I feel so bad for all of you having this start at 27. It is kinda when mine started too and I’m now 42. It’s been irregular but consistently tension migraine pain associated with period. I have it right now. Sometimes it’s beginning, sometimes end. The only things that help me are to rest and go without food (or I get an upset stomach since it seems my digestion is not working, but not always) and ice my head. It helps manage it but does not eliminate it. Things worth exploring is the info in the book Dirty Genes by Dr. Ben Lynch and mercury toxicity, or toxicity in general. I’ve lived a chemical free life for over a decade and started cleaning up my life and diet around the time it all began. I believe there’s an energy and metaphysical associations also. I guess checking hormone levels daily should be a regular protocol for women like us. Wouldn’t it be nice to know what’s going on without some doctor basically guessing and prescribing some worthless pill?
Similar to me too, only I’ve had many years. Possibly associated with trigger points in the neck and shoulders and is actually a cervicogenic headache. Dry needling, chiropractic, massage, energy work...all these weekly may help us with our symptoms, but I feel we also need to know what our hormones are doing and what gene is expressing that way
Great news for pre- and tail-end period sufferers! I suffered for 20 YEARS from this problem and 3 months ago kicked them COMPLETELY by doing 3 things: 1) going off the pill, 2) not eating sugar before and during the period, and 3) taking an iron supplement. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!
Have a look at persistent postural perception dizziness! I had exactly the same im now on serialine and symptoms have improved massively
My mom suffers from heavy headaches after a period every month. Sometimes the problem stays for 2 days and sometimes for 3 days.
I want to know the solution to her problem. Thank you.
Take Nurtec for your hormonal migraines. It works!!!! studies show also that you maybe have a low ferritin levels, and this is why you are experiencing migraines at the end of your period.
