Denmark here. I want to join the chorus here. I have had the same symptoms, coming and going for over a month now, all the symptoms doesn't last long and are not super bad. Gut pains, slightly loose stools, a bit of back pains, slightly sore throat, runny nose at times, headache and a low fever (under 38C) that only lasts for some hours. Super tired, I sleep more than ever. My doc says para flu. All test returned and was all fine. SO happy i found this. I too thought I was the only one with this.

My 15 year old. daughter had been sick for over a month. What were your symptoms?

My doctors keep saying this virus I have will last 6 weeks. I've even been to the ER with what I'm certain is pneumonia. They won't do anything about it.

Started with sore throat to a cold and then to my chest. I've had cough of yellow sputum, fever, wheezing and a stuffy head for 23 days. 2 antibiotics and a short course of steroids and they keep saying it's a virus!

I wonder if I may have the same thing. I've been having very similar symptoms but when it started, I first had diarrhea and a sore treat. Kind of like a cold, but with digestive issues too. Then it quickly turned into flu like symptoms, such as fever, stomach cramps, sore joints, headaches, as well as other cold symptoms like a very sore throat, stuffy/runny nose, coughing, sneezing, and even other on and off symptoms like feeling like my lungs were burning up, and swelling in the throat and even my voice goung out. But most of the time, when one set of symptoms appear, the other symptoms I had before go away and it just keeps going back and forth. I've been sick for just a little over a week now, I'm a male, 19 years old, and live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I'm trying my best to beat down whatever it is, with all variations of vitamin c and vitamin d products, Alka-Seltzer tablets, lots of water and etc. But it never goes away! I keep missing days of work, because I still have a persistent cough, and since I work in a fast fast place, I can't work, since I'd end up coughing on food and drinks. I'm already struggling with the job I have now, I definitely can't afford to lose my job! I don't know if I have the same thing as any one else here, but I wish I at least knew what it is that I've been infected with! I don't usually get sick, and I've never been sick for this long, so I'm really getting worried!

I made a few spelling errors, and also the part that says "fast fast" is supposed to say 'fast food'.

Hi I am from the UK and had flu like symptoms (fever, chesty coughs, body aching, sore throat, constant blocked nose!) for 2 months now my wife and 14 month old daughter has also had the same but have been vomiting with it. I was hoping it was maybe a virus my daughter had picked up but looking at the replies on this seems quite common

My wife and I both have this. Mine started 3-4 weeks ago when I felt some old injuries become extremely sore, including my neck shoulder and chest and it caused like 3 anxiety attacks where I almost went to the ER (stomach flu type symptoms always elevate my heart rate and coupled with where I feel pain from the injuries it set off anxiety attacks, not really new for me but certainly didn't help the fatigue any after coming down from that). I had a vague sore throats, weird vertigo and some sinus problems followed by a stomach flu. One night I got wicked chills and curled up in bed and then the following day it morphed into the stomach thing. It seemed to effect my leg muscles which I had happen once before during a major stomach flu. I've only felt like eating soup. Sometimes I seem ridiculously hungry for no reason, I feel like sleeping more than usual. I've had a few days where I felt awfully dehydrated. Though I'm tired and achy I've had a few better days this past week, still having to go to bathroom quite a bit but the stomach cramping went away for a day or two before returning yesterday but it wasn't as bad.

My wife had pretty much a dead ringer for it although hers started like a cold. It got slightly worse, now she has a cough, stiff muscles, sore neck, back, low grade fever, fatigue and stomach cramping. She's on week 3. She's been trying Kratom tea which she says helps with the aches.

My wife apparently exposed us to it because two or three people she worked with had it.

Our son may have it, he typically doesn't admit to being sick but he literally lays down on the couch after school and falls asleep immediately for the past week or two. Two girls he hangs out with came down with it, one has been sick for two weeks. The other one seemed to have it but only the stomach side and more mild.

Whatever it is it certainly isn't pleasant. Based on how I'm feeling I'll probably be back to 100% in another week or two. Not sure about my wife yet. She's only on week 3 which was a total wash for me.

Similar symptoms as described in original posts. Have been sick for three and a half weeks, no sign of getting better. I has pneumonia last May and was convinced I had the same. It does not seem to be the case (chest X-ray excluded it). This virus (if that is what it is) travels around, bowels, head, chest. Bouts of extreme tiredness. Headaches, sinus ache etc. Lots of coughing. Massive amounts of the snivels. Two first weeks bowel problems. Mild fever on occasion, but there and gone. Strong bouts of tiredness at start. I thought I was better in the last two days, then it hit me again. None of these are symptoms that cause concern. It's the length of the illness that is the problem. It gradually tires one out. I kept working for the first two weeks. I'm off work now.

I've had some of the same symptoms for just over 4 weeks. My primary symptom is a constant, or near-constant chill that originates acutely in my back, but spreads throughout my body, making me constantly cold. It's incredibly distracting and uncomfortable. I've also had days of complete exhaustion and lethargy, and consistent headaches, but haven't experienced traditional cold/flu symptoms like runny nose, congestion, coughing... in the first 2-3 weeks, my body temperature fluctuated between 97.1 - 99.7, but I didn't notice a strong correlation between my temperature and the chills. It's the strangest and most irritating form of sickness I've ever had. My doctor has diagnosed it as "parainfluenza virus," says it will eventually move out of my body, that this is a stubborn strain. I've had my blood work done and all is 'normal' but my doctor said he could confirm the virus by the blood work results. Has anyone else experienced similar persistent chills...?

Felt ill l for 3-4  weeks now. started off wheezy then what I thought was just a heavy cold- sneezing, runny nose , sinus face ache,  headache buT also symptoms of gastritis.  the cold symptoms have mostly gone but feel very tired and stomach problems are lingering on.  Feel bloated with achy back too.  doc says it's virus and give myself TLC.

Hi
I've had similar symptoms as you. Nothing concrete but very irritating. Unwell, stomach ache, abdominal discomfort, last two days some loose stool. Chills constantly, sometimes headache, started in low back, that seems ok now. Weird aches down front of thighs. It can come and go in a day.
How are you doing.?
