I had the same thing done, because of bleeding all the time. Was under the assumption that I would not bleed after the procedure. Well I was wrong I bleed or have a discharge all the time . Had the surgery about 6 wks ago. I just want to be able to wear a pair of panties without protection. I was told by my Dr. that this would stop after the surgery,M still waiting.

I had the endometrial ablation done first time It didn't stop me bleeding it did slow down alot, but after 1yr it fully came back I was bleeding very heavy again. I went back to my Dr. who recemended I do it again because after a sonogram he was able to see that my body grew back all the uterine linings he had burned away guess I wasn't ready to stop having periods. So I had it done again figured it was better and easier than having surgery or bleeding heavy again.
After the second ablation which was a piece of cake I barley get a period if I do its very light and I am able to live a normal life without heavy bleeding THANK GOD BLEEDING HEAVY IS NO WAY TO LIVE I HIGHLY RECEMEND THIS ENDOMETRIAL ABLATION.

Did you ever stop spotting? I'm in the same boat - spotting every single day since the ablation 42 days ago.... Just hoping this will get better, especially since I didn't actually WANT the ablation in the first place. I went in for fibroid removal and the doc tacked on the ablation as if it was part and parcel of the fibroid removal. I'm very very upset - on many levels.

Wow, I wished I would have investigated the pros and cons of an edometrial ablation before I had mine done 9 months ago but I felt desperate to have a normal life.  I'm 51 and still have heavy periods every 3 weeks.  In between, I bleed everyday with every time I go to the bathroom and intercourse.  After insurance it cost me about $1900.00.  What a waste.

I've just recently had the ablation on 3/22/2013. Every since I've had the procedure done I have seen a period. Yeah, it's lighter than before the procedure but it's constantly everyday. This is so annoying. I am glad to know that I am not the only 1 going through this. My age is 42.

I had the Novasure procedure done almost 4 months ago. I had the typical watery breakthrough bleeding for the first three weeks and then it tapered to a stop. Had a month with nothing and I was really hopeful. Then I has some more breakthrough and then a full on period. I went for two to three weeks and then started spotting. I've had two full periods, not nearly as heavy and nightmareish as before and with little or no cramping, and I'm having bleeding right now though I'm not sure it's a period, but it is every day.

Now I'm just waiting for this to stop. I have read where some people had bleeding when they went to the bathroom and I've experienced that too. I hate the unpredictability. I was so hopeful that my periods would be over for good. I'm 49 and a lot of my heavy bleeding before the procedure that increased from being peri-menopausal. I had been on birth control to help this most of my adult life and progestin only pills for a year before the procedure but that didn't seem to help the heavy bleeding and I even had an episode that landed me in the hospital.

I'm trying to give this more time before going back to the doctor. I know he'll just say to wait and see. I read it can take up to a year before you really know if it worked or not. So I'm going to at least wait six months before returning. I just hate bleeding all the time. Even if its not allot. It's still annoying.

When did you finally stop bleeding? I had mine Aug 1 I had the normal 2day bleeding and week discharge.15 days later I thought it was my cycle which was very light however the third week and still today it's darker and little heavier. So now I've been bleeding since the 16th. Calling my gyno this week.

I am 54 and had ThermaChoice ablation one month ago.  Had been bleeding nonstop for three months prior.  Am still bleeding one month out from procedure all the time, some days light, some days heavy with clots and especially after heavy shoveling and snowblowing.  Doctor said everything looks fine.  Have been wearing pads, tampons, or both since way before Halloween.  I just want it to stop.

I had the procedure done 4/2/13 and I have just started to bleed again after 11 months of nothing I'm now worried that I'm going to end up bleeding and clotting like I did before, and there is so many sites out there that I have been reading and now I'm scared that I'm going to end up having a hysterectomy' they say that having the ablation is just a way to put off having that done, and that the ablation ends up causing more problems, so now it's like a wait and see game to see how bad I'm going to get as far as the bleeding, kind of scared to think that I caused myself more problems.

I had the NovaSure abalation procedure on December 4. I bled and spotted for 3 weeks. However, before the end of January I had a full 5-day cycle, just like before the surgery. Same thing occurred in February and March. The heavy flow and cranps are the same too. It's like I never had the surgery! I have an appointment with the doctor on next week, and I am afraid he will tell me I need a hysterectomy due to fibroids, which weren't of concern before. I am careful to wear double protection of pads and tampon just to avoid having an accident. I am very discouraged at age 50 that this procedure did not work for me.

I know your pain...had laporascopic endometrial ablation/D&C/Tubal Ligation..close to 4 years ago.. finally getting excited that I'm hitting menopause, I'm 50..turn 51in Oct....lately, stopped for 6 months..then started few months..stopped 6 mo..then since Jan '14 have had three very heavy w/clots.changing every hour...Reason for operation in '10: Changed soaked super plus tampon inside and an infinity pad outside every 1/2 hour for the first 5 hours of a day...which had me about fainting at home..couldn't leave home for couple days...bleeding on floor, having to shower with my pants on..to wash myself and clothes as took off..anemic...AFTER OPERATION: I ended up soaking both every 4 hours! Now HOW in the world can you soak THAT much AFTER an operation!!?? IT'S SO FRUSTRATING!! I pray your doing better now..I'm so frustrated with myself that I tried a different gynocologist for a laporascopic surgery...versus old fashion Hysterectomy that my normal Gyno..probably would have done for me..have had abnormal pap, and abnormal biopsy..a polyp that has grown a bit..I'd contact your ob/gyn..have him/her check..I was supposed to go for recheck of problem in February '14..and with this change due to ObamaCare stuff..my old Ins Carrier..said our plan was obsolete/canceled for non compliance...now I found a new private insurance plan that will give me back my Gyno!! but now I have to wait till May '14 to be covered!!
