I do not doubt that some people my have a peeling skin due to dermatitis of some sort, but I am not convinced that that is the common problem as most of us are used to wash our hands regularly with soap. From my own experience, i notice faking skin on the inside of my hands despite excellent hygiene and no cross contamination from touching animals or raw foods. i wash my hands a lot with natural soap which doe snot contain harsh chemicals,rather soothing oils. So, what could be the cause: my diet !!! I wrote down everything I ate an looked for the lack of essential vitamins and minerals. I discovered i did not have enough Vit D, A and C and not enough calcium. As soon as I balanced my food intake, the flaking in my hands disappeared. Forget about going for all sorts of tests, but you want to find out via a professional, go to a nutritionist or a homeopath. I guarantee you success and a happy healthy life. The skin is the biggest organ of the body, thus, treat is well and the rewards are amazing.

It's a form of eczema which sadly there is no cure. I have it too. Blisters on hands & feet, itching, gets hard almost like its burnt then peeling. Dr gave me ointment but actually made it worse. I use Gold Bond for eczema. Use daily to keep it from reappearing.

I don't know if this will help anybody but I suffered from this as well. We built our home and moved in 6 years ago. It was about then that my hand and fingers began to dry out and get cracks an paper like cuts on them. It would take forever for a cut to get well. It was like it had to run its course. No matter what I put on it, it would not help and then after a week or so the cut would get well and then another one would appear. Well our house wasn't finished when we moved in. We moved in and worked on it while we lived here. One thing we put off was putting in the floors. We have a big bloodhound who lives inside so we were in no hurry to let him tear the floors up. Well last October we did put the floors in and my hands gradually started getting better. It is now January and they are almost completely well. If you google concrete allergies it describes this to a "T". It might not be what is causing yours, but it sure was with me.

I have the same thing. It's called Dishidrotic Eczema. The prescription cream (I believe some sort of cortisone) is über greasy and you can't touch your face. For me, not worth it.

This may be dehydration. I don't know if we exactly have the Same exact problem, but just recently I've noticed that mainly my right hand is very dry and is peeling. It is probably dehydration for you, just drink a whole lot of water and see if it helps. Hopefully this was helpful

This happens to me only when my hands are dry... For instance if I just wash my hands with soap
But it's never really that bad..only inside the palms
I don't get rashes or anything

hello iv showed my dr my hands she said have noczema think how ya spell it anyways my hands are so bad now they hurt i didnt even go bk tell her as she no help my hands are so dry they look 90 years old im 35 i have bumps that ich so bad and clear white like water comes out now my hands are peeling pretty bad please do you no what i can do fix it

I think you should just moisturise often when your hands feel dry :)

This sounds like dyshidrotic eczema, i use an Aloe Vera cream/jelly called Aloer and it worked miracles, turning my hand from zombie to perfect in a matter of weeks when everything the doctor had given me had made it worse.

Drink the recommended 2L of water per day (8x 8onces)
Don't put chemical in your hands, think about what goes in your hands daily. like shampoo such as head and shoulder, use a natural soap instead, try it a month.

I also use Aquaphor Eucerin and Bag Balm, however I use them all together making a ointment of my own. Then I place white coton gloves on and usualy sleep in then. A lot of times I will get up and reapply the three again to and put my gloves back on so that I can keep my hands as moist with the lotion as I can. Another thing I will do to help my hands is after I take a shower and am ready to go to work I will apply the three lotion concoction and gloves and drive my hour to work with them on. That seems to help but I wont lie I still battle with dry hands as well. The only thing that completey helps my hands heal is take anti-inflammatorys. I hope this helps you guys out a little.

I have noticed that I have dry skin on my left hand, but now it's on my right too and it just won't go away! Will someone plz help me? My hands are peeling also.
