Oh my gosh, I know I'm like 5 years late on these, but I'm 19, and I got my first shot in the beginning of february, and I was supposed to start my period monday... It is now friday and still nothing. I'm cramping like its about to start, tender breasts, and a bit tired and moody. But still nothing.. I don't wanna get anymore shots.. Like most of us, we are sexually active AND responsible when it comes to protection. But foreal, Doctors need to tell us this ish so we don't freak out and have "missed period" treads online. I'll pray for all of us!

Thank god I'm not alone! Reading these make me feel so relieved.. I'm 18, not sexually active (so there is no way that I'm pregnant) and I had my last period December 16th, 2012. My periods have always been, for the most part, regular. I received my 1st Gardasil shot shortly before my next period was expected to come (Around January 16th-18th) and it never came. It is now February 26th and still no sign of my period. I am extremely worried because I have been reading articles saying that the Gardasil shot causes infertility, and I would be crushed if I found out that I could not have children in the future because of something that my doctor recommended me get. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE REPLY TO THIS AND LET ME KNOW HOW LONG IT IS BEFORE YOU GET YOUR NEXT PERIOD THANK YOU!!!!

Hi Girls. I too had the Gardasil shot and have been experiencing issues since. I am 25, and had my first and only Gardasil shot on April 8th, 2013. I was due for my period on March 26, and I am never, ever more than 2 days late. Today was day 13 of being late and I finally started my period this afternoon. I went to see my OB/GYN this morning, and mentioned to her I was VERY late for my period, but had read by many other girls that they also had late periods after receiving the shot. I'm not exaggerating at all when I say that as soon as my questioning about Gardasil came out, her entire demeanor with me changed. I was given a quick "No, absolutely not" and that was all my doctor would say to me about the matter. I was a quite turned off by her answer but didn't press the matter anymore. I gave a urine sample for them to do a pregnancy test, and that as well as the at home test I took two nights ago were both negative. For those also looking for symptoms, for myself I've been experiencing the following since I recieved the shot. I did not notice any symptoms until about 2 weeks ago (it's been over 4 since my shot): Late period, mild to severe cramping EVERYDAY since my period was due (so bad in fact that most days I would go to the bathroom, expecting to find my period had started), very light pink spotting 2 days after my period was due but only lasted maybe an hour, extreme fatigue, nausea one night when I was extremely fatigued, possibly fever two nights this week, and very sore arm muscles (feel sore and achy to move both).

I know these doctors are pushed and pushed by different groups to say what they are told to about certain drugs/vaccines, Gardasil included, but how can they morally stand by this drug thats obviously causing quite a bit of harm?! Needless to say I'm canceling my last two shot appointments and will not be receiving them. I wish I had done more research before I agreed to this shot! More research needs to be done by the FDA for this vaccine! The bad certainly is out weighing the good! Right now my plan is to try to detox my body to get the bad chemicals in this drug out of my body as much as possible. I plan to try a hot espom-salt bath to try to draw out the toxins. Hoping and praying there's not more symptoms from this in the future, if there are, I will be sure to repost!

My bad girls, I meant my period was due April 26, not March 26 (above). ;-)

Idk if this is a dumb idea but have any of you tried plan b? It's supposed to being your period sooner. Has a bunch of hormones though.

Hi npraoxxo- I had posted on 5/9/13 not long before you. Girl, it's totally your choice if you want to get the next shots but do not let anyone talk you into something you aren't comfortable with. Every doctor Ive talked to denies that Gardasil can have any effect on menstration, but look at the hundreds of girls who have posted not only on this site but others. In my opinion & hours of research on this, they are turning a blind eye to some pretty huge truths. Nothing bad will happen to you if you don't get the last shots. I cancelled my appointment for my second and told them it was for personal reasons. They can not hassle you to receive the shot. I've continued to have issues with my menstrak cycle since I posted (why I'm here today to post an update). Take care of your body & do what you feel is best for you. Best wishes. -MRSHAM

Hi ladies- I'm here to post an update to my first postings on 5/9/13. Some history on myself, I am sexually active, religiously use condoms, and have ALWAYS been regular for the past few years (most I was ever late was MAYBE 3 days). Following my first shot in April, my next period was nearly 2 weeks late. Once I got my period the last month & half has been so frustrating. Following my late period, I got my period again 2 weeks later, then 2 weeks after that I got another period, and now 1 week after my last period ended I started bleeding AGAIN yesterday, everytime with bad cramps (Seriously, this is a cruel joke...). I ended up canceling my 2nd shot all together. I could not justify getting the shot again when it's already caused me so many issues in the first place. My doctor blamed it on stress & then lectured me telling me maybe I was pregnant when I assured her my fiancé & I use condoms. Just an FYI, docs do get paid by companies to promote their medicine & in this sad case I think doctors are turning a blind eye to the truth which totally enrages me! The evidence is in the hundreds of documented stories from girls & young women like me & yourselves. If anything else comes up, I will update. Praying my cycle starts to even itself out! -MRSHAM
