Vibrations in chest

I have the exact same thing it started 2 days ago like a cell phone on vibrate. It was on the left side behind my left breast on and off on Sunday. On Monday it went to the right side almost under the right breast. It is getting more persistant. I had my pace maker checked and it showed nothing. I had a chest exray done am still waiting for that report. But it is baffling I also have no pain but it is a little scary because I did have a heart attack and the back of my heart is dead. It does not keep me awake as it is so soft that I had to stop and think what was that did I really feel that or did I imagine it? Keep the posts coming in because my Doctors are baffled.

I'm having the same thing and it is freaking me out. Did anyone figure it out?
I have a similar problem but it is more like a real strong jerk that scares the heck out of me. Sometimes I get the vibration but if I'm exercising when the vibration happens it is a muscle jerk that is so scary. I get lightheaded, dizzy, my face gets numb, and I feel like I have to have a BM, my pressure goes up, my heart rate increases and my legs start shaking.

I started getting a subtle dull vibration in upper middle chest when lying on either side. Usually when a little fatigued at night. If the doctors don't know what it is, it probably isn't a disease, since that is what they know most about. Isn't it ever so marvelous when the doctor tells you there is nothing wrong (I'm being sarcastic).

Today is the 25th of October. It is so startling to read everyone's response - exactly as I feel.
1, a few days ago.
2 like a phone on vibrate
3, a few seconds
4, no pain, nothing
No, Im not a heart patient, my blood pressure is normal, but I am diabetic. My friiend and I think the only problem I do have is having the phone too long each day to my ears. Wondering if that could cause any side effects? ha ha - but could be true too. Never know!
Im 58 years young. The vibration goes on every 2 minutes - Ive timed it since this evening. But just as the first writer wrote, it started two days ago - Friday evening to be exact, I reached out to the top pocket of my jacket thinking my cell phone was on vibrate.
It did not occur that often last two days - but today - since this evening and even till now, as I write and move, evern two minutes the vibration starts - exactly as said, for a few seconds - 5 to 10. Please will someone let us know when they get an answer - I hope we will be posted of this. Funny that so many people have written about this happening recently. My friend said, that perhaps we can feel the earth tremor in warning of an Earthquake to be - not funny and hope never- but Help us God.
Mine feels more like flem. Although I did check my phone to see if it had rang. When I figured out it wasn't the phone I thought maybe I needed to cough but there was nothing in my chest.
I've been having the same feelings, but they have been in different areas of my chest and abdomen. I would have to say it's got to be either blood flow or muscular, but do not know which. I lean toward muscular, although about a year and a half ago, I went to the doctor and he found I had a slightly high blood pressure, which he thought these sensations might be related to. However, my blood pressure was only slightly high and he did not prescribe meds for it. I had a heart stress test, where they hook up stuff down my legs and arms and it was normal. At this time, the sensation was on the right side of my chest. This past year, it has been on the left side of my abdomen, which kept making me think it was my cell phone on vibrate. The past few weeks, it has been on my left pectoral area of the chest, where I do not keep a phone.
While I'm not a doctor, I'm disappointed to find all these posts but no answers, and will just relate my experience. I will say that I'm 37, have had these sensations for a year and a half now, and they have moved locations. I did notice that when I tightened up my pectoral muscle, they seemed to stop, which could indicate a muscular issue. I would think that blood flow through your body wouldn't be strong enough to give feelings like this, so I am guessing it is muscular. Judging by all the different ages and experiences, and with lots of healthy people getting this feeling all over the net, my money is on musclar. Of course, I hope it is, as that would be much less benign than anything cardio.
I was also bit by a tick, but I can't recall if I got these experiences after that or if they started before. The tick was on me for less than 24 hours and not engorged, so I was believed to have been at low risk for Lyme. I had no symptoms around the bite site and went on a pill for a day. I believe I had a Lyme test soon after and it was negative, although they said it was so soon after the bite, I may have to get retested later, which I have not.
I'd say if none of the other posters or people who experience this have been bitten by a tick, or live in a city where they are never exposed to ticks, that would rule that out. Again, I am thinking it's muscular vibrations, but I'm no expert. Any experts or professionals who can shed more light, please post answers here!
Ive had the buzzing sensation for about 2 months now. A couple of things i have discovered are.
1. I have stoppped coffee-caffine for over a month and it hasnt made any difference.
2. If i have a few beers it seems to go away
3. I if give the area a firm fast rub the senstaion usually starts a few seconds later
4. I have used a holter monitor for 24 hours, and i must have had at least 20 episodes of which nothing showed on the monitor as far as missing beats or weird heart beats and pulse rates.
5. I have had days where i do not get them, then after longs days and nights when i havent had much sleep they seem to return.
I really think the above points to something musscle and nerve related, and not heart.. Anyway im still looking for answers after 2 months , but it is geting maybe slightly better but not any worse.
I literally experienced this just a few minutes ago, however in my case it was accompanied with sleep paralyzation.
I woke up to what I thought was my cell phone on my bed (it was actually nowhere near me) but when I tried to find it I couldn't move, eventually I shook myself out of the paralyzation but fell back asleep soon afterwards. This repeated about 2 more times and I finally got up, searched online, and here I am typing about it.
I just started getting this same vibration in my chest in the last week, exactly as people describe here, like a cell phone on vibrate but less intense. At first I thought it was related to breathing, I had couple of bad colds over the winter and I thought it was wheezing from phlegm, but coughing doesn't change it, and even if I hold my breath it's still there. In my case it fades in for a few seconds, fades out for a few seconds, then fades in again and so on. Each episode only lasts a few minutes at most. It is located just left of my sternum. It's not painful and I can't feel anything externally. Weird. It's interesting that I found something on the web with so many other people describing the same thing. I'm 39 and reasonably healthy. I did a lot of lifting lately while moving house and built up my chest muscles doing it, so I'm wondering if it's muscular. The only other thing that I thought it might be was pleurisy, which sometimes gives a grating sound during breathing, but I don't think it's that because it's there even when I don't breathe.
Has anyone recieved a definitive answer from a Dr? I actually checked myself with a metal detector thinking it was metal that had been magnitized by my phone (that I store in my bra). Its strange that so many people have this same symptom and I have never heard anything about it and there is no answer. please let me know if anyone has seen a dr that knows what this is caused by.
I'm a 63 year old male. I just started getting this feeling like my Droid is receiving a message when it's in my left shirt pocket. Same as the others. I did pass a Gall stone a week ago but I also have been doing a lot of gardening. My guess is that it's the gardening. Good to see others are having this without other symtoms. Also good to know many are younger than me, I thought it was old age.
Ok, so like all of you I have a slight vibration in my left chest muscle. I notice some people talk about starting at the gym, stressed, long nights, etc. I am a very healthy 24 year old male, 5' 8", 180Ibs about 4 percent bodyfat. I do bodybuilding competitions and mine started coming on preparing for a comp. What I do know that changed is I push my body very hard while on a calorie defeceit, so extreme muscle fatique and I am on two fat burners, very high in stimulants. I havn't got any answers from doctors either, but I think it may be muscle exhaustion or over stimulation. I know preparing for these I push my body to the extreme in order to cut fat (lifting nearly every day and doing cardio twice a day, while on restricted calories). I was on the thought that it is either over worked (be it stress, lifting, long days) or possible stimulant related. My show is over after May 15 and I will be off my fat burners and taking it easier. I don't take any stimulants in the off season. I'll let you know if anything changed.
Also I don't drink, but a couple of people said that drinking subsided it, so that relaxes the muscles. Hmmm....I think we are all just overworked. I guess I'll have a better idea if it subsides after my competition.
I too have had the cellphone vibration issue on the left side. Had a full cardio check....echocardiogram, ECG, Loop monitor, holter monitor......it is not heart related at all. I do have PVC's (preventricular contractions) but these were not coincident with the cellphone like vibration incidents I recorded on the "loop" monitor.
Had full upper GI and abdomen ultrasound. Results said I had some reflux during the water siphon test. So, it seems the vibration is related to that. I seem to only get these vibrations early morning as some other posters have indicated and that is why the doctor says I have no "acid" symptoms. Some type of genetic issue on poor "flap" functioning that seems to become irritated from time to time. I find that a few deep breaths stops it or by doing the "valsalva" manuever (pinching your nose and pushing breath while holding mouth closed).
Have been prescribed an "acid blocker" to prevent any issues going forward.
Like many of you, I definitely thought it was cardio related and was mystified by the cellphone like buzzing. So, maybe its this esophagus reflux thing.....we'll see! Hope this helped some fellow cellphone buzzing sufferers.
Good Luck all.
I had this exact same "buzzy chest" thing, and heart palpitations. It would happen in the strangest places - particularly sitting in front of the computer, at work, in my car, in certain stores, and clothing-store dressing rooms! Cardiologist put me thru a zillion tests (holter monitor, echocardiogram, echo treadmill with ultrasound, etc). My heart actually did some weird things while being tested and set off some alarms. The doc finally settled on "benign PVC's". He said my heart is perfectly fine and healthy, it just has something different going on with it's electrical signal. I was put on a Beta blocker, and the palpitations lessened. The "buzzy chest" feeling seemed a little less, but still there.
Then over a course of 5 years trying to figure out what was making my son ill, we stumbled on "electromagnetic hypersensitivity" (for entire long story, see my other post under "Feeling like I'm dying, tired, headaches...")
When we removed Wifi and cordless phones from our house, my buzzy chest stopped completely, among other symptoms within our family. I am now down to 1/4 of the Beta Blocker meds I needed before - the cardiologist was MOST intrigued with my story and agreed I could gradually lessen the dosage. We can't get away from electrosmog altogether - but adjusting your home is the majority of the battle. Sometimes I still get it when I'm in a WiFi Hotspot or under a cellular transmission tower. I am not making this up!!! I know it sounds kooky and I didn't beleive it at first either, but I've met many others with the same experiences now, and I'm 100% convinced.
In hindsight, the most severe buzzing time was when I was sitting in front of my computer, within a meter of our wireless router. It feels like a cellphone vibrating in your chest because our bodies nervous system is being bombarded with signals, and it reacts.

... and for Goodness sake, don't store your cellphones in your bras!!!!! Or even keep them in your pockets!
