I read that wearing a bra for more days than 3 without washing it traps dirt and gives these blackheads.
Hi ladies! I have found a solution to the blackhead/bumps with several unrooted hairs on my breasts and on my thighs, buttocks, and abdomen. This worked for me with fantastic results but if you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide, or have sensitive skin I would not recommend this. I am 48 and since my pregnancies my breasts became much larger. I had a breast reduction but I still had the bumps with the excess, unrooted hairs. Here is how I got rid of them..Now my breasts are SO SMOOTH!!!
When I take my shower I follow my regular routine, wash hair, shave, etc...after about 10 or 15 minutes the warm water opens up the pores on your body, including the breasts. I use Proactiv body cleanser on a scrub brush or sponge. Holding the breast taut (not too hard) I work in small circular motions all around the breast tissue, avoiding the nipples! I cover the entire breast and under the breasts. I also do this with my abdomen, buttocks and thighs. The cleanser will get into the pores and clean them out, plus the benzoyl peroxide will help keep the pimples and blackheads at bay. Sometimes I use Proactiv repair treatment lotion afterwards. I pat the breast dry and apply the lotion sparingly on the breasts but not on the nipples, but keep in mind that the repair treatment is a benzoyl peroxide product that can discolor your clothing. I only use the repair lotion if I am wearing an old bra, or if I am putting on pajamas for the night or if I have a breakout of pimples. If for some reason I do have a pimple, I apply only to the pimple. The body cleanser is rinsed off after you shower, and the benzoyl peroxide is in the pores and does not cause any problems with my clothing. The act of the cleansing in the shower is more than enough to keep my breasts smooth and clear. The scrubbing also removes all those unwanted extra, unrooted hairs!!
Like I said, some women may not be able to use the Proactiv body cleanser on their body but for me this has been a miracle. I don't know if this would work with other types of scrubbing, benzoyl peroxide body washes, but I've used proactiv for years and I love it. It does cost a bit more than conventional soaps but if you use it only on your problem areas it will last longer. If you try this and it works for you please let me know!? Just do NOT pop and squeeze the bumps. It is not effective, and does cause scarring and infection. Think of cleaning your breasts a routine like cleaning your face. We all wash our face every day, and we put so much effort into keeping the skin on our face clean and clear. Your breasts...well your entire body too, needs the same attention. GIVE THIS A TRY!!!
I have many bras, and I do wear the same bra for about 5 days in a row, depending on the weather and if I am sweating more than usual. I do wear bras that are breathable which helps but the benzoyl peroxide wash has been my miracle cure for keeping the bumps and hairs off, and gone. I was so embarrassed. I could not ask my doctor either! Which is pretty funny because I work in the medical field and I have seen it all. Since I discovered how to keep them clear though I have not needed a doctor.
I have been dealing with this problem for as long as I can remember. I have a routine that works wonders for me. It might seem a bit odd but it works. I shave my breasts first which seems to get rid of a lot of it then right after shaving I use apricot scrub. I massage that scrub all over the newly shaven breast for about 3 minuests then rinse. You will notice an immediate difference but it is over yet becuase what you just did was get the top layer but that means the rest of the clog will now come out. The next day I scrub my breast again for three minuets using my hands and apricot scrub. Seriously this is an improvement that lasts if you keep up with shaving, don't use and electric razor, and using apricot scrub. I use St.Ives apricot scrub that is formulated for blemishes if you were wondering.
