about two years back i shaved my balls and from that time i have been suffering from itchy scrotum. So much so that some time the intensity of itchiness is so high, that i had to literally scratch them for minutes, which leads to blood plasma coming out of the skin. Now from couple of months even the areas of my ass holes started itching and its really embarrassing when people are around. Not sure is it fungus or something else as i have not seen any doctor yet. Any one can related to this problem and cured it, please advise.

Benadryl is a cough syrup.. How does it help in itchy scrotum? its not even relevant.

I’ve been scouring the internet to find something or someone to back up this theory. I told my sons pediatrician and allergist that anytime he drinks apple juice in particular or any other highly acidic drink, he’s scratching his penis by that night. My son is 4 and has been doing this since he was baby. They tried to claim it was self exploration but I knew it was diet triggered. I haven’t given him apple juice for months. Today, he had apple juice at a friends house, sure enough he was going to town scratching by night time. I am confident that certain juices causes an itchy penis.

I have been fighting this problem for years, two nights ago, I used Nivea creme moisture moisturizing body wash and really worked over the scrotum stretching and working it into all the areas, I rinsed well in the shower and I have been COMPLETELY itch free since, I had tried anti fungal, cutting out the sugar, cold bathing (helped some but not much), I am not a salesperson for this product, but it works, it's cheap and available at Walmart among other places, it is for dry skin, best of luck to you all, I sincerely sympathize with you all!!!

CHECK YOUR LIVER. Extreme itching is a symptom of liver disease. I have very itchy balls, but I also itch all over and I've finally found out that it's a symptom of liver disease. I also have white flakey skin on arms. I am the following:
- Over weight by 70 pounds
- Drink a lot of alcohol ( whisky, wine, beer)
- I don't drink water as much as I should
- I am 58 years old
- I drink red wine a lot
- I eat a rich fatty diet
- I do not smoke

What do you have in common with me ? What is th common denominator? I also have almost all the symptoms of liver disease which are:
- Itching skin all over
- Extreme fatigue
- Diarhea
- Bloated abdomen
- Skin rash of white flakey scales on arms
- Dark urine
- Irritated skin
- Fluid retention

How many of those symptoms are you experiencing?

If it haven't already, your prostate is going to enlarge and I would recommend not to take any antihistamines.

Benedryl is an antihistamine. Read the label on all antihistamine containers. They will all state that antihistamines are not good for men because your prostate will enlarge.

I too have had the itchy ball syndrome. After going to the doctor he was shocked to see the cheese build up and determined this to be the cause of the itch. We identified that I actually hadn’t bathed in quite a few months and if I were to take a bath at least once a week this would solve the problem. Hoorah! Sunday is now bath day and those little critters no longer itch!

I am had Itchy balls and Scaly for 5 Years! I have gone to the Dr. and he always say it is due to my Diabetes. At 56, I am not someone that is very promiscuous sexually( the Meds seem to take that out of you!)
But my Dr wrote a script for Nyamyc but it seems not to do anything. I end up using Gold Bond Medicated Extra Strength to take away the itch Temporarily but it always comes back! 5 Years, I need a break! It is killing my quality of life.

That extra ball, is more than likely Staph. Ive had itchy balls for 10 years now and ive had staph twice there since i scratch so much. You prob already found that out tho.

What you describe is me for the past 10 years,
But no diabetes. I tried all types of creams from my dermatologist but betamethazone ointment cures it for at least 4-5 days at a time. I was and still scratch until i bleed especially at night and before the ointment many sleepless nights. Dr. Said it was more than likely Eczema and that ointment is literally a life saver
