I mean you could potentially overdose if you take too many. What Loperamide is , is a opioid that does not pass the blood brain barrier. Thus you don't get high. Really the most dangerous part with taking that much lope is constipation.

That is totally false. Lope is just a opioid that cant cross the blood brain barrier so you dont get high.

Unfortunately, you sound like a dying breed. Even now that Obama Care has been in effect, the Doctors that used to care about there clients and know them by there names, are something from the past. My parents go to a Doctor who has actually retired and works from his house now. He has accepted a small amount of patients that he has been with for many years now. He let them know he was basically retiring, but going to continue a small practice from his home. They go to his house, wait in his living room and play with his little dog. He comes through a door and asks them to come on back to the room. He has a couple rooms that are designed as regular patient seeing rooms, with the proper examination tables and all the gear you would normally see in any standard medical office. He does not deal with insurance, it is private pay only and it is very very minimal charge for the service he gives.
When you call the office (his home) for anything, you will get a secretary who answers the phone during normal business hours. If you call after business hours, you will get a recording that says, leave a message or if this is an emergency, call 911.
All this being said, I commend you Doctor for your conviction and helping others.

Thanks and God Bless

This medicine does work for withdrawal relief. To say that because it doesn't bind in the brain it provides no relief is bunk. the psychological symptoms are only a part of w/d. The physical is at least half if not more. For me even small doses of "lope" alleviate even the mental part. Thousands of people in different circumstances and environments who have found relief cannot be wrong...

Actually you can get high on loperamide and it is VERY ADDICTIVE.

Hi, I'd like to bring this thread/topic back to the forefront so that others can benefit from it. It took me about an hour to finally find the original poster and his answer. There are people who are still as of 2 days ago looking for it. The Loperamide that is.
Thanks

Been trying to kick oxy for about a year now. Broke my back in 05 and am on my third hip replacement; all three giving a real bad time of it. So a steady diet for about 10yrs. Read about the loperamide thing and so why not. On my second round of 20pills as suggested. First round went quite well. Felt pretty good after about 2 hours. Actually got 3-4 hrs. sleep which in itself was really nice. Did another 20 tonight, and went to bed looking for same results. No Good. Jumped out of bed twitchyer than Id like. So I wonder if I need more dose or just more time? Thanks

Not for nothing, I'm 20 year dope head. Suboxone, methadone, whatever. The sh*t does work. I didn't believe it would but it does. Do not take the gel tabs unless you can handle some bad stomach ache? But it's a small thing compared to withdrawal and it won't last long. Not for me at least.

First of all. Ask your doctor to stop giving you anything that contains Tylenol. There are options to get pain medication without Tylenol

Just wanna chime in here, lope definitely works! Wait until you feel the achy WD starting, etc. I'd say take 50 lopes. Drink plenty of water. Taper down from there. 40. 30. 20.10. maybe hold a couple days etc but never go back up, they ARE addictive. Get off opes they ruin lives!!!!!

Lemme chime in this works! Take about 40-50 lopes. Then 10 less every couple of days. See how you feel. If WD remains, hold on that dose a few days, NEVER going back up, just holding. Then drop 5-10 pills. Hold then drop accordingly until done. Lope IS addictive. Trust me it's better than being an addict. Stay tapering or holding at all times. Never go up! Drugs ruin lives. Lope is a good secret but must be used responsibly and get outta this cycle for good.

Below is all based on my own experience. I am not a certified expert. Just wanted to quickly put some info together. 1)It definitely works. 2) I was very timid at first. Only took 4-8 mg when I quit first. Looking back, wish I knew then what I know now. 3) you need to match your dose, how much oxy does it take you to get high/relief? For me, it was 15-30mg. I have experience taking 30x 2mg lop pills. No negative effects. Except, One time I took too much and effects were similar to taking too much opiod. Treat lop like a normal opiod! .4) lop will not only help your withdraw, it will also offer substantial help during paws. However, keep it moderate because it is addictive and it will keep your tolerance high and/or increase your tolerance if you use it daily. It WILL offer a boost in mood during paws, but use it moderately. 5) once through withdraw and are in paws, talk to dr. about depression. I would stay away from ssri though. Don't trade your habit.. An anti-dep combined with moderate lop dosing (meaning amount of days used, not mg dose) will offer considerable relief to get you through paws. 6) overall benefits: in withdraw, lop will allow you to sleep. Lop will satisfy cravings during paws. Lop will heavily reduce withdraw symptoms. 7) main advice: think of lop as an opiod, because that is what it is. However, It has less of an effect on diarrhea than the opioids you have been taking for years. Use it like a normal Opiod and be cautious like you would with a normal opiod.

I feel SO sorry for anyone who actually believes Guest MD is a real Doctor! Come on, he is just an addict like the rest of us, and wants to help others (which is good) but pretending to be a doctor just to get people to listen to your methods is wrong! Good luck everyone!

They actually are addictive. Please don't listen to the statement that it's not addictive. It's like methadone to come off from even after using it for a short period of time. The halflife is super long. Takes about a month to feel better for most ppl, me it took a couple weeks because I have a very high metabolism and drink lots of water and eat well. It's still better than doing opies or not going to work or taking care of your children. You need to taper off slowly like 'done.
