I was reading through all these comments cuz I have a bump, very painful on my inner labia but close to the top, i've only had it a few days but the pain is unbearable. Im still looking to try an find out what it is but nothing yet, i hope to go to the doctor soon. But I thought i could help with some of the comments. I had the same thig some of you had, a sort of pimple like bump for almost an entire year, it kept coming an going an I didn't think much about it until one day I decided it was time to get rid of it so I went to the doctor an she said it was nothing serious, it was just a simple bacterial infection, its caused by taking baths because of the dirty water and also from tight clothing and its just when bacteria gets in there and builds up, I suggest you go to your doctor and have them prescride you a medication to make it go away, but if your younger and to nervous to do that then be sure to keep it extra clean, go out and buy some antibacterial soap and where loose clothing for awhile and it should clear up:)

Today is my ovulation day and also the second time i have had this bump the previous was when i was ovulating as well. It is never painful but very very hard. I only get it on my left labia majora and my doctor said it is not cancerous, most likely just a build up of fluid from the ovulation process. I was advised to just leave it alone, hopefully it diminishes!

I too have these sebaceous cysts and am so glad to find a NAME for them. I had labiaplasty done in the summer of 2009 and only noticed these a few months ago when I started having pain when wiping or washing the area (I'm not currently sexually active). I noticed that there was a lump on my left inner labia. It was red and inflamed and I could see a white bump under the skin. One day after a shower I barely squeezed on it and a foul-smelling white lump came out. I washed it with Hibiclens and applied Bactroban for a few days and it went away. But then I noticed when examining the rest of my inner labia that there were more white bumps on both sides! But not really visible unless I stretched the skin taut. The rest were not inflamed or painful, just hard little white bumps under the skin. Some would come out when squeezing, and some wouldn't... they weren't painful. The bad part is, they keep coming back! I don't know if they are related to the labiaplasty or not. They are in some areas of the labia where I was not even operated on. I don't know whether to seek medical attention or just deal with them. Luckily, I haven't had any others that have became inflamed, yet..

I get the same problem and i am 18. I went to my doctor and she said it looked like an infection and gave me antibiotics which reduced it quicker then what it usually takes to go down but the lump still returns. she said it is probably a blocked gland which needs to be flushed out so i have to go see a gyno but after exams. in the mean time i have to put up with it

I just noticed one today. I have been married for twelve years and completely monogamous. I am so glad to hear others with the same issue as I was freaking out! I have have read it could be a bartholin gland cyst and will shrink then expand again with sexual activity or other conditions. I just had a full yearly two weeks ago and all was clear so it can't be an STD or something else irregular.

It's so aggravating but comforting to know I'm not alone. If it doesn't shrink in a few days I will go back to the doctor.

Sigh of relief, totally thought i was alone. I've noticed that almost every three months close to menstruation or even during at times 3 small hard painful bumps appear on my labia majora. These lasted from like 5 to 7 days then softens and goes away. One day i tried puncturing the bump though very painful, nothing but little blood came out, obviously because its hard, not puss-filled, but cyst like.It even at times resemble a small boil. When it goes away there are  no scars or trace of it existence. If the discharge from the bump was a funny colour or odor that's need for concern.Initially i thought it was herpes though i am in a faithful relationship of two years and my sexual partner has never c/o having same. I am also a RN. I screened negative for STI's about two years ago.As mentioned by one of you guys it may sooth, soften and go away quicker  by applying warm compress to the affected area. I think it may be due to ingrowing hair or possible sebaceous cysts.

Last night I felt a discomfort, and when I hopped in the shower today I just noticed it, and it's exactly the way everyone has described it. except its this long swollen line with the cyst looking things on it. At first I thought it was an std, but I haven't had sex in a while and the last time I did I got myself checked right after and results came out negative. I'm going to a gyno tomorrow, hopefully it's nothing serious.

I'm 14 and I have a lump that i know is not an ingrown hair. I did shave a couple days ago but the lump is in the lip. It does not hurt at all and it has gone down in size. It is about the size of a large pea? idk...it is hard and feels like nerves or something. I started my period the morning after i noticed the lump. It has been three days now...is there anything I have to do? Should i be concerned? i'm planning to just leave it and see what happens. If it doesn't go away in two weeks i guess i'll tell my mom but, if anyone has any suggestion please tell!!!

Hi,  Let me tell you guys one thing!!  DONT squeeze them!!!  I have been getting these for years!!  I am 43 and got my first one when I was about 22 yrs old.    They are clogged pores!!!  Three or 4 times over the past 20 yrs I had my GYN surgicaly cut them off.  They just grow back eventually.  I am also pron to cyst.  So when you squeeze them they get irratated and become infected.  Thus becoming a cyst.  My GYN told me that as you get older your hair folicles never stop growing.  Making it easier to trap bacteria.  It doesnt mean your dirty or you dont wash good enough.  Just breaking a sweat can cause these cysts!!!.  He told me that shaving irratates the hair folicle which also could cause a cyst.  LOL I told him that NOT shaving was out of the question!!!  So he suggested Nair bikini line hair remover and then spray this antiseptic spray called Coochie spray on the freshley removed hair area every day till you remove the hair again.  I used to get these cysts once or twice a year.  Following my GYN's directions I have only gotten 2 cysts in the past 8 years.   I hope this information helps!!!  When I was younger I never heard of these white bumps or any one else being pron to cysts.  People just didnt talk about it cause its embarrassing.  Its more common than you think!!!  Its not you!!  Its just life!!! Another one of the screwed up things women have to deal with!!  Geeesh  men got it good!!!  LOL

Thank you Lisa!!! Your answer sounded so much closer to what I have. It's very hard to just pop and go to the Doctor, financially. So, I was hoping to find something somewhere online and this was the best! I only hurts if I push on it. It's not painful enough that its bothering me. I've never had one b4 and I was of course crying freaking out. lol...I thought, there's no way it could be an ingrown hair, hairs dont grow there...hehe. But, thank you so much!!!! Hot bath tonight!!!!!

I have a small lump on my Labia minora (inner side). It has been there for 2 months now and seems to be increasing in size now. I know its not a STD because it has never drained or crusted. Its not painful unless friction is applied or it becomes very moist in the area from a long hard working day. Im 34 years old and this is the first time I have had this problem. However, I will say that I use to wear tampons but now I wear pads and Im guessing that has something to do with it. Im going to see my OBGYN soon, Im guessing its some sort of cyst (gland) that has consumed fluid with bacteria.
