I had the procedure at 4.30 pm on Friday 1/26/18. Saturday morning I was up and about. Normal day of errands with no issues. I still have pinkish-to red discharge. Almost 2.5 weeks out.

Hello. I’m having the novasure procedure done on the 26th. I’m a little nervous and ready and the same time. My cycle has made my life go down hill very bad. I’m praying this helps. Did it help you as far as heavy cycles or how has it helped you? To be honest I didn't read the reviews of Novasure prior to my procedure. If I did I don't think I would have done it with all the messages out there. I just went with what my doctor suggested in the office. She only had positive things to say about it. I have High Blood pressure so in my early 40s when I wanted to go on the pill to help control my bleeding the combination BC Pill was not for me so we tried the progesterone only pill. After three months this did not work so on to the Novasure procedure. I am 47 with no other issues besides the heavy and long periods. I had the procedure on Monday, 16 April 2018. I was nervous about being put to sleep but glad I was because what seemed to be no more than a minute later I was waking up and it was done! I felt painful cramps as I woke but was given a pain meds right away and then I felt nothing. About an hour later I was discharged with no more than feeling tired and out of sorts from being sedated. Went home slept like a baby. Took two Motrin just in case and waited... For what I didn't know. For three days I had light spotting. Looking back I think I was waiting for more than what I was seeing. Really Light spotting. No pain. On day three the watery discharged started and it wasn't much. Went through three to four panty liners a day just because I wanted to stay clean. Never really needed to change them. This went on and off for about two weeks. It didn't interfere with anything I needed to do. I think back I was just tired the first week. I guess it was my body working overtime to heal. Today is day 16 and I have a slight brown discharge. Not sure how long this will go on but I thought after reading what others have went through I want to post maybe a more positive post because some of the comments have me scared of what could come. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying for everyone out there. I will try to post in another couple weeks with another update.

Just read your post and was wondering how everything is going for you. If I read the post right you had the procedure about 6 weeks ago.

Today is 3 weeks and one day since I had the procedure done. I was hoping the discharge would have went away by now but it hasn't it goes in waves now. Some just clear, some light pink, some brown with small tissue, and like today a bright red watery discharge. I can go hours without any but it still there at the end of the day. I had intercourse at the end of week three and a couple times since then. All seems to be fine. It is just more in my head that I don't feel clean. What if I get an infection? Things like that. I am suppose to start my period next week so we will see what happens. So far the worst part of this whole experience is the unknown. How fast will I heal? When will this discharge go away? I will post again in another week. I have read so many post but never see any follow-ups so I am hoping things settled down and they were happy with the procedure.

Post Three of Three -- Five Weeks today post ablation! All seems to be going great! Discharge stopped at week four. Did not get my first post ablation period. Gained no weight. Feel a little bit bloated and gassy but I read that was common till my hormones get back to normal. I will try to make another post at the six week hoping I have no complications!

Post Four of Four -- I am six weeks post ablation. Well I am disappointed. My period came back as if I never had the procedure done! After six weeks of recovery, the procedure, and the stress of having it done I am back where I started. Not happy with the results so far. I will check back next month to update incase anyone is reading these posts. They say it takes six months for you to see a new norm... I hope this isn't it. It has to get better.... Good luck ladies!

Post Five of Five -- Wanted to follow-up with a bit of good news.... My last post was posted when I was discouraged! I did get my period but it was only for 3 days not ten so that is a positive outcome. Those three days I was disappointed. If this is remotely my new norm I could be happy. I will check back in a couple weeks just in case anyone is reading these posts.....

Post six of Six -- I am eight weeks post ablation this week. Still not sure how I feel about the whole outcome so far. I had odd cramping during my ovulation times both months so far. The first month I thought it was from healing but it happened again this month. Sore back and believe it or not knee joint pains for days! Not sure why the knees. I still get random discharge. Not so much watery now. Just still allover the place. Light to dark and you see some flesh I guess. I can only think that my uterus is still healing from the 3rd degree burn. Anyways, so far so good. Overall I could be happy if nothing else shows up.

Post seven of seven -- I am ten weeks post ablation this week. I had my second period. This month it went on for 7 days. Spotting for four days and light to medium flow for two days. Then spotting again. Way better than before the procedure. I was told by several other women that each month it should get better. We will see. Hope this is helping someone on this site. So far so good.

Post Eight of Eight -- I am 14 weeks Post Ablation today. Just had my third period. I guess I will not be one of the "Lucky Ones". No Period. This month it lasted for about three days. 24 hours of that was pretty heavy. Super Plus Tampons. I was able to sleep through the night though. Outcome is still better than before the ablation just disappointed that I still have one. I want to say this is my last post since it doesn't look like anyone is reading them. I would say this procedure is a success for me. Just make sure you do your research prior. If all you have is heavy periods this could help you. Procedure was easy. Took about nine weeks to feel like myself again. Periods are lighter and shorter for now. Wishing anyone out there Good Luck! (If anything changes I will try to come back and post an update... Until then all is gong well I guess)

Thank you for your post. I’m scheduled for this procedure in two days and I must say that I nervous after reading so many negative comments.

I have contemplated about this procedure for the past three months and thought about canceling my appointment so many times, but I’m going to do it. My heavy, irregular periods have taken over my life and I’m praying that this procedure will provide me with some relief.
