence why I am looking at this blog... I do not take birth control, nor have I ever. I just thought you might like to know, since you asked ;)
I am not on birth control
Various kinds of Discharge White: Thick, white discharge is typical at the start and finish of the cycle. Normal white discharge isn’t supported by itchiness. If itchiness exists, thick white discharge could mean candidiasis. Obvious and elastic: This really is “fertile” mucous and means you’re ovulation. Obvious and watery: This happens at different occasions of the cycle and is particularly heavy after working out. Yellow or Green : May suggest contamination, particularly if thick or clumpy like cottage type cheese or includes a bad smell. Brown: Can happen immediately after periods, and it is just “cleaning up” your vagina. Old bloodstream looks brown. Recognizing Bloodstream/Brown Discharge: This might occur when you’re ovulation/mid-cycle.
