I just had an episode yesterday actually for seven hours after not having one for a year and a half. It's truly a horrible pain and it's always hard to cope with for me since they seem to happen a year or two apart. I will definitely try the vinegar suggestion though the next time it happens, which I'm assuming it will. Thanks folks!

Oh my god you story sounds just like mine! Misdiagnosed for about a year with acid reflux. ...ended up in hospital for 4 days on a drip at 8 weeks pregnant (that's where story similarities end!!)....now 34 weeks pregnant and waiting to have baby so they can remove my gallbladder. Hope your feeling well now....had to reply as I know exactly what your going through and the pain is horrific!

Try 2 tbsp olive oil and some lemon juice as a cleanse and I drink 1/4 apple cider vinegar with some apple juice to ease the pain.

first off I cannot believe the pain people, and now me, go through with gallstones. FOr the love of all things holy...I literally screamed and the ONLY thing that gave me relief was sticking my fingers down my throat and getting whatever undigested food out! I had instant relief I mean from writhing in pain, asking for someone to kill me (burning shoulders, spear through the sternum and back pain) to instant relief. The production of bile, the stones, the agitation of the gallbladder they are all under massive pressure when you eat, especially high fat/fried foods. ( I ate a jerk chicken poutine (poutine is Canadian fries/cheese curds/gravy) and a butter tart) and I almost passed out. I threw that c**p up and felt instant relief, so if you feel nauseous at all, and you feel an immense amount of pressure and pain I recommend the fingers down the throat-get it out and you will feel better. Then like me clean up your eating act! Low fat, lots of fruit and veg, no ice cream high fat cheese, lots of water and nothing fried. I am hoping I can stay on a strict diet and never go through that pain again. Good Luck...heating pads, and someone rubbing your back really help as well.

I'm 26 female, admittedly overweight and my attacks only started about 3 months ago. The pain is unbelievable sometimes, worse than labour pains! Few times I've been crying in pain and I have a high pain threshold. Been to GP and being sent for an abdo scan next week, hopefully the gallstone diagnosis will come so I at least have an answer and hopefully a resolution as the attacks are unbearable. Have been given Omeprazole to take once daily , helped for about 2 weeks but now this is my second attack in 2 days

I've had 4 gallbladder attacks and the pain is just unbearable.. Whenever I have an attack, I've taken 2 Aleves and 2 Buscupan and that really seems to work until I can have surgery

I am having an attack right now and this is my second in months after being diagnosed with gallstones. The first one didn't hurt as much. I always had Braggs ACV and apple juice handy then. Now, cannot find the exact brand anywhere. I have now ACv with Honey. Not sure if it really works. But i have taken Tramadol + Paracetamol and yes it works like an angel! Although, relief only lasts for about 5hrs. For me it's better than no relief at all as i am on my 2nd day of continuous pain. I am going to get an ultrasound tomorrow to see how much stones i have already. And i really don't wanna go through surgery. I hope the doctor will have an alternative medicine for me. I have been taking Rowatinex Capsules since i was diagnosed and it kept me from having attacks except now. Maybe it has gotten worse already. I'm about to find out.

Everyone says the same exact thing w/ these gall bladders. I was at the ER & was embarrassed to say how long I've had the issue, as it's been years. Supplements help, Lecithin (which has many health benefits), Milk Thistle, Curcumin, Evening Primrose oil, Ginger tea, 1T Tumeric & 1T honey is a natural antibiotic to take to keep it from getting infected. A heating pad works wonderfully. Also you can put castor oil on the GB area, cover it w/ a piece of flannel & top it w/ a hot water bottle. Eat an apple before a main meal, helps w/ digestion due to the Malic acid. If you lay on your right side in bed, it aids in bile production. I know it's terribly miserable
