Okay so I read ALL THESE POSTS, I am trying this for the first time. I hope it does half of what every one is saying. I am no stranger to withdrawals and they have always ended me up in the hospital or the next pill. I just took my first dose of 25 Loperamide and I am only about 7 hours into the withdrawals. Will re-post tomorrow to see how it goes. Thanks for this post.

Sorry it took me so long to reply I just checked back on this site. Yes I was using at least 2-4 grams of heroin daily for a few years. This was an everyday thing and if for some reason I couldn't find any H I would get several 40 mg oxymorphone until the H was back in. I begin taking the loperamide in 72 pill bottles which is 144 mg. It seems like an awful lot of pills but its not as bad as you may think. I would use a bottle a day until a few days later I started taking less and less.

This works for WDs and anyone saying it doesn't they are either lying to you or haven't tried it. I have friends that are heavy users and refuse to take it but would instead rather lay around sick as a dog. I think this is absolutely foolish but hey its not me having to suffer through those WDs anymore.

No, I never tapered from the heroin use. I went from injecting several grams a day ( I say 2-3 but some days it was more than that) to doing nothing but the loperamide. It works better than anything I know of on this earth. I tell anyone to not take my word for it they should try it themselves and find out. It is much better than spending thousands on drugs and worry about the possibility of getting arrested in the process.

Smoking is no way as hard on you as injecting when quitting so you shouldn't have to take it for near as long as I did to rid yourself of the WDs.

There is no need to argue with idiots about the placebo nonsense. If they are going through WDs and don't want to take loperamide to feel better then they should just do it cold turkey. I am in no way affiliated with some company that profits from loperamide sales so I'm not benefiting in any way by telling anyone this. I'm just trying to help others that don't want to lay around in WDs for weeks on end. But as I replied earlier, I know many people that refuse to take it just because they think they know it doesn't work, despite the fact they have never tried it. Oh well, I'm not the one having to feel the agony of their WDs so maybe they will figure it out one day.

I stated in my original post that I was using between 2-3 grams daily and that was a low estimate because many days it was often more than that.

I was so desperate to end the nightmare without jumping back into a long term suboxone program or something similar. When I read about the imodium I was willing to try because I experienced a pretty mild withdrawal with clonodine- which was given to me through a outpatient detox at a time i could not afford to pay a daily co-pay for the Suboxone. I never knew about clonodine before the experience but was happy with how well it worked. It made me angry that no treatment center or doctor ever mentioned it before. I felt like keeping me on Suboxone was their ultimate goal, which worked for over five years. I am glad for that time on Suboxone because it helped. I just wish I would have felt I could have had another option.
So anyway, I decided to try the imodium. I was in shock at how well it worked at not only alleviating the physical symptoms, but the crippling anxiety was gone too. So now that I know this OTC remedy really works, I have taken the next step. I got rid of my drug paraphenalia and will use the imodium to cross over and stay away from opiates. I will do my best to keep posting updates.

Ok, im going to tell everyone in this chat to stop taking the lopermide. You can and will get addicted from it. I've been on it for over a year. I take 200 usually but I'm tired of eating that many pills every two days.. the withdrawal from this is so so so so much worse then from an opiate. I wish I could talk to a doctor about it and get help, but I'm afraid no one will be able to help. I have five little ones and I can't afford to go through withdrawal either. Just note you can and will become addicted. And yes you can get very high from them. Take 70 wait an hour your stomach will cramp, then you normally have a bowel movementhe then the head change really kicks in. So yeah both can happen. Research it people. I figured this out a year or two ago.

I have to agree. I have gone through withdrawal symptoms many times and the higher dosage of Loperamide is an incredible secret. The bad thing is why is it a secret. Pharmaceutical companies don't want this info out. I have to point out the timing on when you take the supplements is important. There are some amino acids like L-Theanine, L-Tyrosine, that help with mood and relaxation but dont take them to close to when you are trying to sleep. Take them with the Fish Oil and some B complex in the morning or when you need to be awake. When you are trying to sleep the Melatonin, Tryptophan, other sleep aids with a hot shower. The Loperamide does not effect the drowsiness so at anytime of day or night can be taken.
