You may want to check with a neurologist. If it stops when you press on your carotid artery that might mean there is some degree of stenosis.
How did you find out that you have abscess in your right molar bone?
I have the same sound in my left ear however I had brain surgery when I was three for a ruptured AVM. So because of this I know that the noise in my ear is the sound of blood flowing. I can also stop it by stretching, or holding my breath, and by sitting up straight and tilting my head back. You might was to see a neurologist or neurosurgeon to have an angiogram or MRI to see if you have an AVM.
Same symptoms but cause very serious- brain tumour called 'glimus jugluare'
I can relate! I had pulsating 2 years ago, went to ENT got Rx for ear infection..pulsating still there, got a stronger Rx--still pulasting. Got a CT scan--revealed a cholesteotoma (non cancerous) which was removed. Pulsating continued, along with hearing loss in that right ear. MRI and MRA done to rule out carotid trouble---all clear. It drives me crazy. I teach and thank God during the day with 8 year olds, it is tolerable--mostly because I'm busy and room is full of noise. Bedtime is the pits..pulsating like crazy! I also hate crowds now, along with going to the movies, parties, and talking on the phone. Left ear overload! and I get cranky from this. Will try other suggestions of Iron, horse chestnut, bee pollen--I will do anything for relief. I think it's a eustachian tube or pressure problem.
I’m a long time tinnitus sufferer, and after several months searching for a solution finally found something that helped me a lot... I still hear some light ringing in my right ear when I'm in a quiet place but nothing like before! Take a look at the video on... It explains all. I was a bit excepticall at first but after 2 weeks i began to see some improvement.I hope this can be useful for somebody :)

I also have the pulsing in one ear caused by a glomus jugulare tumor. Are you having it removed?
If you're reading this 'cause you're experiencing this symptom and you don't know why go see an ENT.
Can you please tell me if you have had any relief from this. This is EXACTLY what I am experiencing now and for the past 6 months!! i cant take it!!!
Im glad to find that I am not the only one with this problem. Mine started about 4 weeks ago. I now get a pulsing sound/sensation in my right ear. It happens every 10 minutes or so, and lasts for about 1 minute. It is driving me CRAZY. I have only been to a clinic once and they said it looked fine. Waiting to get into my doc, and then hopefully an ENT, but it doesnt sound like that will help me much! I do have high blood pressure, and was under some stress when this started. I am hoping I can get on some BP meds and hopefully that will help.
Hey, did you get an MRI ordered? This gives imaging of the brain (tissue, vascular system, etc.) What has your outcome been?!
