I don't think it necessarily makes you lose weight or gain weight. Most people eat when they're bored, and Marijuana takes up a lot of spare time. You don't think hmmm i'm bored i'm gonna look in the fridge for no reason, you're like hmmm where's my f*****g lighter or whatever ya know lol
If your friends are losing weight and they smoke pot regularly, it could be other drugs that they have been taking, some
people that smoke pot very often end up taking other drugs because the weed does not affect them the same way and
they want that same high like when they first started. Not everyone does so, me myself smoke pot every day and does
not take anything else, but people are all different so it depends on who you are.
you say cigarettes helps you lose weight because its a stimulant but weed is a stimulant too so you just contradicted yourself there
Smoking pot stimulates a glucose rush to the brain which can trigger your body to think it needs to replace that glucose, giving the user a sweet tooth, but to say that pot is a causal factor in fat gain would be false because your fat gain is only activated by eating certain foods. Personally, I have been a daily smoker for over a decade and I have overall become more muscular and less fat during this time because I avoided glutens, sugar, starches, and other carbohydrates. You can get really baked and then go and feast on just about as much meat, fruits, and vegetables as you want and the result will be improved health & a leaner body, not the opposite.
I'm surprised nobody got this one! it's quite easy to understand why a cigerette smoker who quites gains wieght, but you got to face facts, weed is a drug, it changes the way your liver and kidney's process, it will alter the effectivness of medications as well. the correct answer would be addiction, If you believe you can't get addicted to pot your really a pot head, so enjoy. 420 cya!

i'm not sure what it is about weed that makes you lose weight but i started smoking weed heavily about 3 years ago. i weighed about 65kgs before. within about 1-2 months of heavy smoking, i had lost about 10-15kgs. ive been smoking pot consistently since and have maintained a weight between 50-55kgs. i didnt change any of my eating habits at all. except now i find it really hard to eat when im not stoned and completely lose my appetite. if i dont smoke for a week, i pretty much don't eat for a week. thats what happened to me anyway. either way its definitely not the healthy option for weight loss at all.
Tell him to stop smoking and stop cigarettes if he has thoes. and watch his weight start balencing out maybe if he works out eating the right foods he will gain weight and become a fatty then you can leave him for me hahahaha... joikes!
