i have the same problem on the right side of my throat. It started off about 2 months ago when I caught the flu and had a bad cough and wicked post-nasal drip which got me in to instinctively swallowing hard all of the time. Towards the end of the flu (I was also really run-down as my son was sick before and after and I was working with no sleep....) I noticed my tonsil on the same side looked all protruding with those cream coloured stones in them. I managed to take some out my self, and gargled with salt water. Within about a week, it was gone, but I still feel as if below the tonsil It is swollen and makes a "crick" sound when I swallow. It kind of feels like pieces of cartilage rubbing together.
Also, I notice a small pain at the same spot when I have indigestion - like a bloated stomach......sort of like the air from my stomach is pushing on pressure point that causes deferred pain.
The wierd part about it all, is that when I'm really busy, and mentally consumed with something elas, I don't notice the problem......One more thing....It feels better to swallow food or drink liquids. It feels stranger to just swallow nothing. This sounds crazy, but true....anyone with a similar experience
