My periods been like that since i got them. They come on every three months even like 4 or 5 months going without a period. I have PCOS tho. you might want to look up the information about that and most importantly talk to your doctor.

Hi I am 15 and got my period when I was 12. I've been getting my period every 2-4 months. Idk if something is wrong or not, but I feel fine and when my period comes, I get it regularly( no heavy or long periods ) for exactly a week. It's weird. 0_o

Im so glad to be among so many people who are like me! i thought i might be the only one. i started my period at 12. Now im 14 and ever since the first time i had it, its been every 4 months. its not super heavy but not really light either. At first i was happy but now im sort of worried. I love kids and i hope to have at least 3. Im hoping its due to the fact that im about 10-15 pounds over weight and nothing serious. I dont like talking to my mom about this kind of stuff and i hate the doctors. they make me feel very uncomfortable. For right now, im trying not to worry about it. ill start worrying when i try to have kids, i guess.

Oh my god I'm so glad I'm not alone with this.I'm 19 and I was laying down trying to go to sleep and started wondering this same exact thing. I've taken a pregnancy test and it came negative but i've also seen my gyn and he said everything looked normal but I asked my mom and she didn't know. This REALLy puts my mind at ease seeing I'm not the only one through this. If you want one every month get birth control mine was really regulated and i was actually happy to see when mine was so i could plan around it.

Hey guys cut the girl a break. At 13-14 when this would happen to me (I'm now 19 with my pierods irregular...) before actual sex ed my mind would wonder off into so many questions and I remember how it feels. Yes it's rediculus to this this but when your a little girl and a virgin your mind wonders off into the furthest of places so it's not that uncommon for someone to think this. HELL I thought this at that age. Believe me being a little girl who's a virgin who's mother and grandma's dont know the answer scare you easily.

Me to! Im 18 and i started my period at 13 and it was normal for the first couple months and now its like its gottn worse,it can be off as long as 5 maybe 6 monthsAnd then miss another 3 or 4 months after it comes on ,ive been to gyno. Doctors and ran some blood tests but everything checkes out to be normal,i have scheduled ultrasounds to check for cysts and thyroids, etc. Ive been waiting along time to get to the bottom of it so wish me luck!

I'm pretty sure this isn't normal. Go see a doctor because it might be 'clogged' or something.

Actually this happens to me too. I started off normal when I first got it, but then it sort of just stopped and only came back about once every 3-4 months. I went to all sorts of different doctors (including the gyno), and finally I went to see a metabolic and dietary specialist and she diagnosed me with Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). It's very common but there is no known "cure". The only time it goes away is once you go through menopause. But if you have PCOS then that means your ovaries have cysts on them, and they are preventing your ovaries from releasing an egg every month. My doctor prescribed me pills to try and get me regular again. I would suggest you maybe go see a doctor like that if you think you may have it because if you don't do something about PCOS you are at very high risk of developing ovarian cancer.

something to keep in mind is... the personal care products we use... so many of them.. like parabens ... cause hormonal disruption... if you are not getting regular periods.. really something worth considering... if you can't eat your personal care product... would you put it on your skin? your skin is your largest organ ..absorbs.. it is not some metal shield.. so if you are using toxic harmful products (which these days almost anything that comes in a bottle or box is like that)... then it could be affecting you hormonally... a really good book to read/buy is "There's Lead in Your Lipstick"... it's a true eye opener. ... SIDENOTE: stress and being underweight can as make your periods infrequent.
