Syncope is fainting. Unless you have these symptoms and you're also fainting, it wouldn't be vasovagal syncope
Same thing here. I've been experiencing the skipped beat, followed by cough to catch breath for years. It's got worse lately. I went on a diet, lost 50 pounds, cut out caffeine, ate healthy, still had it, got worse. I wore a monitor, and they said I have a heart murmer.
It's got worse lately.

I recently had the same issue and found out it was my thyroid. You will have to ask the Dr to test you for thyroid because normally they just won't do it unless promoted to
I am having palps right after i eat a meal for 2 wks now. I am now afraid to eat. I lost a few pounds and can only afford to lose maybe 6 more. Went to ER. Tests normal. They saw a few pacs. They were not concerned. My potassium level tho was 3.4 which is a bit too low and that can cause palps. They gave me 2 huge potassium pills. I had to go back the very next nite as the palps were continuous. Took blood test and potassium still 3.4. The pills didn't help. So they gave me 2 more. I go to doc in a day. I had taken a water pill, that depletes the potassium. I stopped taking it 4 days ago. I was also taking Lisinopril for 6 months and that can cause palps. I just stopped that too 4 days ago. Now the blood pressure will be going up. I am trying Hawthorn herb and 2,000mg of Vit C as it read it lowers the blood pressure. i am terrified to eat now as they last for many hours. I only had a small garlic toast with cheese and they started before i finished eating. I read that Lisinopril is made from snake venom! The Brazilian Pit Viper...it kills it's prey by lowering the blood pressure!
Hi, I have been having the same thing as you, started when I was pregnant my son is now 11 years, have seen a cardiologist that said that it was not a cause for concern, did all the test and every thing came back good, but still have some concerns. what did your cardiologist say
Laura Leigh whatever came of it?
Mine, I can agree is related to too much caffeine. More than I'm use too anyway for me. And definitely stress. It affects my breathing as well
Thank you.. good information
I am experiencing this as well, but I feel the cough is the bodily means to correct the heartbeat.
