Vibrations in chest

I have the exact same thing it started 2 days ago like a cell phone on vibrate. It was on the left side behind my left breast on and off on Sunday. On Monday it went to the right side almost under the right breast. It is getting more persistant. I had my pace maker checked and it showed nothing. I had a chest exray done am still waiting for that report. But it is baffling I also have no pain but it is a little scary because I did have a heart attack and the back of my heart is dead. It does not keep me awake as it is so soft that I had to stop and think what was that did I really feel that or did I imagine it? Keep the posts coming in because my Doctors are baffled.

Late stage or chronic lyme disease .
I just went to urgent care for the same problem. This cell phone vibration in my chest feeling. They did an EKG & Every thing is fine. According to the doctor it is most likely a muscle spasm
I have the same feeling in my left breast. I had extensive testing last year as my Mother is twice a breast cancer survivor. They could not find anything. The feeling went away and now almost a year later it is back. Am I worried yes, although I don't feel crazy anymore after reading what others are saying. I don't feel so alone with this and don't feel as if I am the only one feeling this. Thank You for the post.
I have this as well, and nobody on the internet has the answer. Ekg, bloodwork, chest x-ray all negative. 2 strong possibilities: heavy stress/anxiety, gerd (acid reflux). One less likely possibility is muscle spasms in deep tissue beneath the surface but I find this unlikely. I have the first two. Anyone else?
Thanks for the posts. Mine has been going on for about three days. Your posts helped me figure it out (along with some other research) - muscle spasms. I've been on crutches three weeks and had severe post-op myalgia from receiving paralytics for surgery. Now it all makes sense!
I have started noticing this thing in the last few weeks, 48 yo female, on left side. Lost right breast due to cancer so was a little freaked out upon noticing this. But I read a few people said it goes away upon having a few beers. I think they caused relaxation, i think its an subconscious anxiety symptom. I feel it in bed as soon as I start thinking about stuff and not sleeping.
I think its a subconscious anxiety effect. The world is becoming a more stressful place to live. I have it whenever Im thinking about something stressful, or even lying in bed and thinking instead of relaxing. As soon as i stop thinking it stops..
Hi Cherie, I started having it a few weeks ago, but Ive been experiencing ALOT of stress. It starts up as soon as I start thinking about stuff, even lying in bed and thinking about stuff instead of sleeping. As soon as i stop thinking it stops. I think it is a low level subconscious anxiety muscle related symptom from this stressful world...Im amazed I found these posts! I thought i was alone too.
Yes I have been reading all of these posts and can only add the experiences I have had with this. It only started a few weeks ago. 48 yo female, pretty healthy, but LOTS of stress in the last few months. I mostly feel it lying in bed, thinking about the stuff that has caused me stress, as soon as I stop thinking it goes away..I think its a low level anxiety related symptom.
Hi, I wrote about this on here sometime ago, after experiencing the same vibrating sensations and would often go for my phone, thinking it was that, on silent ...... as the feelings are just the same and in the same place as I keep my phone..... in the top outside pocket or the inside pocket of the coats that I wear. This is just a update really ........ after thinking my phone may be the reason ........... because I also noticed that even when I was just sat relaxing (I'm right handed by the way) I would be subconsciously be holding the phone to the same area that I get the vibrating feelings, that is my left chest just near the armpit - the peck area However after a few months of not keeping my phone anywhere near the area in question the sensations still occur for a day or two and completley go away for a couple of weeks or so. Doctor hasn't a clue (other than stress and anxiety)
Hi Cherie I know what you mean about feeling crazy ..... wondering if your just imagining it or not .... lol I wrote about this on here sometime ago, after experiencing the same vibrating sensations and would often go for my phone, thinking it was that, on silent ...... as the feelings are just the same and in the same place as I keep my phone..... in the top outside pocket or the inside pocket of the coats that I wear. Doctor hasn't a clue (other than stress and anxiety related) One of my weirder friends reckons that it's Plant X pulling on the iron in our bodies .... lol
I too have been getting these vibrating sensations under left breast.. Doesn't hurt at all just weird!!!! I've had so many cardiac work ups and stay up to date on mammograms so it must be anxiety.. So baffled here!!!! Any other suggestions anyone?!
Maybe pre-panic attack related ?!! I don't understand it either.. I think it has something to do with anxiety .. I've had so many work ups and all are normal.. It's crazy!
I am 62 year old female and am experiencing exactly what you've described. Echo / ultrasound exam of my heart showed that I have a thickening of my left mitral valve called 'mitral sclerosis'. On another site like this one ..... someone experiencing these same symptoms posted a comment about having a mitral valve prolapse ..... which can be caused by mitral sclerosis. At the time of my initial diagnosis of mitral valve sclerosis a couple of years ago ..... I was asymptomatic. But NOW I've lately experienced the weird sensation of a small vibration in my chest area which comes and goes. I then took extra nutritional supplements which is supposed to benefit one's cardio function -- such as one daily tab of Centrum for women 50+, an extra dose or two of Qunol CoQ10 and resveratrol and 5000 IU of vitamin D3 and at least a couple of Bayer low-dose aspirin as well as a few small softgel capsules of Omega XL and flaxseed oil and salmon oil [EFAs] .... and the vibrating has finally stopped. My blood pressure is very low, however .... just now it measured at 105/59 with heart rate of 70 bpm. Oxygenation of blood is normal at 97% ..... per my finger oximeter device. Anyone who is feeling anxious about these things would benefit from going to your pharmacy and purchasing a good wrist blood pressure monitor and a finger oximeter. Use them to monitor your readings a few times throughout each and every day. I have severe sleep apnea and have been using CPAP therapy while I sleep starting about 4 years ago. Have been on a couple of blood pressure meds for about 12 years now. Because I am now over 60 and know that I have mitral valve sclerosis ..... I am finally making the effort of establishing myself as a patient with a good cardiologist at the DeBakey Heart Health Center in Houston. I do believe that I am probably in the early stage of PAD and possibly earliest stage of congestive heart failure. I used to have problems with my right ankle swelling a bit .... but have alleviated that lately by sleeping in a recliner with my legs elevated using a couple of pillows. I have already done so much researching of all this on the internet using Google and YouTube ..... that being well-informed about it also helps lower one's overall stress over it. You can only do that which you can do in these situations. At least when you've done the research ..... you then have enough information on hand to be able to ask your doctor the right questions .... or to better understand what he/she tells you during office visits. Good luck, everyone.
