THAT IS AWESOME!! I don't know what i would do right this moment if I were in your position. I would like to think i had the mental strength to say no. Ive been applying for jobs cause I gotta do something with my time...not having anything to do makes this suck worse.
I'm so proud of you, Georgia!! I have'nt brought this up, but I need some dental work done too. I've been waiting until I don't feel so bad, but I'm in lots of pain. I'm gonna take the painkillers. I really don't know how you're doing this, but you're awesome! How are you feeling, dear?
Orajel and lots of ibuprofen! It is better today, but still have one more round to go.
I am doing little better each day, feeling a little more "normal" each day. You doing better?

I'm glad you're feeling better. Amazed you are strong enough to get a root canal & turn down painkillers! (HUGS) What do you mean one more round? You have more dental work to do? Can it wait until you're out of the woods? This must be awful for you. :(
I'm doing okay, I got in a bit too much activity yesterday & I feel like I got hit by a truck right now, though.... and looking forward to getting MY teeth fixed! Ugh... too much pain!
Everyone else, how are you doing?

No, I need to get it done, had to take a bunch of antibiotics and need to finish it while it is not infected. They could not complete the procedure, I have to go back Friday to get it finished :( But it is bearable for now, Friday may be a different story!
Will search for something natural for tooth aches and let you know if I find anything!

Georgia, I'm so sorry! I hope your procedure goes okay tomorrow, I also hope you find something that helps with your pain. Maybe ask for naproxen... or something like that. It's a non-opiate pain medication/anti-inflamitory. I've been taking it & it helps with the pain, I guess, just not the way I want it to, ya know?
Trace, hang in there. I've been a mega b***h (I wish we could just be profane here. I like being profane!) for the last couple months. We can't help it. Try not to blame yourself. I also had to shut myself off from the world, even facebook, because I just feel mean & sad & crazy. It will be over soon, I promise. Take this time to take care of yourself. You deserve it. We'll be here if you need to vent or anything;-)

Yeah, locally it will only be carried in smoke shops ( AKA Head or bong shop), it will work as well, just cost a little more than buying on the internet.
The day after I went to my family M.D., I went to the urgent care center, who said she would not be able to prescribe anything to help. She advised that she would not charge me for the visit, but had consulted with the psychiatry department, who told her the detox could only be done on an inpatient basis. She then called over to the local hospital's emergency room, explained my situation, and cleared it with them and let them know I was coming there for the inpatient treatment so I could be monitored (she said this was important). Of course, after I got checked into the E.R. and hooked up to all the monitoring equipment, that doctor proceeded to tell me that they DO NOT do that kind of treatment. So, I don't know who the urgent care doctor talked to, but none of the doctors said they could do anything for me. They said all they could do was give me Motrin, Imodium, and Pepcid if I were an inpatient. Then they discharged me with a list of methadone clinics. So now I have a nice hefty E.R. bill and no insurance and for WHAT?!!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! YEEEOOOW!
wow, that is beyond messed up!! I wouldn't bother with methadone...that can be worse to come off of than oxy and morphine and heroine in my opinion because I have detoxed off methadone and that's when I got suboxone. I am all for suboxone or bupenorphine BUT only to help take you off, not for long term use. They help soooo much with the withdrawal symptoms but just like any opiod, you will get dependent on them as well but only if you use them longer than needed. Are you taking any kind of amino acids? I've been taking fish oil and vitamin D and have been drinking those 5 hour energy drinks cause they have all sorts of things in it that are good for you. As far as you ER bill, i would call the billing department and ask for financial assistance with that and also explain to them that they did NOTHING for you...they could have given you a number of things to help..I just don't understand why. Are you feeling any better?
Yes, please don't get on methadone, unless you're content with being there for the rest of your life or are willing to be much sicker for much longer later. Heroin withdrawls are nothing compared to methadone withdrawls. *sigh*
what do u mean by being much sicker for much longer later ?! Suboxon is a drug too,it's not less dangerous than methadone. Just because it looks nice a has a fine taste it doesn't make it like a ordinary pill. Suboxon is a new synthetic drug and period.
I've spent the last 2 days reading just about everyone of these posts. I've got to say they've been more than inspiring. I've spent a little over the last 3 years taking just about any kind of pain pill I could get my hands on. But I figured that if I only took them at work and not at home, then I wouldn't be as addicted to them. What I failed to realize was how bad I felt on my days off or how much I couldn't wait till 4pm (which is usually when I took my first one of the day before my shift). The only reason I started taking them was because they made me so happy and that boost of energy made my night go by so much faster... I didn't even think about quitting until recently when it became so hard to get them. The first time I quit was about a month ago. By day 7 I didn't feel too bad but I knew as soon as I found some, I wouldn't be able to turn them down... This time I took my last one Sunday evening.. so with today being my 5th day sober, I'm not feeling too bad, but I have to go back to work in 3 hours. The thought of being there is making me nervous. I thought I could handle it but I almost had panic attack in Shop n Save last night bc it felt like everyone was staring at me. :( I've already made up my mind. I'll never touch another one again... but this is harder than I thought it ever would be.
Yep, thats one of the sad parts of doing Pain Pills. They make you feel good and give you energy. And when you take em away that crutch is not there. 3 years, thats a great time to stop. Remember, so seem to get out of it quickly (back to somewhat normal)....Others, it takes a bit of time. You can do it; keep telling yourself "you don't want to go back and be a slave to them again"! Josh
What I mean, Miligram, is that I've never seen anyone be so sick for so long off of any other opiate. I know people who have succesfully come off of suboxone, and it was awful, don't get me wrong. However, I've NEVER seen someone come off of methadone succesfully unless they were only on it for a year or less.... with the exception of Josh, of course. No offence, seriously. Don't get mad. I'm trying to give this poor girl some advice because I don't want anyone to go through what I've been through. Okay?!
