I’ve always heard around 10-12 Years is average. I have a 15 year old male, but sadly he starting to have hard time, so it’s time to let him go! He’s had a long life!

That's not true. I have a 12 year old now and had one that was 10 but passed away from cancer.

Hi My male Pitbull Meatball was healthy up until the last week of his life.We went to the doctor they discovered a tumor in his lungs. He was still wagging his tail eating and everything after the first seizure [which was the only indication he was sick, that and barking more for no apparent reason]. He passed a week after we went to the doctor. On his favorite yoga mat. :0]

I don't think I'll ever get an another breed of dog. They are adorable, strong smart, silly, completely compassionate and loveable. My boy was also very healthy throughout his life. He was adopted from the ASPCA at 3.5 years ild. I highly recommend this breed of dog.

I agree. They are mellow animals with people.
Other dogs outside the family's pets are usually their defensive mode.
Please don't Teach the dog to be mean.
I have seen it done & its cruel

Agreed. their looks alone are intimidating

I really hope you do not get any animal because of those reasons. You adopt an animal as part of your family. Would you use your child as defense?

Have a 12 yr old female who adores people & kids. My grandkids can do anything with her (although I would never leave them alone together) Never barks when the doorbell rings. She may bark at people from the yard if she doesn't recognize them, but it's not a vicious bark. Although she was with other dogs before we got her and socialized, there are still some dogs she just doesn't like, which puts us on our guard. but lately she has become a real couch potato and will jump in our bed in the winter. Just a real love.
