Vibrations in chest

I have the exact same thing it started 2 days ago like a cell phone on vibrate. It was on the left side behind my left breast on and off on Sunday. On Monday it went to the right side almost under the right breast. It is getting more persistant. I had my pace maker checked and it showed nothing. I had a chest exray done am still waiting for that report. But it is baffling I also have no pain but it is a little scary because I did have a heart attack and the back of my heart is dead. It does not keep me awake as it is so soft that I had to stop and think what was that did I really feel that or did I imagine it? Keep the posts coming in because my Doctors are baffled.

Ohk I was checking out perhaps, heart vibrations, cause this started on Wednesday, and then went away, and I woke up with it. I feel fine, am concerned, because thats exactly how I described it, a cell phone vibration going off, and I checked for a cell also, there is no pain, I am not dizzy or shortness of breathe, but am concerned.

It had me concerned too. I had this for almost a year every day. It started suddenly, then one day just stopped suddenly. For me it was just the discomfort and then worrying it could be something, but then it just stopped.

I have a low intensity, short duration (about 1 second per incident) vibration in my left chest that is on a 23-25 times a minute cycle. Don't feel it is heart, or artery, related as my HR is normally 80 BPM so not in sync. It feels to be located just above the nipple. It started as an occasional single vibration, but now it vibrates most of the day and night. Today when I woke it was not present, but a few hours later it started. I had a prior torn left cest ligament that was painful and located at the breast bone. I also tore my rotator cuff 18 months ago and at times it is still sore. I believe this vibration is a nerve spasm as streching and massaging does not stop it. There is no pain, just a cell phone like vibration.
I'm 57 male. My blood pressure is normal at around 110/65/. I am on no medication. Had an EKG last year that was normal.
I'm going to give it some time to see if it works itself out like it did when it started.
I have been feeling the same way. Is this feeling still present with you? Have you had any ideas as what it is?
I am 69 and in good health, but with an atrial fibrillation; the last two days I have flt a vibration - or shiver - of my heart on the left side of my chest underneath me left arm. It has been going on for about 36 hours and occurs every hour of so, sometimes, more often. Any idea what is causing this ? I has never happened before.
Just wanted to add my voice to all of those who are experiencing this. Yes, a cell phone on vibrate, except more subtle is EXACTLY what it feels like. If it's musculature, that would be pretty weird, to geta muscle group to vibrate that fast would most certainly cause real pain, and I don't experience any pain, nor fatigue. Like the rest of you, my heart rate is fine, my breathing is fine. I'm 55 years old. Moderately overweight despite the fact that I bicycle everywhere, and live in a hilly area. I chop wood, I carry water, I tend to the chickens, and all that stuff. I'm active and don't even sit around very much, am on my feet most of the time. ALTHOUGH, I've been sitting a lot in the last few weeks, which is when this began for me. I do eat the wrong stuff about half the time, but eat the best stuff the rest of the time, IE, garden grown, grass fed, blah blah. I do occasionally eat store bought food, but pound for pound, I eat some of the best food available. A few years back, I was suffering from major panic attacks, and my heart was freaking out, SVT/PAT. I finally landed in the ER one day with a massive panic attack that had me convinced I was dropping dead immediately. That episode revealed the SVT, and a couple of weeks later, and one cardiac ablation, and the SVT was fixed. I continued to be overly sensitive to heart rhythms for a couple of years, and eventually quit my job as a system administrator (massive stress level) and moved to the country, and started working on an old house. I don't make much money, but my life is much more manageable. All things were most certainly on the improving side, despite my continued high cholesterol, and then this just started happening about a week ago. No pain, no particular anxiety, just this strange feeling in my lower-left chest that lasts a few seconds, and repeats whenever the heck it wants too. I notice it mostly when I'm trying to go to sleep. Oh, and I sleep well, and that's the result of practicing good sleep discipline. It was difficult to learn how to go to sleep, but worth it. The only medication I take is aspirin (when I remember, for my heart) and ibuprofen when needed.
I've had vibrations in my chest too. Went to the doc a few years ago and they heard nothing and an ekg said that my heart was super healthy. The docs eyes were big as saucers when she read the ekg report. My chest has vibrations that really show up when I pond on the front of my chest and the breathe slowly in and out. I can really feel it then. Im not sure but it sounds like its a muscle spasm like others have said. I'd like to know for sure what causes that though.
I remember the first time I had the flutters, I truly thought "well this is it", my family called 911, was in an ambulance and the EMT was like "WOW your heart is ALL over the place"Got to the hospital - TOTALLY STOPPED - thank GOD they had a printout! The doctor told me that it is TOTALLY normal to have these at "my age" this was when I was 38 - just going into premenopause. It's hormones, lack of rest, sleep, bad diet etc. etc. So 1st get your heart checked out, then start taking Calcium with Potassium and Magnesium, Co Enzyme 10, Omega oils, etc etc. Cut out ALL caffeine! it's virtually over night - the transformation! There has also been a correlation between women's pre menopause and a mans - it all seems to happen around the same age! So just take care of your heart to the best of your ability, breath through the tremebles and start eating healthy! Good luck and health!
Hey Bambi27Thanks much for your story. Glad you're doing well. These 'vibrations' are *not* 'the flutters' or an arrhythmia or anything of that kind. this feels exactly like folks describe, like a cellphone on vibrate in your chest pocket. Except more subtle. It happens with heart rhythm isjust fine, normal, and doesn't show up on an ekg. I'm *very* familiar with arrhythmia, and this ain't it.
count me in too...(started noticing a fluttering that lasts a second in my left chest above the nipple, left quadrant). There is no pain and I can't feel it with my hand on the outside of the breast. I first noticed this about a week ago but woke up this morning with regular fluttering (great description is that of a distant, soft cell phone vibration) every 3 seconds. Very wierd. I've noticed it all day. Based on how many people have the exact same thing, I am not going to the doctor. This year has been utter hell for me in terms of stress so if this is stress related, it sure picked the right person. It just seems that given how common this appears, that doctors would have come up with an explanation by now.
I understand what you saying, I too get that "fluttering"! As you all know our heart is like a generator - electric generator. The first time I heard about all of this, was about 10 years ago on Oprah! She had not only the arythmia but also the flutters, they ran EVERY test on her known to mankind and nothing! So a new expert - on menopause - was on her show saying it was on of the symptoms of womens menopause and also happened to men around that age! If you have ever had Tenze, I equate the sensation to a VERY light Tenze. IF you have had your heart checked out - with a 3 day monitor - and your doctor doesn't know anything about the "faint buzzing" then I will say again it is probably ALL of the same things that set are arythmia off! Also watch out for numbing agent at the dentists - sends most into full on arythmia!
I have had the "cell phone" vibrations in my chest for about a week, and I too just recently started going to the gym. The last couple of weeks we've done some intense upper body work outs. I'm 39 and had a stress test about a year ago due to feeling heart palpatations and pain, everything came back excellent. I was told to reduce stress (which helped greatly). I guess what I'm saying in we all get scarred with anything going on in our chest because of the vital organs that exist there, but surrounding those organs are a boot load of muscles. Before seeking a doctors advice on these kinds of problems really keep track when you are having the symptoms and do some reading on stress and excercise. one trip to the doctor can turn out to be several and more to specialists and very costly very quickly even for those with insurance as co-pays and deductables add up quickly. I wish I wouldn't have stressed so much about my "heart" pain and palpatations cause I probably made it ten times worse worrying about it.
At least I know that I am not crazy! I have had heart vibrations, fluttering, and whole body vibrations. I am on a heart drug for extra and rapid heart beats. But this fluttering feels different. Maybe one of us will find the cause. I read that it could be caused by stress, too much caffiene, smoking or too many carbs. The last 'reason' could fit me, as I do eat cereal while watching TV sometimes. Tonight I will not eat carbs and see if that helps. Good luck to all of you.
I am a healthy 52 yr. old woman and was afraid to tell the husband about this cause I thought he would think I was weird. He said he gets the same thing. He works out at the gym every weekend so not sure what mine is all about. Like a cell vibrating in your pocket but there is no pocket, it's just underneath the skin near the nipple both sides (it takes turns). Happening on the left as I type this. Happens a few times a day for the last two weeks. Can't imagine if it is muscular or heart related. Just freaky!
