Vibrations in chest

I have the exact same thing it started 2 days ago like a cell phone on vibrate. It was on the left side behind my left breast on and off on Sunday. On Monday it went to the right side almost under the right breast. It is getting more persistant. I had my pace maker checked and it showed nothing. I had a chest exray done am still waiting for that report. But it is baffling I also have no pain but it is a little scary because I did have a heart attack and the back of my heart is dead. It does not keep me awake as it is so soft that I had to stop and think what was that did I really feel that or did I imagine it? Keep the posts coming in because my Doctors are baffled.

I have gotten the phantom phone vibration too. I had them long ago on my hip, where my phone was. Now today I have the vibrations on my left chest area, 5 times so far today. it is a lighter vibration as others have posted. every time its happened my phone has not been on my person. I'm 42 and in pretty good shape. I did have a heart problem over a year ago and made a lifestyle change and am much healthier as a result. I don't feel pressure in my heart like I have had in the past, so it seems like I can rule out any heart relation at this time. Muscle spasm is possible but this seems to be different than a muscle spasm. My muscle spasms are either pretty strong or very weak to where i can see the muscle flutter but no sensation is felt. Not this cell phone vibration. 6 times now today. If anyone finds out more please post. wow, 7x now. Almost seems like since i have started writing about it it has increased. Good luck to "us" hopefully its nothing too serious.

So,whats the answers people?
Just started having this symptom today. Was like many here, shocked to see so many people suffering the same thing. I thought several times today that I was sitting on my cell phone or I had it on me and it was vibrating. Same thing, only last a few seconds but mine comes every few minutes. No pain just very slight vibration. I have no known heart problems, no asthma, I dont go to the gym and havent done anything that would have strained a muscle or anything. No real concerns in life, so I dont believe it to be anxiety.
If any of the fellow sufferers have gotten any answers id love to see some replies on what this could be.
I dont drink or smoke either
Same symptoms here; under left breast (male); phsyio says stretches are usually the answer as it's a 'deep muscle' twitch. Just from being a couch potato, in my case. Seems to be working with basic 'reach forward, reach backward' stretches... hope that helps!
My vibrations just started last week. I told my best friend and my sister about them, and then last night I researched it on the net. I was so surprised to see all the forums about it! It is very annoying and the only way to describe it is the "vibrating cell phone"!!
I am 44 and on business in Chicago, noted the same symptom lying in my hotel room. At I noticed it on and off while on my flight but over the last 2 days it has grown more steady. It ocurs almost rythmically, every few seconds on the left side of my chest. It does not seem to coincide with my breathing or my pulse. It is very slight, though annoying. I am fairly confident that it is muscle related - an ongoing spasm type of thing.
I have been having a vibration in my left chest for about 10 days now. It really scared me after a few days because it would not go away. I thought I was having a heart attack or something. It feels like when your chest gets tired from doing pushups and you try to do one more and you start shaking, only much fainter....but it is close to my heart. I went to the doc's and he said he didn't think I was having a heart attack.....we did an EKG and it was normal. I guess I need to go get a blood test next. I know I have high cholesterol.....and I tend to drink a little too much.

The vibration and cell phone sensations are real!!! WOW, kind of cool there is an explication out there. All of you (and me) have POSSIBLE strained an inter-costal muscle and or a few ribs are out of place.... thank goodness right?!?!?! GO see your local Chiropractor and give him/her your exact symptoms and they will SHOW you what has happened. Cool right? Its like a twitch... you know the kind you get at the corner of your eye or forehead or shoulder.... but its internal so much so that we can feel the flutter the cell phone vibration.... wow makes so much sense when you get the correct Doctor to diagnosis the problem. Happy heart everyone! Jax
I am 43 and reasonably fit but I have had these symptoms or at least have noticed them for about a year. I'm almost used to the vibrations now but at first it would trigger panic or even full blown panic attack as I thought something was wrong with my heart. i too have been to cardiologist and they have found nothing. Most of the time it is a one off or maybe 2 or 3 and then nothing for days. Sometimes I get a lot in the same week and tonight, several in a row. It does feel like the sensation you get from over worked muscles so I can see people's conclusions but as it happens when doing desk work, i am pretty sure it's not that. i have considered the nerve issues which it could be but as I suffer from acid reflux, I have a strong suspicion that it is do to the chest and esophagus being irritated by the reflux and responding in a vibrating way.It is truly amazing how many people can suffer with same thing and yet find that most doctors can't pinpoint it at all for them. I have found a lot of psychological relief from forums over the years so let's keep writing. What we say may just be the thing that reassures someone who thinks they are dying and about to go to the hospital. Thanks everyoneDave
Dave... so your a desk-jocky... fine okay, you can still have rib and or intercostal muscle issues. A lack of exercise can also be the cause, a sudden jerk, car fender bender, slip in the tub, floor or just twisting or reaching for something sudden. Especially if you don't stretch, you are more prone to problems if you are sedentary. Go see a chiropractor, and tell him/her of our conversation and ALL symptoms. Think outside the box!Take CareJacqueline
I have a similar sensation I am a 26 year old male. I have had my gall bladder removed two years ago. I have been taking Prozac 20mg for 4 months, irregularly, I keep forgetting to take my doses so I'd say I take a dose two out of three times I am supposed to. The males in my family on both sides are very prone to heart attacks all but two of my male family members in the past two generations(father, 2/2 grandfathers, 4/6 uncles and my brother 27) have had a documented heart attack. My sensation seems to happen more often when I am laying down and the vibrations start right after I finish exhaling and then cease half a second afterwards and then repeat this process over and over. It is very bothersome when I try to go to sleep; It's starting to prevent me from sleeping. Especially given the concern of my families heart related issues.
I, toohave experienced the same 'cell phone' vibration for a couple months now. I told me Therapist that after numerous doctors were baffled I realized that it is a call from my home planet telling me their going to pick me up but that its been so long here on Earth that I've forgotten how to answer my communicator. Her jaw dropped until I said..:I'm Just kidding! LOL it is weird though and I too am slighty concerned with it. Good luck to you all
Terry I know what it is.... read my post 3-10-11 I am telling you, everything will be fine!
