hello, I am a 32 years old female and I have been suffering from buzzing sensation in the head for over 3 months now. I also feel a flickering all over my body ( back, legs, arms) but mostly in the head. I have seen a nuerologist, MRI,MRA,MRV, results are normal. I was also reffered to an ENT because before all these symtoms started 4 months ago I had a nasal congestion and when I tried to blow the mucus out, I became very dizzy, felt like the wall was spinning for a few seconds. Since then I had foggy vision for 2 months. My vision eventually better after a few months but the buzzing sensation in my head has not gone away. feels like its gotten worst because now I also have flickering and pulsing sensation all over my body mostly in my head. I have seen almost all type of specialist but cant seem to find whats causing the problem. The back of my neck has been hurting also and I do hear a sound more like a sizzling sound, not sure if its coming from neck, throat or ear but these feeling are very disturbing. I feel like I had developed anxiety because its been going on for a while now and still cannot rule out whats causing it. Please help if you have an idea, thank you in advance!

ive had it for 3 years the buzzing sound. it is not i repeat not something phsyical just in nature. it is mental and affects us phsyically. now im zen buddhist and for a bit i thought it was the pineal gland. this pineal gland mythology is myth. my advice. look at it directly. done swerve. sit and face it. see it for what it is without name calling. also i might add the pineal gland is the housing of the third eye according to some..aka the attention. so it is for sure not some kind of all aware eye. haha. i consider it delusion. also if you look up you can suffer massive hallucinations from a overactive pineal gland and it is called dmt. it is released from the brain. shrinks know of it but dont tell us. it is the strongest halluincaigen in the world. i feel it is also a precurser for mental illness. so yes im zen buddhist or toaist in a way but for sure not bound by their doctrine. so i believe the third eye stuff to be a falsity and lie. it has affected me big time. actually making my whole body feel like its burning a little ect. alot. word of advice. the attention is the tip of the iceberg of the soul/energy/lifeforce/spirit. it is NOT in the center of the mind. doctors....even western and eastern are full of alot of crap. view it subjectively. not the western approach to mind and body. to me mine was mental pain/worrying about everything/falsities in all our lives. alot. ive gotten rid of it from time to time. for the last two days...nothing. i would say view it in a christian way but that was a horrible experience in my life. ive actually cough cough exorcised it and heard it externally. seems. but that didnt last long. if it bothers you its no good. period. its not a acceptance thing. if you contemplate deeply or meditate alot you could have created this delusion in your mind. how can you view the buzzing/pineal gland and its the seat of the attention at the same time? so therefore it is not the seat of attention. and even if true...you dont want a overstimulated pineal gland cause it can release massive amounts of dmt and also dopamine and seratonin. so no good either way. period. i do consider it a product of imagination. but....like all things man made......we make it so. and real. just well......shrug it off.

I have been having this issue now for approx 3 months, I have not discussed it with anyone as I don't know how to even try to explain it. I also get a weird noise when blinking or closing my eyes in my ears. I feel it has something to do with stress. I am also suffering severe depression that is being treated. I will be discussing these symptoms with the Psychiatrist on my next visit so will keep you posted on what he thinks it may be caused bye

I have buzzing in my head and all body in side and feeling uncomfortable please help me .I am above 40 I have this problem from 4 months .
Hello everybody,
these sensations of buzzing in the head are realted to atypical migraine I think, as well as pins and needles or buzzing in other parts of the body than the head. Although am not a doctor. I had nasal pressure which is very common in migraine and developed head pressure. I now have a continuous buzzing sensation in my head and suffer with occassional pins and needles, dizziness and buzzing sensation on the left side of my body mainly my foot that comes and goes. If you look at some of the work by headache specialists such as Dr. Goadsby, Silberstein or Silver you may find you have a lot of the symptoms these guys describe. I have just been started on migraine preventatives.

Hey guys,
this is definetely atypical migraine in the form of chronic daily migraine, it can last for months and even years without treatment. Most neurologists don't recognise it. You can have chronic migraine 24/7. You need to get yourself to a headache specialist, don't carry on suffereing. Ive been started on propanolol, only been on it for just over a week and already my vertigo has gone. Still have head buzzing and buzzy feet and hand but not been on the drug that long need to give it a 4 month trial. You get weird sensations all over your body as migraine causes central nervous sytem sensitization. Not everybody gets pain in the head with migraine. Some people get it in the neck or just pressure or buzzing sensation in the head.
Another good way to get rid of it naturally is to stop drinking coffee and tea (caffenated) decaf is ok and chocolate also is another culprit. I saw a massive improvement when I stopped eating and drinking these things all the pressure went out of my sinuses (sinsus pressure common in migraine) and the buzzing went down in intensity in my head and body.
Hopefully this is helpful and everybody gets better!
I wish I had an answer for all of you, however, I'm looking for answers myself. In Jan.2012, I somehow pulled a musle in my neck/shoulder (my dignosis) doing some Comtempory Theraphy for my disgestion. At that time ringing started in my ears, have been to PC and ear specialist-both tell me nothing can be done. About 6 months ago, this constant and I mean constant buzzing is in my head-I know the difference because the noise in my ear is different and comes and go. Like another person wrote-this is really getting to me physically and mentally. It goes on day and night-never changes a beat. I'm under so much stress from the constant noise that my anxiety is going out the roof.
IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS AN ANSWER PLEASE HELP US! Hopefully a physician will read these and give us an answer.
