Hi. I notice while I'm in bed (laying in all positions) a wheezing or gurgling sound when I exhale. Anyone familiar with this?

ASTHMA often brought on by allergy season & allergic rhinitis
It's ASTHMA. I never had it as a child either but as an adult I took up the stupid habit of smoking in my 30's. Finally quit but it left me with asthma and raging allergies now. The wheezing sound occurs because the mucus gets really thick. Lying down & relaxing causes a natural drop in blood pressure which slows everything down. Albuterol & other drugs speed up the central nervous system which allows a patient to rid themselves of the mucus faster, with clearer lungs. Go to an asthma/allergy specialist & get tested. You'll walk out knowing one way or the other for sure. The wheeze, the gurgle,yeah... asthma.

I have a lot of the same symptoms. When they come, I take oregano oil, and black seed oil morning and at night. I also inhale the oregano oil. I drink ginger tea with menthol crystals. I also mix it with licorice root tea (be careful with this tea if you have heart problems) and dandelion tea. Let's see. I also drink eat dark cherries and drink tart cherry juice to battle any inflammation of my bronchial tubes. Today I just bought thyme and carey sage to diffuse. I'm doing these things and getting better every day. I'm not a doctor but this natural stuff had been working for me!
Curious and uncomfortable also. Wheezing at night and having night sweats again with A/C . 57 yrs old. The sound wakes me up. The phlegm is thin.
I believe I had a pretty bad bout of the flu around Thanksgiving this year. Recently, I have noticed this gurgling at night while trying to go to bed. My Dr. said this is called rhonchi. When I look it up online, I find it is a common symptom of COPD, so I am worried. I do have allergies. I wake up in the morning feeling fine but I guess whatever this is, it gets worse again throughout the day...
I am having a lot of the same symptoms for almost 3 months now. Started out as a cold, turned sinus infection, Eustachian tubes closed and opened multiple times, turned to pneumonia, have scarring on my lungs, have has xrays, cat scans, blood work, 3 packs of steroids, two nebulizer medications, Symbicort, Albuterol, Mucinex, Advil Cold and Sinus, 3 antibiotics that did not work etc.
A year later for you. How is your health?
Same odd thing. Surprised to find out so many others with the same thing. Used Mucinex All in One Cold & Flu for a cough. By the 5th straight bottle I realized the wheezing/gurgling was gone.
That's exactly what I'm experiencing. Seems to be worse when i lay on my left side.... it's sounds like something is flapping
