Hello!
I need advice, because something strange is happening to me. For the past two months I am smelling smoke all the time. I keep on asking people around me if they smell it too, but the answer is no. I smell it everywhere/ in gym, in office, at home… Does anyone have any advice what this might be?

I have been on Metoprol and have not had any issues. For me, this has developed since I started taking antibiotics for a sinus infection.

YES I FOUND TWO CURES. Okay so me and my online friend met on a health blog, and we both had this problem for YEARS, smelling smoke when no one else have, so we decided to stay intact in case one of us had a cure. She cured hers first, she had a nasal polyps + gluten sensitivity. Well your probably wondering why gluten sensitivity might cause this, LOOK IT UP. People have misdiagnosed gluten sensitivity without celiac disease. People with celiac or gluten sensitivity have been known to have hallucinations, smell disorders, increased risk of cancer and tumors, anxiety, depression, ocd etc. She cut out gluten and cured her sinus disorders. My cure came 4 months later, PEOPLE ALLERGIC TO PENICILLIN AND MOLD READ THIS:
My problem wasn't nasal polyps or food allergies, my problem WAS IN MY HOUSE. I discovered inside my closets and alongside behind my bed there was GREEN MOLD and BLACK MOLD. Read the effects of mold exposure! Hallucinations, cancer, lung+sinus+throat disorders, neurological disorders, and many more! CLEAN YOUR HOUSE, CHECK FOR MOLD, It might save you thousands of $$$ and doctor visits! A week after cleaning mold from my house the weird smoke smells that no one else smelt around me disappeared! Mold spores are invisible, you wouldn't even know your breathing them in, check for those silent killers!!
I stopped smoking 3 months ago, its been 3 or 4 weeks now that I have the smell of a like lighting a fresh cigarette too, its making me crazy because it makes me want to smoke..
Are u taking any Zinc supplements? Have found they give me this sensation.
I have this, too. The smell never goes away, but is sometimes for a moment replaced by something else; never for long, though. Always the smell of cigarette smoke but nobody is smoking anywhere near me. I am seeing my MD next week. The articles I've read lead me to believe it's serious. What did yours end up being?
What did the doctors say to everyone as i can see these posts are over a year ago? I have been smelling smoke for over 1 month and nothing in my life has changed, the environment i work in or out of work. everything is the same so cannot understand this. Both myself and my family are not smokers and nor is my surroundings, i cannot stand the smell of smoke so am trying to figure this out quick! Any advice is welcome.
Thank you
Hi i smell fag smoke on&off just like you do!ive also had an MRI on my head for something else none connection too smelling smoke & happy to say no tumours or anything traumatic ...so i personally dont think its anything to do with tumours !!!

I also get headaches the same time as i smell smoke ..
Sorry if this doesn't help you to your answer but i wouldn't worry to much x
I wondered about this. I have too many possibilities to narrow it down at the moment. I have recently got over a sinus infection. I have mold in my house for two months now and am going to get rid of it soon. It was a leak I just discovered under my sink and I could very well have a gluten sensitivity. I appreciate your information. I hope that my smell and sinus issues will clear up once I take care of the mold under the sink in the kitchen. UGH!
I am having this same issue. I too work in a small office same as you. I have 2 servers and 2 computers in here. I notice the problem when I am in my office and then the evening when I sitting at home using my iPad.
I had the smoke smell sensation for a number of years. Taking zyrtec would help a little. I started taking magnesium and that helped even more. I didn't smell smoke anymore. I forgot about it. Then I read some good things about vitamin k2, and that cheese, natto and grass-fed dairy are good sources for k2. I thought, okay, I'll try eating some grass-fed butter. I'm not much of a butter person, but it's in a lot of things like cookies and goods from the bakery. In any case, I started using it every day on toast or waffles and that funky smoke smell returned. I quit butter all together, and it's been about 3 weeks and the dreaded smoke smell is gone again.
This was happening to my son his 14 and hospital failed to do any thing put it down to mental issues. So took him to doctors and he had inflamed nostrils and his good were abnormal was liver. Is been treated for the last month and has no burning smell. My dad was getting same thing burning too. He had results today and also his liver. But your best to get your doctor to do bloods as hospital a week before told me everything was ok my son. So the smell of burning means there is most likely a health issue. But you are definitely best get get bloods checked. You all is ok with you
I have been having this too... I'm going to see my doc in July and mention it... i have several things that could be the cause... since my own breath relieves it for a time I'm not going crazy from it. In the meantime I was searching and came across this... it has a really great explanation for several reason your could be having and issue with. Hope it helps :)
