Hi. I notice while I'm in bed (laying in all positions) a wheezing or gurgling sound when I exhale. Anyone familiar with this?

I was diagnosed last July with chronic Lyme infection ... For over ten years I had pain neurological (fibriomialsia) tested RA positive the list goes on.. I have mild weezing when lying down and my joints ached so bad I bought a 5K bed for relief. But every doctor would give me a generic diagnosis until my immune system finally shut down .. Ps night sweat were rediculous.. I am a 38 year old healthy active female, own my own business bad two children, I'm not looking to be ill.. Lyme tests in the past have come back negative because the testing is very flawful... You should look into this further for yourself (infectious disease has their hands tied for this one) you would need an LLMD if I'm correct, hope your well
I started wheezing about 18 years ago. It was always towards the end of the breath. Supra umbilical and diaphragmatic hernia. My doctor told me that this caused the length of my breath to be too drawn out because the pressure in my lung cavity is a little low due to the hernias. (everything is being sucked towards the hernias). If I control my breathing so that those last trickles of air stay in I can stop the wheezing for as long as I do that exercise but it isn't a practicle solution. I have some mucus which causes me to cough and cough ing up the mucus also helps to lessen or to stop the wheezing. This problem has caused me to have to sleep in another room away from my wife because the wheezing wakes her up and disrupts her sleep. I find that a mild sleeping aid helps me to sleep through the night or just waking once. Often due to the cat wanting to go outside or to urinate. It isn't an easy thing to work around. (by the way I had my hernia fixed but it keeps reopening.

There are dangers to taking silver. WebMD says "Colloidal silver is LIKELY UNSAFE for use. The silver in colloidal silver products gets deposited in vital organs such as the skin, liver, spleen, kidney, muscle, and brain. This can lead to an irreversible bluish skin discoloration that first appears in the gums. It can also stimulate melanin production in skin, and areas exposed to the sun will become increasingly discolored."

Sounds like myocarditis.
This sounds like myocarditis. It is inflammation of the heart. It can occur after getting a virus especially the flu. I seriously doubt that the flu brought on asthma. It sounds exactally like myocarditis. The immune system confuses the protein in the heart for the flu virus. Your immune system floods your heart with white blood cells which ends up causing inflammation to the heart. I know this response is delayed.1/3 of those with myocarditis get better, 1/3 have problems with their heart (congestive heart failure), and 1/3 end in death.
I have this right now. Was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia on 1/8/14. Given steriods & antibiotics as long with an inhaler & promethazine for the cough. I've had asthma my whole life. I may end up going back to the ER tomorrow. The meds did not work. I have trouble breathing to the point where I'm gasping for air if I start moving around. It's terrible I just want it gone for good. Sucks lying around all day with the fear if you start moving you can't breathe and relying on albuterol from the machine to help.
Think heart failure, collapsed lung or laryngospasm.
Am 66 and this is my first year in many ( at least 30 )that I have gotten a flu shot. We were going to Thialand ( from 1-10-14--- 1-26-14 )so the wife and I each got one. It seems my whezzing started after that. Can't seem to shake it. Have been to the dr. twice and took steroid and antibiotics first time for about 6 days. Went back to dr. the following week and did a sinus pill with an antibiotic ( different kind ) regiment for 8 days still with no result. If anything it has gotten worse. the sweats have subsided somewhat, but the wheezing is terrible at night mostly. Cough a lot but hardly anything comes up. When I take a deep breath and exhale I usually cough. Really hard to sleep with this, up half the night. Am really wondering if the flu shot may be the cause
I have that and I have C.L.L.
So very weird! !!! My husband had the same symptoms all of you have mentioned, the weezing, the bubble like gurgling sound, and the shortness of breath. It really kind of freaked him out at first now its just more annoying. But in his case this just stared happening he wasn't sick prior to these symptoms. He does a breathing treatment sing albuterol and polmicort and it seems to help a little but not completley. Please anybody. What is REALLY going on.
I am having the same issues and wondering about the flu shot. I am not going to get one this year (I'm 54).
If your still out there could it have been staff infection that your husband got while in the hospital and passed it on to you?
hi all ..28yr old smoked for 12... i also have just noticed a bubble/gurgling sound when i lie down ... its very quiet but it has been there for over a month (on and off) now and im kinda getting concerned .. i gave up smoking about 3 months ago due to noticing my smokers cough getting worse in the morning ( cronic bronchitus probally) and pretty much straight away noticed a wheezeing noise and shortness of breath (tight feeling in chest too) ..i also have noticed my nose is ALWAYS runny when its cold.. i still cough up a bit in the morning or when it gets colder(clear phlem), but the popping sound (sounds like very quiet popping candy in my lungs .. i have to listen verry hard to hear it ) worries me .. it NEVER happens when im upright just liying down. im going to make a appointment to see a lung specialist ..after 3 months the tightness has pretty much gone and my cough is getting heaps better .. hope this popping/gurgling sound gets better because thats the only thing which might have gotten worse after i quit :( .. kinda hoping its just nasal drip or asthma best of luck to anyone with problems like this as i now know ... IT SUCKS!!
Yes I experience the same actions as if you cant breathe through neither your mouth or nose. It feels as though you're suffocating.
Me too! It hasn't slowed my exercise but my breathing out while resting is shallow. Pulmonary test I had was weak... But I was sick at the time . You may want to try that. I have been deliberately trying to lengthen and strengthen my out breath. I was told to take allergy pills. I had some heavy pollution in my last residence. The dryers link was feeding back into my place. And so was the garage exhaust. Environmental hazards have to be observed for sure.
