I'm 48 and had my gallblatter removed and never had problems drinking from time to time. But now ...I truly pay no matter what alcoholic beverage I drink. It is terrible since had gall bladder removed.

Excellent points!! I'm finding that, 3days after surgery, greasy/fried foods are having a not-so-pleasant effect on me; however, if greens and fruits are a major part of my diet, I'm much more tolerant of fatty foods. As mentioned in other posts, everyone is different.

Ha! I had my gallballer out 3 weeks ago. Doc said on a scale of 1-10 I was an 8. It was inflammed and stuck to all my organs. I drank my first beer a week and a half after surgery and never looked back. Hell, I'm drinking right now. Seems i can put even more away now than before and no hangover. I'm eating anything I want and no nausea. Weird. Not that this is any good but thought i'd share my expierience. Oh, by the way, I'm 55 yo.

Be careful had mine removed 4 years ago and had mid diarrhea And 4 years later it’s chrinic diarrhea due to bile build up in my tummy Alcohol is the biggest trigger. They say you don’t need your gallbladder but really you do

I see most other people are having problems drinking alcohol after gall bladder removal. I am here to get answers because it's the opposite for me. I don't drink, but bought a 6-pack for the weekend and did not catch a buzz at all. gave me a little run-down feeling afterwards, which is normal actually, but no buzz. ??? why would that happen?

This is what I was thinking, whiskey, bourbon, and particularly cognac. I find it's worth paying a little more for the top shelf stuff too for overall well-being. So Remy Martin 1738 is my favorite. In a pinch Bulleit bourbon. Same for vodka, I lean towards the corn-free stuff like belvedere and grey Goose and fare much better. For wine, though this one is the worst Connundrum Red, and Apothic White give me minimal problems. I'm able to drink about 3, 3 oz servings of the spirits, and half a bottle of the wine and be fine in the am. I'm a 5'3, 150 lbs woman.
