This is exactly the same thing I 'm experiencing. I even took the time to out my finger at the back of my throat and yea I felt that spiny poking upwards. No pain in swallowing but feels like something is stuck in your throat .went to Dr yesterday awaiting results , thought it was thyroid or goiter , cause my tongue is burning and feels swollen, more of a stress I think.Let's pray for our own safety and God be with you. I also feel this during the day most of the time but I looked in the Internet for some answers thought it could be polyp or something.I am a GERD sufferer that might help you ease your worries.
So what is Globus Sensation that popped on the screen. This is the first time it happened to me got scared and it really causes bad breath, no pain at all, just when I placed my index finger on the right side immediately after the right tonsils I felt what septahunt (member here) felt it's like a tongue projection or bony structure , soft and painless but what is this and what caused it and do I need surgery for this? thanks btw so many lisa jean on FB which one are you
I have a feeling in my lower throat that has been there off and on for years. I got hit by a fast pitch ball on my neck, right side, when u was a kid. Then also I got punched by a girl I was fighting with, in the third grade. So I've had some trauma to that area.
What j feel is weird, like something us pressing in on my larynix and it gives me anxiety. I woke up thus morning, early, having dreamed that I was being choked by a blanket wrapped around my neck. I still have the sensation of tightness, though there is no problem breathing or swallowing. It is disconcerting, at best, and I am trying to play it off, but thought I'd look it up and see what information I could find. So far no one had had the same sensation, at least in the ones I read.
Any suggestions? I've been to an ENT about something else, recently, and everything looked good down there, but this feeling is really bothersome. It effects how I hope my head, how I sleep, probably even how I eat. It may get worse different times of the year with allergies causing other problems in my throat any way, so maybe it's a combination at the moment.
Hi, It could be Globus sensation .Do you have difficulty swallowing, or a feeling like something is stuck on your throat? I don't have lump or hoarseness. I am LPR sufferer so I tried to manage my lifestyle by distressing and diet modification .Hope you are ok ..
did you ever find out what your problem was??
Same dude it's really scarin me bro.
Yes you confirm that our God works miracles
Not sure if you found out what was wrong with you, I have your exact symptoms and not sure as to what's going on. I feel a big pop when I swallow food.
That's awesome, God is good
My symptoms started 10 days ago, noticed it when i was drinking tea. Felt like something hard was in the back of my throat, and ever since, I have felt like there is food caught in the back of my throat every time i swallow. It sort of goes away when I eat or drink but aptly comes back within 15 minutes or so after. I've shined a flashlight down my mouth to try and see if there's something in the back of my mouth/throat, but it looks normal. Gonna make a Dr's appointment in a few days. no pain, just super annoying!
I too had a similar experience. Although i didn't feel a lump in my throat or didn't notice it. I was drinking a cold glass of water when i felt a pop/snap in my throat. Painful and made it hard to swallow and even talk. I went to an urgent care that happened to have an ENT who told me something similar; it was a throat spasam. He placed me on one days worth of pain killers, steroids and muscle relaxer and it pretty much went a way with in the 24 hours. The ENT said that it is pretty rare that these happen. but mine was probably caused when the muscle in question was under stress when cold water hit it.
Thanks for that. I have been noticing my food getting a little caught up and drinking and hot stuff affecting me. I just felt like I had a noodle stuck in my throat and put my finger behind the dangle and felt it. It grossed me out. Thanks to all of you I feel better but know I must get it checked, you never know. I am glad most of you have faith. That is the best calming medicine. I have noticed I can not sing like I use to or burb unless I do the tsp baking soda with 1/2 cup water. Prayers to all.
Hi, I read a lot of these post and what we have is a problem with the Epiglottis. One of the nine cartilages together they form the larynx or voice box. It prevents food from entering windpipe or lungs.
Look it up to see more. Prayers to you!
