I read most of this thread and felt like I should post and share a positive experience with this condition.

I have had this condition on my testicles for as long as I can remember, but only recently (about a year and a half ago) it spread onto the base, a little on the underside and on the sides of my penis. I wasn't happy with this, so I went to a doctor who said the only thing he can prescribe that can help is a Tretinoin (.025%) cream, results are mixed and it can cause irritation. I decided to try it and see what happens. I didn't have a girlfriend at the time so I didn't have to worry about if my penis was in "working order". Nothing really changed for the first few weeks following my doctor's advice of applying a very light amount once a day before I went to sleep. After about a month my penis got really dry and red. It was pretty painful and raw (it hurt to walk/run some of the time) so I stopped applying the cream figuring it wasn't really helping. After a couple days it started to peel and I noticed I was also rubbing the "sebum" (the yellow stuff that gives the bumps their color) out with the skin. After it was done peeling and finished healing (no rhyme intended), I realized the cream actually did a lot. My penis is much smoother and the skin finally looked like it wasn't infested with an STD of some sort.

This was a couple months ago, and it still looks fine. However, I'm pretty sure the bumps will start to come back as the skin ages and gets thicker again. In that case I'll just go through another treatment of the cream considering I used only about 1/4 of the prescription.

Just thought I'd share my story, and say I definitely think the couple weeks of pain is worth how much better it looks.

Peace

Just to let you know it is not only guys that suffer with these on their genitals. I have had them for 6 years now and although they can look awful they will cause no harm. There is laser treatments availiable from your doctor. Only found out 2 days ago what they were but have had them for so long unless they cause me any bother they can stay where they are. :-| :-| :-|

Hi guys!

I am 20 years old from the Netherlands and I had fordyce spots since I was 14. Good news, there is a treatment for fordyce spots at a german universityclinic in Aachen, Germany. Doctor Pallua who is a well known international and respected plastic sergeon does this. You first have to make a personal consultation so he can examine your condition which is different at each individual. The treatment they do is called micro-punching, they use very tiny machines to cut out your fordyce spots one by one and stitch them right away one by one under general anaesthesia so you won't be aware of a thing which is pretty good :). I've been there and had this treatment last week which has been a succes. My penis is pretty much rapped up like a broken pinky and there are a lot of stitches haha but they will be removed in 2 days time and after a short time after that its completely gone and healed. This treatment has costed me 1200 euro for the surgery and 400 euro for the anaestheast. Its alot of money but you will be 100% sure that its gone after that.

Laser is very dangerous especially on the penis, it can cause serious skin decolourisation and burnmarks and this clinic therefor doesnt use laser. I know for alot of people outside northern europe this sounds pretty fcked up cause you live very far away, but the doctor said he gets people from all around the world to see him. If you dont have the money I would highly recommend you to visit a plastic sergeon in your area who does anesthetic surgery and treats this, I guess you can ask around at some hospitals or private clinics.

Just e-mail them and they will ask you to come for a personal visit which also cost 100 euro. There is treatment just look around and if you dont have the money ask your parents if your still young. I did it too, its a bit of a shame but hey its all worth it in the end right?

Greetings and GOOD LUCK! Dont let this **** up your life, its not worth it!

what ever you do dont squeeze them, they jsut get bigger, had some swell up to like 1cm in diameter and some get infected. also dont pop them with a small needle or anything, got some permanent scar from trying that one. girls dont seem to mind them. not sure they have even been noticed yet and they are quite noticable in my opinion.

Haha at the person saying be afraid of them.. I have to admit I have them over my scrotum and all over my penis.. They do p me off ALOT, more than I should let them do really. I have just recently started to use some spot cream on a scrubber thig (forgot the name heh) and I am REALLY hoping for some good results. I will post back if I see any improvement, I really hope they atleast get a tiny bit smaller at the least.

P.s I have read Every post in this forum and it doesn't look like there is a definate cure..
P.s.s I have been to the doctors and he said it was normal, that just annoyed me :/

I have them too and i think i found out the cause!! i've been trying to get rid of them from all the different answers i find on websites and nothing seems to work. i ended up getting Retin A (tretinoin cream) for acne i have on my face and i heard thats a good way to get rid of the fordyce spots so i tried putting a little on each night before bed like people suggested and it just made my penis really red and irritated after a few times and then the skin felt more raw and the fordyce spots just seemed more noticeable. so then i let my penis heal up and tried the toothpaste method but that burns so bad i had to wash it off.

But the other night i noticed that i only had the fordyce spots about 3/4 up the shaft or a little less of my penis and i also noticed that thats how far my scrotum touches my penis when it lays. So the other night i decided to wash my penis before bed and then dried it off and then i wrapped my penis in a tissue and taped it so the tissue would stay on all night. and i was right! i woke up and took the tissue off and my fordyce spots were a lot smaller and much less noticeable than before!

But then i did my normal routine of taking a shower and going about my day and then tonight i checked them and theyre back to how bad they were before. so wrapping them in a tissue overnight was just a temporary fix.

But all this makes me seem to think that its because the way my penis lays on my scrotum all day that its not getting air or anything and is constantly touching another part of my body that is sweating. And thats probably why people say to use acne creams and other products because it drys out the skin and it would keep your penis dry. So i think the cause (atleast for me) is the way my penis lays on my scrotum.

Hopefully i am right but now i dont know anyway to treat that because i cant make my penis lay a different way and i cant just have it wrapped up in a tissue all the time. Anyone have any ideas about this?

I have these, too.

Girls don't care!

They don't. There's nothing to be self-conscious about.

MOST guys have Fordyce Spots.

If anything, you're going to get a positive reaction, because of the additional pleasure it creates (like a ribbed condom).

Been devastated for years over this. Was just hoping it was puberty taking a strange course. I am 20 and have had it for a good 5 years. Thought I got it from getting oral of a girl, but soon realised this was not the case.
I have lots of bumps from my shaft to the tip of my foreskin, much more noticeable than a lot of you make out.
It seams clear there is no, or little cure, but has anyone honestly hooked up with lots of random chicks in a similar position to me with so many little fuckers all over, what the chicks honestly say? I do think I have much more than average guy. f*****g gay, so many girls I want to try it on with, but can't because I feel far too embarrassed.

Hi All,

To help you understand and identify correctly about the disease, I would like to show with you some medical pictures that I saw by searched from several websites but especially match with us at the site:
