weight lifting is helpful for growth of our body...
Keep lifting! It only does good.
Can i see a picture of you, because those numbers are so freaking big
Lmao this is just sad. Here
I started working out at 13, I was 5'6 at the end of 7th grade. 8th grade I lifted heavy weights for football and I grew to 5'8. Freshman year I took a month or two break then I got back into toning up then lifting really heavy (bench press 225, squat 375, dumbbell curl 55 etc)(and no. I'm not lying. I was a little beefcake 8th grader) and this whole theory is bs. I continued to lift when I got into football and track for high school. And I was 5'11. And even during the time I lifted heavier I'm still growing. I was 5'11 1/2. Lmao. I'm a sophomore now and I'm 6'0. Lifted heavy cus I only weigh 144.4 during football and 136 during track. Almost triple body weight squat. Just use proper form and you'll be fine... Pump some iron.

running puts pressure on your legs 6 to 8 times your body weight. that means that if putting pressure on your joints stunts growth every child who played a sport would end up with some short ass legs. weight lifting will only stunt your growth if you lift with improper form and too much weight so that you damage your joints
they also say tht is on your parents genes
why do you need to do weights this young , who are you trying to impress , im athletic not bulky and i have a very hot girlfriend , not all girs like bulky guys , and to me you look fat when your bulky . i have sixpack , but not big arms
Yo I'm 13 5'8 and 141 pounds and bench 150 leg press 340 and lift 45 dumbells my mom is 5'7 and my dad is 6 foot soooooo?
maybe you could of been like 6'5 or 6'6' if you didnt liftweights
Wow 136 kilo bench that's a lot. I'm from aus too by the way
It really all depends on what u do and how much weight u lift
If you listened to what the other guy said then ur probably just tall cuz it's. In ur genes and u seem to just brag about something that doesn't answer the question
Hey, I have read your post and I do believe it may shunt growth. I have just turned 14, I am 6ft 3 and I am into weightlifting, I havn't seen any probems but I do believe that lifting heavy weights will shape your spine or even criple your body if it puts exess strain on it. That being said, it depends on your stature and generally, I wouldn't worry if you do it in moderation. As always, Peace.
hi,i am 15 and i lift a 3kg dumbbell for biceps and triceps,i don't do it every single day very rarely perhaps like once or twice in a month,i do a 100 dumbbell curls.will it affect my growth or will it not if i stop lifting?
I am 14 and I am 6'3 and I have been lifting for about a year now. Nothing happened to me and I am still growing. I wouldn't worry about it.
