That's the best explanation I've heard yet. I'm 50 years old and have had this pain off and on my entire life. Not so much in the penus but definitely when urinating. It doubles me over. Terrible pain. My mother took me to every Dr in Indiana and no one could ever figure it out. I've mentioned it to every dr I have had in my life and I'm always told they don't know.
My husband and son suffer from the same pain many of you describe. They often described it as a "cord of pain" between the naval and penis. They just recently found a diagnosis and I thought I would share as so many people have yet to to find answers. It is called Pudendal nerve entrapment. The cord of pain is actually a nerve. Hope this helps someone.

Guys sit & relax.my son was going through it so we got apendx surgery done, but no relief. We had done barium, sonography & abdominal scan, and many more tests who H are negative.then our told me that it's a muscular pain, the I searched & enquired & found that the navel displaced & got it fixed through one local masseur which is free. Pls try this. Now it seems to be relieved. Medical science does not approve it but the it's a real problem.
I am 21 year old male It happens to me next day after masturbate and i also urinate to quickly after masturbate what should i do when pain is started
Same right now
I had this pain today, same symptoms. Curling into the fetal position helped. My parents said it could be a uti.
Well I also have had these same pains my Doctor said this some people don't lose their inner ambilical cord this can cause it discomfort or pain.
Stretch well. The ambilical cord when in mothers womb os connected to other parts of the body. At times you can stretch it out and get some relief. Maybe soak in Epsom salt bath to reduce swelling.
Yes spot on I seem to associate mine with holding pee also
I have read quite some posts here and believe that I must reinforce some causes shared by many others.
- I have an INNIE
- I do feel slight pinch near bladder when cleaning up the navel
- The stabbing condition happens very rarely
- It happens when I am drinking very little water and more soft drinks (caffeine?)
- The stab goes from lower abdomen through bladder towards the right penis tip
- It triggers all of a sudden mostly when straightening the back after being slouched for a while (this time I was in typical 'lying in bed with laptop' posture)
P.S.
I am 21, Male and more inclined towards the theory of short ligament.
PLEASE SHARE YOUR IDEAS IN AN ORGANIZED WAY. It's easier for those in pain to go through and feel better.

It's your urachus, you may have a small infection or a cyst it can cause a discomfort like pulling sensation from the belly button to your urinary track.
It could only be that outtie belly button people have this. Reason is because the umbilical cord is sticking out you belly and if you push it down, you will feel a sensation from your belly to your anus and penis. Sounds right huh?
These same exact symptoms happen to me roughly 2-3 times a year, minus the stinging when I pee... has there been any advancement on this post since last year, like does anyone actually know what this is and how to deal with it
Nice answer... by far i would say this is the correct explanation
